Thanks for the video, always enjoy watching your content. What watch are you wearing?
was thinking about adding a fixed g10 non metallic blade either at the waist or ankle, what are ur thoughts on either or, or both?
I always carry multiple blades. I will keep a fixed blade handy when it gets into colder weather. It's difficult to find a good EDC fixed blade that ticks all the boxes, so far my two favorites have been Lucas Burnley's Obake(CRKT) and actually a cheap Ozark Trail(Wally world) fixed blade.
Fn bot below my response,I reported it.
@@xXxguitarman93 I should but w/spray And sidearm my Glock field knife would be too much working on pallets of soda-pop all day!🙂
Former Navy special weapons man 6 years here. Great podcast, great info. Really like all the descriptions. Bravo :-)
Team, the rounds I have in my magazines are Hornady Critical Defense Rounds, not HST
I like that you go into so much detail about your choices and why. Super helpful.
It would be awesome to hear stories & your perspective as your time as a cop! Thanks for the content and everything you’ve done for this country!!
I just can't get enough of your videos. I really like all your content and you just do awsome things. I appreciate what you do to help people like me to be safe and smart.
For me, a G36 or more recently a Sig 365 and an Emerson karambit just like yours. I absolutely love mine as well! I had an older one like yours for years until about 6 years ago I broke the tip. Sent it back to Emerson and they sent me a new one with the new style chisel point tip. Mine is with me everyday 👍🏼👍🏼
Your courses are legit! Thanks for the knowledge 🤙
These are the vids I wanna see brother, keep em coming!!
Forward Controls Design makes perfect co witness height sights for that plate/RMRcc set up. Great content as always.
Good to see some content from you. Respect from AZ.
Everyone should do an EDC video in this format, awesome job
Thank you San
7 year Navy Aviation Veteran here, another great video. Thank you...
Cheers brotha
Thyrm switchback is so underrated, a must in my EDC.
Great video on the EDC, I love your videos very down to earth keep the good work.
Much love bro keep them vids coming man👍🙏😎
Great video, thanks for the content and for your service.
Awesome. Now I need to equip myself with muscles. Great vid.
Awesome video and EDC. I recently started carrying a Bradford Guardian 3 as an EDC knife instead of a folder and I really like it, it is mainly used for opening boxes at work so I doubt it is any better then a folder for what I am doing, but having a full tang knife is reassuring if some crazy BS situation happens and I have to process some wood and make a fire lol.
Thanks for the effort. Excellent vid👍👍
good video and content and great channel!
I ccw’d the glock 26 & 19 for years and years but just recently went to micro 9.
i can ccw @work as long as it is exactly what ccw is and that means concealed.
so i tested the 43x, p365 and shield plus.
went with the shield plus, mainly for the conceal ability for my height/weight and the great trigger right out of the box, and s&w dependability.
been a glocktard for a long time but changing up my edc has been great!
Great video thank you Sir. Love from Australia!
Taurus gx4,it came with a Riton factory installed+kydex holster. The trigger pull is a little heavy but I have 2 12rd mags. Fox 5.3,1.5oz stream spray in a Hard nylon holster. Ozark trail😁variable width beam/strobe flashlight. Coast knife that I keep Sharp and clean. Harley-davidson truckers wallet😄 Security seems more worried about the Chain on my wallet than anything else I carry! 5.11 operators belt because the locking assaulters belt literally cut off the circulation in my legs. Sunglasses,a prayer card,a challenge coin, etc. Thanks for the video sir!🇺🇸
Much love bro, you look great. Super relaxed orbital sockets, looking significantly less stressed. I'm happy to see it dude. Glad I found your channel, subbed brother.
Cheers brotha thank you
I think you have a Solid set up Brother. Simple, but all proven, effective, reliable gear choices. I’ve been running a similar set up for many years, just a bit bigger in overall size. A G19, two spare G17 magazines, and for my blade, a Emerson CQC Super 7. I think your choices especially the smaller, slimmer pistol, would allow for a more discreet and comfortable EDC, which is important, as it might mean for many people, the difference between carrying and not carrying. Again, I think your personal choices are Solid, and would work well in many environments!!! Glenn N, Chandler AZ. Teams!!!
lcp max pocket holster, signal leatherman, olight keychain with lighter, pocket med kit. Lightweight and carry everywhere
Good vid man. Keep the content coming. ☝🏼✅

Great vid. Thnx Travis 👊
I EDC the same 43x mos set up but I absolutely LOOOOOVE THE VERTX GEAR!! I went crazy on the Delta stretch 2.1 and lite plus I went with the Vertx Gamut 2.0 for my Springfield Saint Victor 7.5 Pistol with a Law Tactical folder and I don't think I'll be changing anything for a while!!!! Great video brotha!
VERTX are my go to EDC pants, they are badass
What mount do you use for your RMRcc? The only two I have seen on the Trijicon website are for full-size mos glocks or the 43x that is without mos.
Outstanding ☮️
I got the fox Emerson karambit and love it I also carry a fixblade but that's only my defense blade it's the bench made greg Thompson socp and I love it it's very easy to conceal and deploy if needed
Keep it up man, good stuff
Similar loadout. Just picked up a P365 XMacro, so we'll see how that carries. May look into that belt as well. Using a worn out leather one now. Great vid Brother.
Sweet setup and well organized.
Great video! I just switched my 43x mos for a p365 xmac, running 2 21rd mags a friends company made for my dpts DI guys, I stopped carrying with a weapon light, and opted for a surefire EDCL1-T, went from Emerson fixed blade variant karambit to a folder like yours, went from those carbon fiber wallets to a simple recycled fire fighters wallet, our dpt uses FedP HST too, custom holster holds pistol and 1 mag, and I use the neo mag too for other mag. Magpul glasses, and a TQ. I usually travel alot so I keep a bag or a sling with me all the time! I carry in my light sling, a dark angel med kit, 2 more tq's and misc med stuff. 2 more spare mags, an esee izula 2, anker charger, premier soft insert, etc.
What kind of sling bag do you usr brother
@@a-t5380 alpakas larger bravo sling bag, as well, filsons dryden bag that I just swapped for vertx valet, which looks similar but has dedicated ccw off body compartment. Though I carry a 26, I have a fullsize 17 in bag, a lw rig with mags.
I may be OLD but I still enjoy carrying as if non per env hehe.
We had an a/s event occur 5 years ago, security guard on our floor? He ran his 19 dry, why? He was a terrible shot as he prob never trained on his own to maintain.... situation ended up being resolved by myself and 2 other Veterans haha. Never made our local news.
During riots, I used larger bag to hold more stuff esp reloads, even off duty, I carry more then normal. We had dispatchers and other deputies followed and assaulted by rioters...
I like vertxs new line, seems more grown up. Stuff Id use working from down in south J berg to ep/psd in the 80s hahahaha...good lord I am so old...
Love the new shark and diver logo bought it on a shirt from howitzer and love it
Well done Travis.
I enjoy your awesome videos. Looking forward to the EDC pants video. I’m a tall ahole however 34 waist by 36 length. Thanks man. Keep winning💪
My issues duty weapon is a G45 and we are also issued the Federal HST 124 gr +P. My off-duty EDC pistol is switched between a G43 or a Shadow Systems CR920.
Great video. Look forward to some training with you this summer.

Knife: Emerson CQC-15
Light: Surefire EDC-LT1

Sucks that you guys out in Cali can't run the Shield Arms 15 round metal mag for the 43x it's a awesome upgrade! Anyways great video I always love seeing what other dudes are running with!
All would fit nicely into a hill people gear belt pack medium. Awesome edc carry solution.
Thank you…!
Just found your channel and glad I did.
Great video!
Retired LEO. My edc is very similar. I also prefer a handheld flashlight vs pistol mounted. For all the reasons you listed. Besides that, The only difference for me is that I have a TQ. I didn’t always.
Great EDC Travis. Thanks for sharing it with us!
🔥🔥🔥
For Carry round’s Federal HST & Speer Gold Dot are they only ones I trust to perform exactly as you would want them to, and NOT over penetrate. over penetration is one of my biggest fears. The only thing that I fear more than having to shoot someone is having to shoot someone and also hurting innocent people behind them because the bullet kept going…. That would really be the only way to make that situation astronomically worse.
Cool bro. Ima check out that flashlight and those pants I like fixed blades.
Thank you Travis. Huge fan thank you for your service. Both as Navy Seal and a Leo.
An old school WT? that a blast from the past! (no pun intended. 🙂)
I forgot to mention that besides my trusty Emerson Super 7 that I’ve been carrying since 2004, I often in addition to, have on my person a Colonel fixed blade made by Fox Knives, and sold and distributed by BCM. 👍🏻
+1 for the 43X MOS.
I typically go with:
43X MOS w/ Neomag spare
RMRcc 3.25 MOA or HS507K for my optic (both have served me well)
Pro-Tech Malibu Reverse Tanto
Surefire Stiletto Pro (definitely want to get into Modlite at some point)
Ashland Leather - Johnny the Fox or Trayvax Ascent (depending on the occasion)
Great set up mine is very similar only difference is I keep nothing in my back pockets considering I live in a major city and it’s too easy to be pick pocketed.
I love my 43x mos and my microtech.
I’d like to see you do a Stop The Bleed video based off your knowledge and experience as a medic.
thanks
My dad has the 43x and I want one now!!!
Good one. I've been thinking about going with an external light source. This is helpful. I'm running a czpo1 with a tlr1 from the appendix and cold steel voyager clip point. Wouldn't mind changing it up a little to tell you the truth. Thanks for sharing. You got me thinking.
Cz p01/pcr are about the best edc ever. Been rocking the pcr for about 8 years now. I installed the Cajun Gun Works defense package myself, did warren fiber front sight blacked out rear, use the 15 round mags with the 10 spring follower from cz custom for 16+1 in a flat mag, keep a 15 round with Taran Tactical +4 and 10 spring follower for spare mag for 20+1. lok palm swell bogies and talon pro grip tape on front and back straps. 8lb da, 3.5 lb sa. Super fast and accurate. Appendix is the way to carry for sure. Kore ultra appendix belt, I use the benchmade Adams fixed blade push dagger on offhand side iwb, Spyderco pm3 limited run in sv45vn super steel, Streamlight pen light, sometimes carry ranger bands or some smaller tourniquet, med kit in car, minimalist rfid block wallet. I have other pistols like a Hellcat I built custom with a comp, trigger, hardened firing group parts and stuff but I keep going back to the pcr most of the time.
@@thorshammer5134 sounds like a solid load out. I've been considering getting some work done by CGW too. Thanks for sharing...
Good stuff. 👍
Where is that camo tray from? Been looking for something like that for awhile! Great vid🎉
Check out the izula-II USA made good sharp holster clips to the belt and has good retention plus you can flip the clip to either side so you can orient the handle the way you want it
Travis, have you thought about getting the Shields Arms S15 mag? That way you have 15+1 with your primary mag. They recommend you get their metal mag release as well. They say it will not allow stock mags to drop out of the gun, which that is what inexperienced. I carry the 43X with one of their mags and mag release off duty. I took their mag release and compared it to the stock one and the little nipple that sticks out that hold your mag in more square on theirs where the factory mag release is rounded. So, I took a silver sharpie and colored the area that was excess compared to the stock release. Then I filed it off and then sanded it super super smooth. Now my S15 mag and factory back up 10 round mag drop free seamlessly and both run perfectly. Just food for thought to get you five more rounds out of your primary mag. Or you could carry two of their mags and have 30 rounds instead of 20. I am debating on adding a second S15 mag as my back up carry mag myself.
I will be getting myself some of those magazines, I have used them in the past, I though they were solid.
Enjoy your videos Travis, thanks for the content. G43X for me (G45 truck/home gun), KA-Bar wrench fixed blade knife.
Shield Arms makes 15 round magazines for the Glock 43x with no extra size.
I've ran around 600 rounds through my 43x with no malfunctions using Shield Arms mags.
Cool rolling tray
Great video! Have you tried the Shield Arms S15 MAGAZINE?
I also run the 43x MOS as my daily and will be adding the RMRcc. I noticed your iron sights sit below your optic and are not functional. Will you be changing those out for something that may 1/3-1/6 co-witness? Keep the videos coming...
Nice vid! I’d love a review on those pants.
I plan on it, these are solid EDC PANTS
What do you think about the fixed blade WPS Clinch Pick knife for your next edc knife?
You should get the Shield Arms 15rd mags for your G43X and use Underwood Xtreme Defender 90gr+P ammo. 👍🏻
What about a video on not wasting time on bad training, how those who are not in shape can make lifestyle changes and become fit, what you would do to teach desk-jockies to be on your team (diet, progressive exercises, and a how to get proficient while being safe; and how to avoid getting sucked into fake-commando teachings, since we would have to undo the bad habits, etc.
Thank you for your service. Hoo-Yah!
Carrying your EDC thyrm switchback in your back pocket is a great idea! I also have the thyrm switchback on my Cloud Defensive MCH but find it awkward in the front pocket. Is it comfortable in the back pocket? Great video by the way. 👍👍
I am old, so probably my fat helping, but my light in my rear 7/730ish is comfortable, in my front it digs weirdly into my thigh, so guess my fat on my hookie makes it non issue to semi sit on hahaha.
I carry it in my back pocket or my SAP pocket. With the Vertx pants it fits great in my back left pocket.
I like the setup and I would like to carry at 4 o'clock but it prints soooo much.
Hi Travis. I'm about to buy a G 43x. I think it's a great EDC gun. I'm looking forward to G 43x 😉
New to your channel, Thanks, very informative.
I always carry my cellphone, purell hand sanitizer, spyderco dragonfly pocket knife, 1 oz pocket sabre pepperspray. My wallet is called a kosibate, it's a nylon folding wallet but it's nice, it can hold my flashlight, writing pen, paper for notes, cards. For me I walk my dog and I must have pepperspray, because not everyone keeps their dog on a leash or it gets out of someone's yard etc, and I don't want to separate the dogs with my hands while I'm pulling on my dogs leash, if they attack. I have to carry a tiny field notebook or paper w/pen because new ideas and original thoughts are very valuable, so I need to jot things down. Oakley shades and my watch is a timex. These are always on me.
Hey man , it sounded like you resigned as a cop? Maybe a video on that ? Hope all is well , don’t worry your RUclips and company is gonna rise up more and more because these great videos in last month or so.

My EDC
Shadow systems mr920 w/ holosun 507c and a streamlight tlr-1 hl
Hornady critical defense 115 grain
Tier 1 concealed axis elite appendix carry
Surefire defender ultra flashlight
Kore essentials belt or groove life
Benchmade mini bugout
Benchmade auto adamas
Benchmade auto osborne
Dango d01 wallet / dango money clip
Dango pocket clip for my keys
5.11 tactical pants
I have 3 different knives. Only one thats EDC is my mini bugout. Love the compact size and ease of concealability. The auto knives are like your karambit. Super easy to deploy out of the draw but i tend to run my knives hard so i like to have a back up in case one of those breaks and has to be sent to benchmade for fixing.
I carry a separate flashlight and a flashlight on my gun for a couple very simple reason. If i ever have to use my gun in a self defense situation i want to only have to draw one thing and i like to have both hands on the gun. If I need to just look for something after dropping it in a area that is not illuminated I don’t want to be brandishing a firearm so i have a separate light for that
For those who haven’t ever looked towards tier 1 concealed yes i carry an extra mag since mine has a sidecar.
I carry both the cash clip and wallet from dango for the simple reason of I like to have cash and my cards. I don’t carry much. Only a couple cards and like 100 bucks of cash. Sometimes more cash if i need to. If i was to lose lets say the wallet, at least i still have the cash or vice versa. The pocket clip is for my keys. Basically what your leather one does. Lets me clip my keys anywhere i want. I usually clip it onto my belt and then tuck it into one of my 4 back pockets in my 5.11 pants. Even better is they’re all American made.
Kore essentials or groove life are both awesome belts for concealed carry. They’re rigid and made to do this. You want a belt like one of these.
5.11 tactical pants are made for concealed carry also. I strictly run theirs when i’m not working. Sadly i can’t carry at work or it is a felony for me. Electrician who works in schools . Before anyone says open carry, can’t do that either GC will kick me off the jobsite as their company policy is you can’t carry at work so it has to stay in my truck.
Shield arms mags? Pretty easy to get 15 rounds flush into that 43 X… If you do the extension for your spare mag that jumps to count to 20. Have had pretty good luck running them as long as you do what they recommend and swap out the polymer mag catch for a metal one.
Hello. I have a question. Why did you choose 147gr in particular?
I am skeptical about it reaching enough velocity in 9mm pistols of short barrels, so I am curious.
Looking for a good belt and comfortable pants. You have a link to those? Great video and thanks for your service bro! 💪🏼🇺🇸
Belt: Kore essentials
Pants: Vertx Delta LT Pants
Hey Travis, thanks for your service and the content. Love a good pocket dump video! Have you heard of/tried the Shield Arms brand S15 magazine for the 43X? Same size as the factory mag but holds 15. Take care!
When your life is on the line always go OEM….
I have over 1k through shield arms without a hiccup and carry it. Get a couple and see if they work for you. Increasing capacity by 50% is significant.
Great video, thank you! Is your watch a Garmin Fenix 7?
Garmin Fenix 6
Any thoughts on the shield arms 15 round mag for your 43x? Thanks for the content 🤙
Those are great mags
I’ve got multiple S15’s and only had problems with the Gen 1 mags because of the weaker spring. Gen 2 ones have all run flawlessly for me though. (Just be sure to change out the mag catch / release to their metal one)
What’s your other gun you rotate between with the Glock?
Very similar EDC. I switch out between the G43X (no MOS though 😥) and the Shadow MR920 (with Holosun). If I had MOS on my 43X, I’d probably run that all the time because I love the size of it. Streamlights on almost all of my EDC & home defense guns. I carry a TOPS California Cobra, which is a pretty sweet defensive (double-sided) blade, but I really like that Karambit folder too. The only difference I noticed you don’t carry is an OC. I’m a big fan of POM OC pocket clip. Kind of thought as former LE you’d carry OC, so now I’m curious about your thoughts on EDC OC…
I put a light on my EDC but a lot of people say they don’t. They say it makes it heavier and edc should be minimal. But it’s also my home defense gun. I also keep it inside a tactical Fanny pack. It’s not as fast as appendix but carrying the g19 appendix all day was so uncomfortable that I didn’t carry it. I’ve carried it every day since I’ve got the Fanny pack

@@TravisKennedy267 Thanks I figured it was Garmin just wasn't sure thanks for the reply.
Nice layout, but you should mention the Garmin Fenix 6X on your wrist
I noticed you de stippled the grip. Ive never seen that. What is the philosiphy behind that?
@Kennedy Defensive Solutions how many lumens is your flashlight? I highly recommend my EDC flashlight, the Fenix LD30 made out of 60-61 aluminum titantum S shaped clip that can double for a head lamp if you are wearing a hat, 1,600 lumens, strobe, and SOS function as well it being very slim and small with constant battery charge amount light in the cycle button. I am obsessed with gadgets like these and have searched for ages for the best of the best and found out the Fenix LD30 is almost impposible to beat for power and functions it packs. Great video man I love your EDC. I carry a swap of different knives from Microtech, Protech, and Benchmade. No concealed carry yet, but my P320 full size with laser flashlight combo with the holster has extra mag carry which means technically 36 rounds on my hip, does great for open carry when I take my long walks by myself at night in the woods.
Cool man. I know you got your shit together.
Tell you how I roll. On my belt I got a fixed blade old timer sharade 3 1/2 blade leather sheath. Glock 21 loaded 8 rounds bonded jacket hollow point/extra mag, detachable-locking plastic holster. Now right under/next to the holster, a NAA mini revolver .22 mag 5 round w/h a GHG-M clip holster. Looks like that knife in your pocket Travis, a real game changer, my knife is on belt behind holster in sheath. Keep flashlight left pocket nightime. The mini revolver...loose your primary, out of ammo, or damage, leave it in the truck. You can wear that mini to bed! Out
If you like lights then don’t look at the rotary LED light by HDS systems or you will buy it. Best EDC light. Rotary controls .2 lumens all the way to your full power output choice. I run a 300 Lumen which is plenty for EDC uses but you will be amazed how much you use it under a lumen in the dark to preserve night vision.
I carry the 43X also but with the Shield arms mag (holds 15 rounds), Anyone else?? Do you guys like the S15 Mag?
Can you make a video on how we can suck less lol love it brother!
