- This is a video of A7X playing God Hates Us in Balad, Iraq. They dedicated the song to my platoon. We got to hang out with some of the guys before the show and pulled our Trucks up to the stage. We had a blast. Video was filmed by Spc. Derek Williams of The Scout Sniper Platoon in HHC 3/156

That's why I fuckin love this band. They lost Jimmy, they were not in a position to tour. Still they did a show for the soldiers.
He died in 2009, this was in 2010

I didn’t like how they produced it sounds like the screams were fake. When I heard it live I fell in love and was SO IMPRESSED blown away by Matt’s vocals

I was there. There was a pit in the middle of the crowd about 30 feet from the stage. Soldiers were in cams or PT gear with M16's/M4's on their backs. one of the best nights of my fucking life. A7X was incredible that evening.
People call A7X emos and shit, but in reality, how many other big named bands would Travel to Iraq and do a concert for our Troops, This is so Respectful in my opinion and thats why I love these guys
