As a breathwork instructor & I have a reasonable amount of knowledge about the benefits of regular practice, I'm always studying in attempt to make myself a better facilitator.
Tara I think you are doing a remarkable job, the way you convey advice clearly & concisely will help so many people. Keep up the good work, you deserve all the success. 👏👏🙏

@afrikkaaasia7766 Ok! It is tricky, because everyone's body is so unique and usually requires very customized approaches, but I really appreciate this feedback. I think it could be valuable to everyone. Thank you so much for the suggestion. I will think about it and see what the best strategy might be. Also, if you are able to, please join us for our live workshop on January 21. Even if you can't make it live, there will be a recording made available. I think you will really love the content and the ability to feel these concepts in your own body. Here's the link, in case you are interested: www.belighttt.com/verity-special-workshop-2 And thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate you so much. Have a great night!

Yet another wonderful podcast from Tara. The world is a better place with her in it. I would hate to see photos of my imperfections. All I saw with Tara was a trim healthy body.

Awwww, thanks @williamhenry3337 I always appreciate you watching and commenting. And I don't even think of them so much as imperfections. More as obvious clues as to what might be the root cause/source of many of your symptoms. These postural analyses can truly be quite useful. One day, maybe I'll convince you to give it a try.😜 Thanks for watching. I'll see you next week!

3:54 this is the *first* time I ever *saw* and *understood* that I have muscles inside my rib cage that are allowed to retract back on the exhale. Sounds "duh" but this has already changed everything for me 🙌 I guess you help ppl in a variety of ways!

@yvonnemariane2265 Oh wow! I'm so glad to hear you had this "aha!" moment! That's terrific. You know once you start digging, you can go DEEP on the anatomy and physiology. I have no joke spent HUNDREDS of hours studying just the diaphragm. The more you get to know the details, the more miraculous your body becomes. Thank you so much for watching, commenting and sharing your takeaway. I really appreciate that. Have a great night!

@mijf1171 is that true?! Wow! Yea, posture and gait make a huge difference on the nervous system, how we orient ourselves in space, our perception of the world, how we transfer force through the body, and if we experience pain or not. I'm so glad I was able to introduce a new idea to you! This week's video will go a bit more in depth. I hope you'll check it out. Thanks, as always, for watching and for your complimentary feedback.😊

Hi, I watched the introductory part to your 4 weeks boot camp and now I am watching your videos and deciding if joining or not. I definitely have an imbalance, the difference is not big as your in the front but I have a scapular winging on my right, almost constant SI joint pain on the same side and I could continue. My question is simple, clearly is not easy to address these imbalances if even you, with all your training and experience, are struggling with it. What is not clear to me is how breath work helped you regardless of all these issues. I mean I can understand the stress related aspect of it and other aspects. I am guessing I am afraid to jump into it and still have SI joint pain and other issues 😊 thanks

@Franciuk Hi, there! Thank you so much for taking so much time to watch my intro video as well as some of my RUclips videos. I really appreciate that. I feel for you, Francesca. The human body is not always easy or straightforward. These aches and pains and imbalances are so multi-faceted, I could never promise you that this ONE thing will change your life forever. That's not the promise I make to my students. The promise I make is to train you how to breathe as functionally as possible during all your daily activities, and even personalize your breathing where required, in order to get you the results you want. I find that, especially if a person has never focused on this aspect of their health, it can be a game-changer. As you said, the nervous system regulation aspects are quite obvious - and almost guaranteed. But every student also always walks away with some unforeseen benefit, that they never could have imagined. And it is quite individualized. For example, my student, Diane, uses her breathing to manage very long-standing ME/CFS and actually be able to walk out of her house and be self-sufficient. My student, Josh, overcame his adult onset asthma, never to relapse. My student, David, the same. He almost completely cured his asthma, increased his energy, and improved his sleep. My student, Robert, just told me that in addition to the reduced anxiety, improved sleep and increased energy, he also noticed that he no longer chokes on his food, and no longer has a persistent low-grade cough. He also doesn't have to get up during the night to go to the bathroom. Your throat, your respiratory diaphragm and your pelvic floor are all diaphragms, regulating pressure and transferring force through the body. They also help to coordinate the endless movement patterns that we exhibit throughout the day. Learning to use your respiratory diaphragm in a more functional way, forces your other diaphragms to also work better and more efficiently. As I said, I cannot promise that my Boot Camp will cure your SI joint pain, but it might teach you to organize your body and coordinate your movements in a new way as to give you greater awareness and start to move toward a solution. Part of the Boot Camp is that I also bring in guest instructors to help further your experience. One such instructor is my friend and colleague, Verity Bell, who assisted with the analysis of this video series. She is truly amazing and gifted with breathing re-education as well. If you'd like to take a look at her work directly, here is her website: veritybell.co/
I don't know if this response really helps or not, Francesca. Please feel free to send me a follow-up question. I hope you have a great day! And thank you for your interest in my work.🙏💖
