HotandFlashy Hi Angie, love your channel. I’ve gotten quite a few of your recommendations and love most of the products I’ve purchased. I do have a few questions about my nighttime routine. I double cleanse and then use my serums. Then I apply my moisturizer.. No matter what I use, when done everything feels tacky and when I wake it still feels tacky. Any suggestions?
I have a lot of texture under my eyes that is emphasized by any powder I have tried to set with. Now instead, I spray a brush with setting spray and tap it on my concealer. What a huge difference it makes and I don't get creasing, even after hours of wear. It is a game changer for me.

Hi, I have been wearing a concealer since I turned 30. I am 57 will be 58 in August. I am extremely fair-skinned with auburn brown hair and blue eyes. I don't know when the application change for concealer took place, but I have always put my concealer on right after I let my moisturizer with sunscreen dry. It goes on first and I don't use a primer either. I use it under my eyes and on the sides of my nostrils area which has ruddiness. Then I apply a BB or CC cream. I may use a setting powder if I am getting very dressed up. My concealer is never noticeable not even by the end of the day Great video though! My under eye area is way too dry to set with powder. I have tried and tried :( With my very dark under eye circles and fine lines, I have been using a little trick that I put together from Kim Soane with Beauty By Soane. She's a Chanel makeup artist and formerly worked for Bobbi Brown. In one of her Instagram stories, she added the Chanel Baume Essentiel in Transparent as an under eye primer. Then I apply my Le Correcteur De Chanel lightly and allow to dry down a bit before using my beauty blender to tap and blend. Last step is to apply a tiny dab of CT Flawless Hollywood Filter in Light/Medium over the inner corner into my dark circle base. This also works with the ELF HD Concealer, too. Whew.....what we all go through to hide our under eyes! LOL! LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. Thank you.
Gail Robinson you should try the Revlon PhotoReady Candid concealer! It beats anything I’ve tried in ANY price range, even my Lacôme one! I wear 28 Oat under my eyes! 🤗🤗🤗
New SUB!! I have watched countless beauty videos; & for mature skin. You are the FIRST to advise that the "luminous" concealers actually emphasize the puffiness. I have purchased so many concealers & foundations trying to hide the puffiness, & have been told that the luminosity scatters the light so it will hide everything. Only to be disappointed when the "bags" are even more pronounced. So I thought it was only MY issue. I could see through your demonstrations that in fact this type of concealer was making it WORSE. I will now be doing something different' most especially setting with powder to matte it down. THANX!!!!!!
I’m 37 & have very dry under eyes so I’ve tried BILLIONS of concealers. The BEST one for me has been the ❤️Makeup Revolution Define&Conceal concealer.❤️ The best setting powder is the Becca Hydra-Mist set & refresh powder.❤️Makeup Revolution also has a hydrating version of their concealer, but the original is already very hydrating.
I'm 41 and under eye concealer is the bane of my makeup existence. I tried the L'Oreal Age Perfect foundation as a fluke and its actually my favorite. I gave the concealer a shot and right now its my favorite too. My under eye area is dry. I have some minor lines but darkness is my big issue. I dab it where I have darkness and set it with IT powder.
I was at my wits end trying to find a concealer and powder to use under my mature eyes and time after time I was disappointed with the results. I came upon your channel and watched this video. Hi Angie! I'm 59, and enjoy your videos. I use all Lacome skin care (since I was in college!), but I've been using Estee Lauder Double Wear under eye concealer. I am definitely going to try Lancome Maquicompet. I am looking for help with age spots (they seem to be hereditary in my case.) Maybe you could use someone as a model with age spots to demonstrate the best way to conceal these. PS: check pronunciation of Maquicompet. The "T" is always silent at the end of a French word. E. G. "C'est la Vie" (say-la-vee) Correct pronunciation is: ma--key-com-plee' You can find most correct pronunciations from some (not all) MUA at beauty counters, or at QVC, as they have the actual company reps on. 😊👍❤️

Thanks!!! I've used the Tarte Shape Tape for years, but based on your review, I picked up the Tarte Creaseless Concealer I'm 52 now and probably need something more moisturizing. 😊 I have VERY dark circles, and both of the Tarte concealers work miracles for me.
The Tarte Concealer works great for me. I’m 67. I actually use it as an eyeshadow base as well. I use the small end of the IT Heavenly brush to blend it. Thanks for this review. I’m going to try the Lancôme.
Love the Lancôme concealer....it really works for my dry skin....don’t know why i keep looking at others when I know this works. The only one aside that i like as well for dry skin is Clarins....
Great video. Fenty Beauty's Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer quickly became a fav for me last year, until I discovered Marc Jacobs Accomplice Concealer & Touch-Up Stick. I have been using it for over two months and it never creases into my 67 year old lines. I have oily skin but under my eyes tends to be dry and without the correct concealor, the lines are accented. It took me a long time to find something that works for me. As long as MJ keeps manufacturing this, I plan on using it. More expensive than Fenty, but a little goes a long way and well worth the extra expense for me.
If, after you’ve added your concealer and before setting add a small dab of vitamin E oil under eyes it illuminates and takes a few mind to sink in but helps with hydration and the concealer seeping into crinkles-light powder to set
I love the concealer testing videos here, probably because I try concealers more than any other product. I tend to alternate concealer based on season (def use Tarte Creaseless in Winter), but this gets me back on track. Thanks for another great experiment and the time & effort it takes to do it accurately. Xo
That L'Oreal Radiant from the Age Perfect line is the best for me, hands down!! I love that stuff and hope they never stop making it. So true our undereye areas are all so different. If I put the amount of product under my eye that Angie did, I'd have a mess under there. I put literally two dots - one in the trough area and one in the inner corner area. I set with No 7 Lift and Luminous powder, also the PERFECT undereye powder for my undereyes, highly recommend!

Angie, have you tried the Estée Lauder double wear instant fix concealer? It has a dual tube; one side is a moisturizing serum and the other is the concealer. It’s the only concealer that doesn’t crease on me and I’ve tried over 12 different concealers.
Good product but very expensive for very little product. Since it is eye area though I guess it can be justifiable-you don't need a lot of product around the eyes. Select ULTA stores have them (not all ulta have estee lauder; most major dept stores that carry estee will have).

Hi Angie, I just wanted to share something with you. I was recently at the eye doctor for a checkup. During the summer my allergies kick in and add redness to the whites of my eyes. Doc suggested Bausch & Lomb Lumify. This product is fantastic! It’s gentle and my eye doctor uses it as well. Us makeup wearers spend time and money on our eye makeup so doesn’t it make sense to get rid of all those red veins? You’ve helped me immensely with makeup products and application. Hopefully you’ll try Lumify and like it as much as I do. 🍷So, here’s to looking extra bright eyed! Thanks for all your videos, much appreciated Angie!
Thanks for this because under eye concealer is the biggest challenge for mature skin in my experience! I’m 62, have dry skin, and dark circles. I’d recently bought and tried the Tarte creaseless concealer and found it to be just as you experienced it. I was glad to have your video validate that it probably is one of my best options and I don’t have to continue my quest for something better. FYI, I recently also bought and tried the UNDONE concealer which is supposed to be like the Glossier Stretch, but much less expensive. I found it behaves similarly to the Tarte creaseless, so also am enjoying that product. Cheers!
Find a good moisturizer. It helps. Apply a thick amount. Let your skin soak it up. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes or so. It'll keep your skin good for the day. I have dry skin and that's what works for me. 😊
Sierra Janell only problem for me is any moisturisers I use close to my eyes makes them red and watery. I don't have sensitive skin. I have sensitive eyes!
@@ksc743 I have sensitive eyes too. Just look for moisturizers that don't have alcohol in them. There is one type of alcohol that is hydrating, I think it's cetyl alcohol. (Double check though). But I found a moisturizer on etsy that has ingredients that don't have any irritation to my eyes. The face cream I use is meant for eyes, face, and neck. So, just do some research into what can irritate eyes and avoid it. Pretty much manufactured things all carry ingredients that can be irritating. So, I'd recommend stay.
@@sierrarose9763 thank you. the only creams I've ever been able to use round my eyes are Clarins and Dermalogica, but at $100 a pop I'm searching for something more affordable. I live in Africa, so we don't have the range of drugstore products lucky people in the US have! We don't even have CeraVe. We do have some Cetaphil products but they irritate my eyes too. Will keep searching!

This was great. My biggest takeaway was to use that setting powder! And it's more proof that price and quality don't always correlate. I have some Shape Tape on the way to me now, so I hope I love it. It's important to note that Tarte is cruelty-free! Thanks!

I'm 61, have fair skin and have had extreme dark circles my whole life. I have tried almost every concealer over the years and just recently found the holy grail that works the best for me. It is Milani conceal & perfect concealer for $8.00 a tube. It can be purchased at drug stores & Target or Walmart. Thanks for all your helpful videos!
Love you Angie but I can't get my under eyes smooth. I use the Elf Hydrating Camo concealer. The non hydrating one is too dry for me. I've tried your techniques but a no go... :(
I have dry to normal skin and I started using Charlotte Tilbury products and YASSSS!!!! they are amazing. Last all day, don't dry out my skin...simply wonderful.

What is your removal of eye makeup product as well as face makeup removal? It could be that you are using a product (s) that are causing this dryness. Your makeup might also dry your skin and any sunny days where you are not using spf. Start early for sure. Never use soap, not ever. xoxo
Concealer is my most important make-up item, because I have deep set eyes with dark circles, so this was a super video for me. I might give the Tarte a try.

I love angie and I’m not saying to not use concealer if you love it. I just wanted you to know you do NOT have to have dark circles. We help men and women get rid of them easily every day. What we have seen for over thirty years on our clients is that foundation and concealers actually cause more aging of the skin and darkness under the eyes. Our belief is that both are as aging as the sun. It’s why so many people have to inject or do invasive procedures. Eija Storgård this is my every day one and I have the same as you, and pale skin. But first I use a little corrector (peachy/orange) and then with the Tarte coverage and its radiance, it makes all the darkness disappear and undereyes glow. Even with my glasses on. That and the It’s Superhero mascara on my lashes make my eyes look fab. Hope you’ll find what you’re after too:)
Peaches Skin Care I’m curious as to what procedures you use in your practice to rid dark circles and bags. I’m 52 and have always battled dark circles and now at 52 , eye bags. I do suffer from allergies most of the year and have heard that can give dark circles.
I’ve been thinking about being authentic for the past week as well but more about being authentic with myself. No conclusions just still thinking about it mulling it over. RisaDoesMakeup did a trick she saw on TikTok of tapping setting spray with finger until completely dried in that area before setting with powder, which she said worked to prevent creasing and increase wear. Interested in trying that. I just need to find the right concealor for me.
Angie, I follow a makeup artist and she’s our age 50 plus and she can’t believe how UNBELIEVABLY GREAT the Maybelline concealer and perfect is. She followed it through out the day and said it doesn’t creep into fine lines and wears all day !! I’m going to be trying it and wanted to pass along the news. Maybe it’s the one drugstore dupe for our favorite great working high end concealers. 🙌🏻

My favourite concealer is still the Lancome Effacernes. Lancome really does make great concealers. I've tried different setting powders for under the eyes, and the one that works best for me is the Nars Light Reflecting Loose Powder. I found the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores made my under eyes look too dry. As you said, everyone's under eyes are different, and what works for one may not work for another. You really need to experiment to find the right combo that works for you! Thanks, Angie, for helping to make the process a little easier.

Hello, I'm new to concealers, primers and foundations since I never cared for them till now that I'm older. I've been looking at sooo many tutorials and I LOVED yours because it saved me the trouble of finding and trying to figure out which brand to use. I didn't one that would make my wrinkles more visible or make me look older.. after watching your video on how you compared different brands I'm going to try the Lancome. It looks flawless on you. I saw videos where they advise against using powder because it would set into your wrinkles but I see that it doesn't 😊 I don't know if you have a foundation video, I will check. Thank you so much! I have hereditary lines and under eye dark circles no matter how much sleep I get. Finding a concealer that wouldn't settle in my lines has been my life long mission. Finally...I found the combination that works which is the rare beauty concealer, Laura mercier under eye setting powder and then sprayed the Charlotte Tilberry setting spray. Thank God!

Always love your in depth reviews and wear tests! I used to LOVE Lancôme concealer but had to search for a new holy grail concealer since going cruelty free and finally found it!! IT Bye Bye Undereye- I have same issues as you - 56 with slightly dry under eyes- not a lot of darkness - more puffy than anything. I want something that smooths and brightens and keeps my under eye area from looking cakey and aging. IT Bye Bye is a game changer for me! Hi Angie I’ve been using Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer for a very long time. I keep looking for different concealer then I come back to it. I may try the one you have in this review. But the waterproof Lancôme concealer is best for my mature skin because it’s easy to spread. I think you reviewed it few years back.
I have tried the EL double wear concealers. I have darkness and fine lines under my eye area. I did not feel it covered well and building it up just accentuated my lines. However, I am dry skin and even with under eye prep, nothing helped.
The Estée Lauder Double Wear concealer is absolutely beautiful and my personal favorite. Doesn’t crease and is long wearing but is medium coverage, hydrating, and looks fresh.
I have been using the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish color corrector and I have to say that I hardly need any concealer. Looks perfect with a bit a setting powder and wow does it work for dark shadows and circles.And in the summer this is great because it's a lot less product. I wear the medium and at first I thought no way is this color going to work but WOW. This was a great video and appreciate all your research.
Angie your just lovely🍑 As a master esthetician of over thirty years and being 54 I don’t do anything invasive to my skin ( I know I have said that before 😬) I absolutely know you can change the under eye area and I do believe concealer, just like foundation only contributes to more wrinkles and aging of the under eye, skin so it’s like a continuous cycle. Regardless of if they put serums or actives in their concealers. Those actives are depleted when added to the chemicals and ingredients in these products. Just a kind opinion. That said I absolutely admire and love how much information you give your subscribers to help them make great choices. Teaching men and women to feel better about themselves is a gift. I don’t have wrinkles, but i have puffiness and i used concealer for dark areas and puffiness (put under the puff). My faves are Bobbie Brown High coverage concealer and newly discovered Pacifica (at Target) high coverage. I use very little but both blend in very well and are practically undetectable.

Then I apply my moisturizer.. No matter what I use, when done everything feels tacky and when I wake it still feels tacky. Any suggestions?
I have a lot of texture under my eyes that is emphasized by any powder I have tried to set with. Now instead, I spray a brush with setting spray and tap it on my concealer. What a huge difference it makes and I don't get creasing, even after hours of wear. It is a game changer for me.
Try nars light reflecting powder . I have the same problems and it is the only powder that i use under my eyes

Hi, I have been wearing a concealer since I turned 30. I am 57 will be 58 in August. I am extremely fair-skinned with auburn brown hair and blue eyes. I don't know when the application change for concealer took place, but I have always put my concealer on right after I let my moisturizer with sunscreen dry. It goes on first and I don't use a primer either. I use it under my eyes and on the sides of my nostrils area which has ruddiness. Then I apply a BB or CC cream. I may use a setting powder if I am getting very dressed up. My concealer is never noticeable not even by the end of the day Great video though! You do the best critiques Always insightful and thoroughly tested, thank you!

With my very dark under eye circles and fine lines, I have been using a little trick that I put together from Kim Soane with Beauty By Soane. She's a Chanel makeup artist and formerly worked for Bobbi Brown. In one of her Instagram stories, she added the Chanel Baume Essentiel in Transparent as an under eye primer. Then I apply my Le Correcteur De Chanel lightly and allow to dry down a bit before using my beauty blender to tap and blend. Last step is to apply a tiny dab of CT Flawless Hollywood Filter in Light/Medium over the inner corner into my dark circle base.
This also works with the ELF HD Concealer, too.
Whew.....what we all go through to hide our under eyes! LOL!

I have purchased so many concealers & foundations trying to hide the puffiness, & have been told that the luminosity scatters the light so it will hide everything. Only to be disappointed when the "bags" are even more pronounced. So I thought it was only MY issue. I could see through your demonstrations that in fact this type of concealer was making it WORSE. I’m 37 & have very dry under eyes so I’ve tried BILLIONS of concealers. The BEST one for me has been the ❤️Makeup Revolution Define&Conceal concealer.❤️ The best setting powder is the Becca Hydra-Mist set & refresh powder.❤️Makeup Revolution also has a hydrating version of their concealer, but the original is already very hydrating.
I'm 41 and under eye concealer is the bane of my makeup existence. I tried the L'Oreal Age Perfect foundation as a fluke and its actually my favorite. I gave the concealer a shot and right now its my favorite too. My under eye area is dry. I have some minor lines but darkness is my big issue. I dab it where I have darkness and set it with IT powder.
I was at my wits end trying to find a concealer and powder to use under my mature eyes and time after time I was disappointed with the results. I came upon your channel and watched this video. Hi Angie! I'm 59, and enjoy your videos. I use all Lacome skin care (since I was in college!), but I've been using Estee Lauder Double Wear under eye concealer. I am definitely going to try Lancome Maquicompet. I am looking for help with age spots (they seem to be hereditary in my case.) Maybe you could use someone as a model with age spots to demonstrate the best way to conceal these.
PS: check pronunciation of Maquicompet. The "T" is always silent at the end of a French word. E. G. "C'est la Vie" (say-la-vee) Correct pronunciation is: ma--key-com-plee'

The Tarte Concealer works great for me. I’m 67. I actually use it as an eyeshadow base as well. I use the small end of the IT Heavenly brush to blend it. Thanks for this review. I’m going to try the Lancôme.

Love the Lancôme concealer....it really works for my dry skin....don’t know why i keep looking at others when I know this works. The only one aside that i like as well for dry skin is Clarins....
Great video. Fenty Beauty's Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer quickly became a fav for me last year, until I discovered Marc Jacobs Accomplice Concealer & Touch-Up Stick. I have been using it for over two months and it never creases into my 67 year old lines. I have oily skin but under my eyes tends to be dry and without the correct concealor, the lines are accented. It took me a long time to find something that works for me. As long as MJ keeps manufacturing this, I plan on using it. More expensive than Fenty, but a little goes a long way and well worth the extra expense for me.
This feels like the adult woman version of a science fair project and the nerd/makeup lover in me LOVES it
If, after you’ve added your concealer and before setting add a small dab of vitamin E oil under eyes it illuminates and takes a few mind to sink in but helps with hydration and the concealer seeping into crinkles-light powder to set

I love the concealer testing videos here, probably because I try concealers more than any other product. I tend to alternate concealer based on season (def use Tarte Creaseless in Winter), but this gets me back on track. That L'Oreal Radiant from the Age Perfect line is the best for me, hands down!! I love that stuff and hope they never stop making it. So true our undereye areas are all so different. If I put the amount of product under my eye that Angie did, I'd have a mess under there. I put literally two dots - one in the trough area and one in the inner corner area. I set with No 7 Lift and Luminous powder, also the PERFECT undereye powder for my undereyes, highly recommend!

Angie, have you tried the Estée Lauder double wear instant fix concealer? It has a dual tube; one side is a moisturizing serum and the other is the concealer. It’s the only concealer that doesn’t crease on me and I’ve tried over 12 different concealers.

Good product but very expensive for very little product. Since it is eye area though I guess it can be justifiable-you don't need a lot of product around the eyes. Select ULTA stores have them (not all ulta have estee lauder; most major dept stores that carry estee will have).

Hi Angie, I just wanted to share something with you. I was recently at the eye doctor for a checkup. During the summer my allergies kick in and add redness to the whites of my eyes. Doc suggested Bausch & Lomb Lumify. This product is fantastic! It’s gentle and my eye doctor uses it as well. Us makeup wearers spend time and money on our eye makeup so doesn’t it make sense to get rid of all those red veins? You’ve helped me immensely with makeup products and application. Hopefully you’ll try Lumify and like it as much as I do. 🍷So, here’s to looking extra bright eyed! Thanks for all your videos, much appreciated Angie!

Thanks for this because under eye concealer is the biggest challenge for mature skin in my experience! I’m 62, have dry skin, and dark circles. I’d recently bought and tried the Tarte creaseless concealer and found it to be just as you experienced it. I was glad to have your video validate that it probably is one of my best options and I don’t have to continue my quest for something better. FYI, I recently also bought and tried the UNDONE concealer which is supposed to be like the Glossier Stretch, but much less expensive. I found it behaves similarly to the Tarte creaseless, so also am enjoying that product. Cheers!
One big take away here is that setting concealer with powder makes a huge positive difference. That’s a really tough one for me with my DRY skin.
Find a good moisturizer. It helps. Apply a thick amount. Let your skin soak it up. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes or so. It'll keep your skin good for the day. I have dry skin and that's what works for me. 😊
Sierra Janell only problem for me is any moisturisers I use close to my eyes makes them red and watery. I don't have sensitive skin. I have sensitive eyes!
Ginny Burley for me, in my late 60s, any powder accentuates fine dry wrinkling.
@@ksc743 I have sensitive eyes too. Just look for moisturizers that don't have alcohol in them. There is one type of alcohol that is hydrating, I think it's cetyl alcohol. (Double check though). But I found a moisturizer on etsy that has ingredients that don't have any irritation to my eyes. The face cream I use is meant for eyes, face, and neck. So, just do some research into what can irritate eyes and avoid it. Pretty much manufactured things all carry ingredients that can be irritating. So, I'd recommend stay.
@@sierrarose9763 thank you. the only creams I've ever been able to use round my eyes are Clarins and Dermalogica, but at $100 a pop I'm searching for something more affordable. I live in Africa, so we don't have the range of drugstore products lucky people in the US have! We don't even have CeraVe. We do have some Cetaphil products but they irritate my eyes too. Will keep searching!

I'm 61, have fair skin and have had extreme dark circles my whole life. I have tried almost every concealer over the years and just recently found the holy grail that works the best for me. It is Milani conceal & perfect concealer for $8.00 a tube. It can be purchased at drug stores & Target or Walmart. Thanks for all your helpful videos!

What is your removal of eye makeup product as well as face makeup removal? It could be that you are using a product (s) that are causing this dryness. Your makeup might also dry your skin and any sunny days where you are not using spf. Start early for sure. Never use soap, not ever. xoxo

I love angie and I’m not saying to not use concealer if you love it. I just wanted you to know you do NOT have to have dark circles. We help men and women get rid of them easily every day. What we have seen for over thirty years on our clients is that foundation and concealers actually cause more aging of the skin and darkness under the eyes. Our belief is that both are as aging as the sun. It’s why so many people have to inject or do invasive procedures.

Eija Storgård this is my every day one and I have the same as you, and pale skin. But first I use a little corrector (peachy/orange) and then with the Tarte coverage and its radiance, it makes all the darkness disappear and undereyes glow. Even with my glasses on. That and the It’s Superhero mascara on my lashes make my eyes look fab. Hope you’ll find what you’re after too:)

RisaDoesMakeup did a trick she saw on TikTok of tapping setting spray with finger until completely dried in that area before setting with powder, which she said worked to prevent creasing and increase wear. Interested in trying that. I just need to find the right concealor for me.

Angie, I follow a makeup artist and she’s our age 50 plus and she can’t believe how UNBELIEVABLY GREAT the Maybelline concealer and perfect is. She followed it through out the day and said it doesn’t creep into fine lines and wears all day !! I’m going to be trying it and wanted to pass along the news. Maybe it’s the one drugstore dupe for our favorite great working high end concealers. 🙌🏻

I have the Lancome one because of your recommendation, and I do love it!
My favourite concealer is still the Lancome Effacernes. Lancome really does make great concealers. I've tried different setting powders for under the eyes, and the one that works best for me is the Nars Light Reflecting Loose Powder. I found the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores made my under eyes look too dry. As you said, everyone's under eyes are different, and what works for one may not work for another. You really need to experiment to find the right combo that works for you! Thanks, Angie, for helping to make the process a little easier.

Hello, I'm new to concealers, primers and foundations since I never cared for them till now that I'm older. I've been looking at sooo many tutorials and I LOVED yours because it saved me the trouble of finding and trying to figure out which brand to use. I didn't one that would make my wrinkles more visible or make me look older.. after watching your video on how you compared different brands I'm going to try the Lancome. It looks flawless on you. I saw videos where they advise against using powder because it would set into your wrinkles but I see that it doesn't 😊 I don't know if you have a foundation video, I will check.

I have hereditary lines and under eye dark circles no matter how much sleep I get. Finding a concealer that wouldn't settle in my lines has been my life long mission. Finally...I found the combination that works which is the rare beauty concealer, Laura mercier under eye setting powder and then sprayed the Charlotte Tilberry setting spray. Thank God!

I wonder why, at Macy’s, the Lancôme concealer “220” is called Claire II instead of Buff/Light Buff. Confusing. Thanks for the great information, Angie. Hereditary, dark, undereye circles are such a drag to deal with.
I feel like they may have consolidated shades or renamed... it is odd that it's listed differently at Macy's & also that on my package it has the 2 names as well but a different 2 than at Macy's...
The Makeup Forever Ultra HD Concealer is actually really nice for daily wear and texture/lines under the eyes.

TBH, I adore Cle de Peau concealer! I think everyone's under eye areas are different-- their products are fantastic (JMO).
Always love your in depth reviews and wear tests! I used to LOVE Lancôme concealer but had to search for a new holy grail concealer since going cruelty free and finally found it!! IT Bye Bye Undereye- I have same issues as you - 56 with slightly dry under eyes- not a lot of darkness - more puffy than anything. I want something that smooths and brightens and keeps my under eye area from looking cakey and aging. IT Bye Bye is a game changer for me! A close second would be the Cover FX😊

Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer for a very long time. I keep looking for different concealer then I come back to it. I may try the one you have in this review. But the waterproof Lancôme concealer is best for my mature skin because it’s easy to spread. I think you reviewed it few years back.
Have you ever tested the Estée Lauder double wear concealers before? Was curious about those since I wear DW foundation.
I have tried the EL double wear concealers. I have darkness and fine lines under my eye area. I did not feel it covered well and building it up just accentuated my lines. However, I am dry skin and even with under eye prep, nothing helped.

The Estée Lauder Double Wear concealer is absolutely beautiful and my personal favorite. Doesn’t crease and is long wearing but is medium coverage, hydrating, and looks fresh.

I was thinking the same thing! A few of the products were pretty limited in their range.
I have been using the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish color corrector and I have to say that I hardly need any concealer. Looks perfect with a bit a setting powder and wow does it work for dark shadows and circles.And in the summer this is great because it's a lot less product. I wear the medium and at first I thought no way is this color going to work but WOW. This was a great video and appreciate all your research.
Angie your just lovely🍑 As a master esthetician of over thirty years and being 54 I don’t do anything invasive to my skin ( I know I have said that before 😬) I absolutely know you can change the under eye area and I do believe concealer, just like foundation only contributes to more wrinkles and aging of the under eye, skin so it’s like a continuous cycle. Regardless of if they put serums or actives in their concealers. Those actives are depleted when added to the chemicals and ingredients in these products. Just a kind opinion.
That said I absolutely admire and love how much information you give your subscribers to help them make great choices. Teaching men and women to feel better about themselves is a gift. I love watching you and I love you don’t mind kind opinions.

I don’t have wrinkles, but i have puffiness and i used concealer for dark areas and puffiness (put under the puff). My faves are Bobbie Brown High coverage concealer and newly discovered Pacifica (at Target) high coverage. I use very little but both blend in very well and are practically undetectable.
