I'm shocked at the lack of engine choice. The Tucson top trim level is delivered with 178, 231, or 261 HP. Developing a more capable powertrain option for the Denali seems like a worthwhile investment.
I got one‼️ Got the gorgeous SILVER I absolutely love it ✅ I had an Audi and it’s so much better than an Audi 🙋♀️. Love the safety features, especially! Love everything about it ‼️
Everybody are complaining about size of the engine. Our society is so used to higher HP, fuel sucking large SUVs and trucks. And they are the first ones to complain when the gas prices go up.
Overall, a very nice vehicle. The only “deal-breaker” would be the small, under-powered engine. GM needs to at least give the option of a more powerful engine in the new Terrain, especially in the top Denali trim.
This is a beautiful looking SUV, but I would NEVER buy another GM product as I had a Cavalier that was a nightmare and that changed my entire experience with American 🇺🇸 cars
This car would be a winner if it had hood struts and more hp or at least hybrid/phev technology. They should've just kept the 2.0 engine and tuned it for better mpg. 175hp is not enough!!
This is nice lowkey, i like the design, tech and the standard equipment u get on it but a 1.5L turbo…. Idk to me that sounds like a problem waiting to happen. Ik a lot of brands are doing turbos now in the midst of sizing sown engines but this is one tiny engine for a vehicle not that small. I would expect this maybe like a corolla or maybe a Mitsubishi mirage.
Love it I have the gmc terrain 2022 but with a lot off features that I love ,but it is small and next year will go for a gmc acadia for more space .here in Canada the price is more expensive .
3 cylinder 175 hp engine again. Just on sheer looks this vehicle is destined to lose out to competition like Rav 4 and CR-V. And no hybrid option. What those guys at GMC have been smoking?
All of the trolls running here to the comments to hop on the bandwagon and complain about the size of this motor like this is GMC’s version of the Corvette C8 are hilarious. They’ll be scratching their heads when they see so many of these out on roads. Americans want premium high quality, high tech, comfortable, reliable and stylish products and that’s what GMC and Chevrolet are offering. People in this segment do not care about how large of a displacement or how many cylinders they have especially when you’re getting this level of luxury and technology for the money.
GMs 1.5 turbo is severely unreliable. It's been on their line up since 2015 and its been awful ever since. Go to forums, the 2.0 however has been fairly reliable.
@@MrUser999999 you mean like the 3.6L V6 that everyone is crying and complaining about being replaced by a more efficient and powerful 4 cylinder? Y’all are literally just *trolling.*
Disposable 1.5L-Turbo Engines that will last barely up to 61k Miles. My brother in law has a 2yrs old GMC Terrain for personal use, but he's already having problems with it.
From the back door to rear end side profile. Totally Ford Explorer. GMC has taken design cues from Ford just like any Car company wanting to build a SuV. Because Ford is the quintessential model. But leave no doubt GMC is hand in hand with Ford being the best Auto Companies period. No German. No Asian Brand can top American design performance efficiency and Features.
If you like this vehicle but complain about the engine, you dont understand marketing at all!! This is a grocery getter at best, not a hot rod. My daily driver is a 2020 equinox with the exact same engine. I get about 35mpgs. No issues as of yet, and I commute an hour each way for work. On the weekend, my Shelby comes out to play. Sorry folks, there is a reason why GM sells a ton of these, and its not people trying to "track" them. lol
Everything about the redesigned Terrain and Acadia is a mess imo, the new Canyon is strictly okay, only GMC products I can confidently recomend are the Yukon and Sierra
The wave of the future = take a small displacement engine,1.5 ltr in this case and put it a rather large vehicle/Truck and turbo charge the hell out of it and you get a
WOEFULLY UNDERPOWERED! No way will I ever pay Rolls Royce prices for a Yugo power train. GMC must have a very low opinion of its customers by offering a 1.5 liter four cylinder hampster wheel as the ONLY engine available. Does GMC really think it can gaslight its customers into believing this engine is adequate? If GMC insists upon having a four cylinder, the 2.7 liter four cylinder turbo diesel engine in GM's stable would be a good start.
Why couldn’t they use a non turbo 2.5 liter engine ? Why turbo charge a smaller engine in a vehicle that is heavier and looks bigger than previous models 😢 uh no way over priced too
Some of the features in the 2024 are not in the 2025, dumb, gear shift on the steering column , dumb it would be nice if these videos covered those changes instead of fussing over a wheel well , not much info on the auto sensing tail gate , could be a problem in tight overheads.
Buyers with bad credit shouldn’t be spending $40k+ on a car that’s going to be in the junkyard come 5-7 years give or take, they’re better off paying cash for an older Honda/Toyota, at least it’ll be reliable, well-built, solid transportation that can serve anyone for many years to come unlike this crappy GMC, otherwise I agree with you
Oh yea, thats what the smart money does, but buyers with bad credit aren't exactly the smart money. They think a new car brings them clout and a new Denali to boot if only they could get approved. Then when these inevitably don't sell and GM starts offering those low credit 72 month loans (and even longer in some cases), the dumb money line up to perpetuate their problems 🤣
Aside from the Yukon and Sierra, the interior in the newer GMC Denali products falls short, it’s not the slightest bit prenium on the inside, a large screen doesn’t make an interior fancy

We are going to end up with go kart engines at this rate.
No way do I want a vehicle that size with a 1.5 ltr engine. Come on GM go at least 2.0.
V8
I agree, at the very least the 2.0.
Ask Honda about 1.5 reliability?
Being back the 3.6 for the DENAL. Those small displacement motors are a nightmare
Not sure what is the deal with GM these days. Maybe they want us to go for EVs for power?
My wife is going to love this. Only complaint is the 1.5 should get better MPG. The power is irrelevant for the majority of this models market.
It's crazy that engines have taken a back seat to technology.

This thing will be in the junkyard in about 5 years
You’re right but unfortunately people will try to deny it
You're too generous, 4 years with no maintenance done.
Fantastic video guys!😸

Yeah never mind I’ll buy a Honda Pilot with a 3.5 liter V6
And own the most boring design on the market.

elevating?? with this engine ?? LOL good one
1.5 liter. No thanks.
Lol exactly....the next 2 gens might use Kawasaki 400cc engine

Such a nicely designed vehicle and they proceed to destroy it with a go-cart engine. What a joke.

Do you know if the Denali will have folding power mirrors. I do think that the vehicle is under powered wish the HP Would at least break the 200 mark.
Unfortunately, neither of us remember now. But we will make sure to mention it in our upcoming Full Review.
Have they released the price tag on this thing
Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date next year
nice,but a 1.5 liter and 175 hp ??? no thx
This size of car with that toy engine. Crab.
I wish GM would bring out better colors to choose from

its almost 2025! They could have at least bump it up to 250hp!
@@Quinton0520 , No way, then I would lose my 35mpgs. duh! If I wanted 25mpgs, I would drive my gas guzzler Tacoma.
The timing sucks. Why would GMC wait so late to release it?
Is the a “Denali” like in the mid-size truck or the Full-size truck Denali? The Canyon Denali is a joke.
This will struggle to pass up hill in the northeast.my escape has more power and half the size! What a joke of a motor to stick in there.

This engine SUCKS. Week power. Boring. Looks great, though.
Personally, I think it’s month power or maybe even year power.
I thought you said you couldn't get in that vehicle 😂
This was supposed to be released as a ‘26. Engine is pathetic. Towing capacity is ridiculous. CVT in anything is absolutely laughable.

Not a fan of the centre touchscreen control panel. This is one major reason I won't be buying any vehicle that has it. Bring back normal dial buttons.
GM engine choices are quickly removing them off my short list of vehicles. Really a shame considering the nice work for the rest of the vehicle.
looks like it got a sewing machine motor in it.

That engine and that stupid electronic shifter got to go ,shifter to many problems on trucks already
Overpriced and severely underpowered. Not surprised if they use a 3-cylinder for their next generation 5 ton people movers
