I went and cried after I heard $425 🤯
so happy to see 2 of my favorite RUclipsrs on the same screen! please do a proper collaboration soon!
just wear a wig 😂 he speaks the truth
yes like that makes the $250 sound cheap.
Same. Lol
425 is an absolute rip off even in LA I grew up there
A criticism of these videos is that they don’t include rent, utilities, etc so I’m really glad she added that in. Great video
Missed the car payment though
Missed a few things, like health insurance and clothes. She probalby gets a lot of free stuff as an influencer, but buying nothing is probably not a comon week.
yeah, not a perfect vid but honestly a lot better than I expected. Good reflection/analysis
Probably because their parents are paying their rents lol
Peter Ticali her parents are paying her bills . Spoiled ass kids
Omg, the mark left on the tesla seat by the starbucks food 😭
Don't worry, she'll make that hair money back with the video.
Please tell me this isn't true!!
My Trish Advisor 425$? definitely waaay more
@@elazagar8190 I think my comment was put on the wrong thread lol IDK what happend. Yes I know she makes MUCH more than that. Lol sorry about that I really don't know what happened 😅😅
My Trish Advisor oh ok, no big deal:)
@@MyTrishAdvisor RUclips views generate around $100 per 50,000 views. So...looking at the view count on this video the answer would be yes.
Lol she was so worried about how much she spent on food but I still can’t get over $425 on hair 🥴😳😅
Excuse me, Beverly Hills? It's one of those places where you don't worry about what things cost.
Mary H. Its important to get your hair done by someone whos capable of doing what you want and keeping the integrity of your hair. I’m in cosmetology school and a lot of my teachers charge around the same and thats STARTING. Dude doing hair takes a lot of time effort and energy! Our bodies feel like they’re falling apart everyday and our education is usually pretty expensive. A lot of times were still paying that crap off for years even when were working behind the chair. So 😅
@@Princessxbunnii justify it however you want. That's a ridiculous amount of money to spend on something unnecessary.
@@robscowcroft7553 agreed
@@Princessxbunnii that's why cosmology is one of those certifications you go into because you need a job, not because you like it, no benefits, no retirement, you work so that you can save up for 30 to 40 years relying on a spouse to have blow and go money
Your hair lady is totally taking advantage of you. (I live in SoCal and used to live in San Francisco.) Thats insane for just roots.
It’s crazy insane I usually pay 65-100 but 425 is a lot
Also take into account products. Maybe the place she goes to uses higher quality products that don’t damage your hair as much or leave it in better condition. It’s not just the persons time it’s products and treatments too.
So happy your being taken care by a real stylist and that's why your hair color looks right don't let these people hate on you because you spend time and money on your look and spoil your self life needs more special things just to keep you happy
@@Nono-jf5bc treats? sure! but she's actually doing herself a disservice.
I live in the Bay Area (Pleasanton) and pay $200 if I get roots and partial balayage. And they use Kerastase products. Salon I used to goto when we lived in the south used Oribe only and I would pay the exact same amount. That salon in Beverly Hills is ripping you off.
Idgaf if JESUS cut my hair, you aint catching me paying 425 for hair.
I use the flowbee vacuum at my house on my schedule, free takes about 4 minutes for the last 20 years and people comment my haircut looks good!
That’s the problem with videos like this, the reason she spends so much each week is because she’s a moron lol she could have got her hair done with the same quality anywhere in LA for 125-200........ except she had to do it in Beverly Hills to feel cool. Same for rent she pays 1500 and lives with roommates so her rent is at least 3k+ ..... because she has to have a place in the trendy area.
You could easily live a higher quality of life in LA for way less then she spends if you’re even somewhat smart about it.
@@caseymoore4759 This gal is making money and probably doing OK financially, her spending is good for the economy. She will probably be making even more money as her subs grow, she hires people, that's cool plus I like her and her style, she makes good quality content and isn't poverty conscious. you could’ve literally saved almost half of what you did by not buying $14 salads and $420 on your hair
i personally don't see splurging on hair that big of a deal. i've had cheap jobs done and it was honestly NOT worth saving a few bucks. i will never go cheap on my hair again, and i only have to get it done every 3 months. the weekly cost is 35$ so. but yea, buying groceries and cooking at home wil always save money
@@mozelac5440 Honestly, I think you can get a high-end haircut for no more than $250. $420 is a bit much...

@@pamelae.moreno474 it's still unfair 😂 but I guess it happens to all of us one way or the other
Cee_Jay Live the stupidity is very real
I felt the same after analyzing my families spending. 🙈 Too much money on food! Right now I’m documenting a 3 month no-buy. So for me that’s no eating out, no clothes or makeup. In short... We have a family of 6, so we’ve figured a weekly grocery budget of $137. So far so good with one month in- it feels good to be saving for a trip instead of eating out so much. Don’t get me wrong- I do miss takeout though!!!! 😆
I love how you documented your week's expenses then ended the video by sharing your learnings, what you could improve on, those studies made me realize things as well, and some tips on how we can handle our money better, too. Love the honesty!
The psychology of paying with a card versus cash is HUGE. It’s such a contributing factor of overspending. Love this video 💛💛💛
Absolutely, and you know what? Banks WANT it that way.
Aristide Regnier well if we can’t be smarter than that, i suppose it’s their right to exploit and profit on it 🤣
I just don’t carry cash because if I get mugged walking downtown it’s gone. They can take my card and I can get that money back/freeze my card.
Credit cards are a bit more secure than cash, though. If you lose it or someone steals cash, it's gone. Credit cards have fraud protection and can be cancelled immediately if lost or stolen. Also, most cards offer 1-2% cashback automatically just for using them, which is essentially free money just for spending as you normally would. At the end of the day, it's your responsibility to keep track of your expenses. If you struggle with this, apps like Mint can help keep you accountable, as well as personally tracking every item you spend your money on through an Excel doc or journal.
It’s the opposite for me? When I have cash, it’s gone in like 2 seconds. When I have to use my card, I usually talk myself out of purchases. My bank sends me texts when I make any sort of purchase and I hate seeing them. With cash, nothing is really tracking my expenses (I have to take the time to write down what I spent, and with smaller things like a $1 granola bar or a $2 pack of gum, I get too lazy to write it down and i find myself not even remembering where $20 just suddenly vanished to). I’m super frugal tho, I spend maybe like $10/week at most. I live at home so no rent, and I’m on a full ride at school so no debt/school charges to worry about.
The haircut was a rip off
right... i spent 250 in 1 visit for ombre hair then they wanted me to go back again because it was incomplete for another 250 >:/
It wasn’t a haircut
My grandma is a hair dresser and charges that mutch and more sometimes but it's because how mutch time they spend on one person's hair not just because they want to charge that mutch

Although you spent a lot of money, I thoroughly enjoyed this video because of how real and honest you were. A lot of these videos end up being fake or the RUclipsr cuts down for the sake of the video so good job!! ❤️
Watching this made me reminiscent of my years in the US as a university student in Indiana. Ah good old days with great memories. Thank you for this honest, telling video! I think it will be great if you shoot the same-themed video for travelling overseas, keeping track on every expense while on trip.
I love how you are honest about everything!
I loved your final take on it - seemed like a lot of the stuff you spent money on was worth it to you, but you also saw some stuff (like food!) that you could definitely cut back on. I feel like all people could probably benefit from doing an exercise like this so we could figure out the same!
Spending way too much eating out. Overpriced grass.
lol "overpriced grass"
I spend 0.99 Cnd $ for 1 week worth of raw salad lol
@n s I make close to that. And my monthly bills are less than her rent alone. She lives way outside the realm of intelligent budgeting.

Why did I laugh at this 😂
I really love the direction where your channel is going in. I am for sure hitting the bell notification button now.
What a sympathetic girl. I wish you the best in your life 🙌🏼
I noticed a trend. When it comes to your hair you spend WAY TO MUCH. Don't get me wrong you look wonderful but you definitely need to shop around and find folks who will do as just as well for much less. Perhaps make a vid on doing exactly that. Sure would like to see more U Tube related things. Happy Holidays 🎅🎄🥳🍹❄☃️
The things is her hair doesn't even look like she spends that much on it...smh
@Fuzzybucket doesn't matter
@Fuzzybucket how do you know. Where does her streams of income come from?
@Fuzzybucket regardless of what she makes the point of this episode is what she spends in a allotment of time. True spending this much on her hail won't leave her unable to buy food for a month. But the purpose of this vid was to see what she is spending money on and where she could improve herself. Definitely needs to spend less on her hair. 🎅
Opp's, meant "hair" not "hail".🤪
The whole time I was watching this I was thinking, 'I wonder what Graham Stephan would say..?' I was so happy to see you included that interview with him at the end!
I love that you included the monthly things!
wow! food for thought most definitely - might give this a try and see how I go leading into a new decade.
THANK YOU for actually including living expenses(apartment, utilities, etc.) in this!
I don’t understand why you spend so much on your hair. I know you are aware that you spend more than the average SoCal girl from your past video comments. Such a rip off to spend $425 on highlights. I get a full highlight and haircut in Long Beach for $165! Just drive 30 min and save hundreds. It seems like you think only Beverly Hills will give you good results?
She probably makes 10 times more money then you. That's why is really easy for her spend that much money.
MAR SAN doesn’t matter how much money she makes compared to me. Being ripped off is being ripped off. I could understand if she was getting a better service or better results but I mean her hair just looks like an average highlight appointment to me. Makes no sense lol
@@Melissy101 Beverly Hills its expensive everyone knows that, Just saying when people makes a lot of money, they don't need to save money or look for discounts.

This is an interesting topic and you are transparent, pretty and all that, but you're b-roll and editing game is A+++ and that's what knocks it out of the park. Good job.
Refreshing to see someone being honest on these videos
To tell the truth if she makes a tremendously larger amount than what she spends then she's fine but if the story was different I would have changed the video to stop myself from crying
Thando Mbambo 😂😂😂
For me the irritating thing is that she spends so much for so little and acts like it’s just how it is in LA lol she could easily spend less and get way more for her money. For less money for example she could have a entire house, garage and yard 20 min or less from popular places to hangout. But she needs to live in the expensive trendy places and acts like that’s normal rent
can you do best and worst purchases for 2019

@@reagan6743 you don't know how much food is priced here. New York city is even pricier. New York city transplants think Los Angeles prices are bargains. So' you don't know what you are talking about. The Los Angeles area is huge with no real system to reasonably connect to another community without being in traffic. I’m definitely suffering from the “lifestyle inflation” you mentioned! Thanks for the video, we can all do better!
This was super interesting and insightful!
The richer you are the more you spend.
Well, you aren’t rich then. I mean, would you call someone rich who makes $10,000 a month and spends $20,000 a month? Who is actually richer? Someone who makes $3000 a month and spends $2000 a month or someone who makes $5000 a month and spends $6000 a month? Exactly! It’s not about how much money you make, it’s all about how much money you keep!
Eleonora Ponziati let‘s call it financial fluidity then
Exactly! And the more the IRS takes too.

I am so confused. How does it take $425 and 5 hours to color roots? Aren't there boxes of coloring things at Target for cheap?
Also aren't salads supposed to be a cheap alternative to a real meal?
Not really the hair product from the store is normally cheaply made and from a salon is better materials

@@davidcrabb7293 Sounds good to me. Bar drinks are stupidly expensive. Plus the video games are home and not at a boring bar.
It’s LA. The cost of living and cost of everything sucks
This is crazy !
Do ppl even cook ?!!
When I moved out, I was working a job that barely covered my rent. I *had* to stop eating these *$15* salads and all the BS
I started going to the local markets every weekend and would buy groceries, chicken or fish or meat .... with some occasional canned tuna. And l would cook breakfast and take lunch with me everyday. It was much much better food and super cheap compared. I had rice, chicken and salad for lunch which you could pay for like $30 in a restaurant. I paid about $40 a week for my food, and I eat a lot, I'm a 235 lbs man. I used to eat very well.
That salad she ate, the actual cost of making it at home is like $3.
I used to do a big bowl of tuna salad, I had my own spin on it. And it would last me 3 days, I would pack some everyday when going out.
I cooked on Sunday some of the food to last me most of the week, I'd do the chicken and rice, keep the salads in containers, and the other stuff I'd do would just be everyday thing easy to make.
Coffee too, never paid more than $1.5 for a cup, I had my own machine which my mother gave me at home, and I would get ground coffee from the market from a guy there, $4-6/lbs and that lasts through the month if I drink one cup in the morning !
So advice for young men and women out there, learn to go to the markets and cook for urself, trust me, you'll save a *ton* of money !!
Sometimes ' but there are people who have a lot of obligations to their time. Delivery or dining out is the best or only option.
