I think they just need to stop now, clearly the energy, drive and passion is spent across the decades of making/ playing music but hiding that behind angst and edge is played out and kinda sad. Let it go man, let it go. We all grow old but it's better to burn out than fade away.
Their music hasnt been "angsty" since at least 2000. They dont even like playing the hits, but they do it because its what their fans want. Its no different than any other band.
I saw them at Wembley in 2018 and they were incredible.. I think this performance was a bit phoned in but its not how they usually do it since they reformed as Billy’s been really into it on most gigs...
It was a shit show! I last saw them in 2000 and they were a tour de force! Poor song selection, weak crowd interaction (which in all fairness, corgan was never good at) and a sad detachment from their own music. ZERO PASSION.
@@lukerogers151 agreed. 100% They are all extremely competent musicians and play very well. There is just no wow at all. A real pity. They also avoided playing some of there most "rock festival" appropriate songs. Bad bad calls!
Despite all his rage, Billy still hasn't aged!
Yes, 90's rock/grunge is making a hard comeback! Absolutely love it!
Redstar my band will bring back this sound no matter how much hate we will have in our shoulders
Grunge is dead.
Sean Macguire sure but more genres of rock will co
I'll be happy if rock comes back and pop dies
The Pumpkins in the daylight is just wrong !!
😳
HAHAHHHAHA
LOL
Damn! Billy sounds like in 90's. Incredible!
Hes a vampire he's immortal
@@SuicideSeason4545 that's right
Didn't realize Uncle Fester was in the Smashing Pumpkins !!!
He IS the Smashing Pumpkin!
Google Billy Corgan at Disneyland!
Oh wow haven't heard that one before!
I did his had that attire since the 90's.
Lord Varys is back
I just saw them last year and they sound even better here
Despite all my rage I'm still just Nicolas Cage
0:58 hey vsauce michael here
Dispite all my rage I'm still just a rat in a cage
Despite all my rage, I eat my meals with parsley and sage...
The best!!!
They should have whale wars playing on a screen behind them
Wow, you're fucking hilarious...
its painful watching them play in the daytime!!!
They were gonna headline the zippo encore but gave it up for slayers big "final" show. As moody as billy is he a really nice guy
@@lukebuckley6550 moody? That's an understatement.
Billy still sounds great, but what’s with the getup?
Despite my old age
I am still just as fat on a stage

If they still get crowds then money still talks. We can't compare the 90s crowd to the late 2000s crowd.

Musically speaking they're playing extremely well but there's no enthusiasm here at all. Kinda depressing to watch.

The Snowblind cover thing was so alienating... Pure shite. wasn;t bothered by most of the rest of it...
Age.
Dude they’re 50 years old, touring can’t be easy when you’re over half a century old.
