I never really rated Slowdive at the time. Early Spiritualized were untouchable. Ride’s first few eps were also great. Not to mention The Telescopes and The Pale Saints. It was a great time for music in the UK at the time.

Have you seen The Doom Generation? Blue Skied An' Clear plays at the very end, and it's what got me into Slowdive. For that I will forever love Blue Skied An' Clear.
@Moderate_Rock yes I saw it many moons ago. You know something I got into slowdive purely by chance. I used to work in a building back in 1994 and a hip hop radio station threw out incredible cds because they did not like the bands. 1 was slowdive. The other was the gathering....the rest is history.
@Moderate_Rock how to measure a planet double cd by the gathering. A really great band from Amsterdam. If you do listen to them listen to how to measure a planet it's really unique. The slowdive cd was Slovaki space station.
Notable absences of "WTSH" and "Alison". I'd have to say that "Alison" is one of the *best* Slowdive songs... but I can't listen to it because it makes me too sad.
