    My car has been running richer over the last few months throughout the whole rev range and even at idle; I think lowering the overall fuel trim might help until I get it properly retuned. Thanks for the tip mate!

    i know this video is pretty old but at 9:40 its running lean, not rich. you took out more fuel where its red indicating it needs 6-7% of fuel so since you took out 6% thats why it went to 15% and a bit darker red which i wouldve added 8% just to get it close to 0 as possible. when its blue that means its rich so if you see a negative number then that means it wants you to remove fuel from being rich at that spot. other than that great video brotha!

      Hi mate most likely your car with need more fuel if the engine can breathe better. This increase will be small and most likely not need much of a touch up. THe right way is to use a wideband and update fuel based on the reading.

      @@realtruth97 Most cars use a narrow band and can only read a small range of AFR readings. A wideband will allow for a larger range for reading AFR. These are the best for tuning a car.

    Love your videos brother!!!! On the Aem series x wideband do you recommend wiring into d14 or d10 on a obd1 p28 with Hondata s300?

    • @civicpride1986
      @civicpride1986 Год назад

      D14

    • @JarrodWillemse
      @JarrodWillemse  Год назад

      Doesn't matter they are both fine. I would only choose D14 if your ELD is functioning as you wont need the heater on the stock D14 pin. The AEM wideband heats the sensor it's self.

  • @patrickstar126
    @patrickstar126 Год назад +1

    So essentially you would want to set up your target lambda, drive around at different loads and adjust to get to as close to your target lambda. But if you wanted to tune your car faster or to have more power how would you set your target lambda?
    So say if your car was stock how would you tune it to make it faster. I understand when you get a mod that increases air induction you obviously would need to add more fuel.

    • @JarrodWillemse
      @JarrodWillemse  Год назад +1

      Hey mate yes you would setup the lambda targets and match the actual to meet target. Your goal with the afr is to bring it to a safe level. The afr doesn’t make more power like ignition timing. For na cars 12-13 peak is your target. Boosted 11-11.5 is safer. More fuel can make cylinder temps cooler. Remember your recalibrating the fuel for the efficiency of the engine you can only burn as much air as the engine can pump.

    Hi Jarrod. Something is missing . My Kpro 4v will not populate the graph with lamda values or anything else. I know it will. Maybe let us know the bigger picture for the settings needed for this tuning to work. like do I need to be in closed or open loop ? what menus to choose first ? Thanks

    • @JarrodWillemse
      @JarrodWillemse  Год назад

      Hi Mate
      You need to wire the gauge into the correct spot in the ECU and configure the right pin for it to reference. I have a video explaining the process. ruclips.net/video/1zStPCcLA6w/видео.html

    • @JarrodWillemse
      @JarrodWillemse  Год назад

      Make sure you didn’t put it on the wrong side of the throttle body. Needs to be on the plenum side so it can read vaccum at idle. Definitely make sure it’s not on a coolant port. When the car idles it will be negative pressure:

    I have a stock sensor and its reading rich, Im trying to change the fuel but it's staying at the same number. Do I need a wideband?

    • @JarrodWillemse
      @JarrodWillemse  Год назад

      The stock sensor is a narrow band it won’t read the same range as a wideband. The sensor could also be broken. When they die they usually read full rich and the ecu just runs off that one reading.

  • @josephhall6489
    @josephhall6489 Год назад +1

    Can u install wideband onto downpipe bung❓️

    • @JarrodWillemse
      @JarrodWillemse  Год назад

      Yes you can but if it's really close the reading might not be great as the exhaust gasses need to mix. If the sensor is too close to the heat it can also shorten the life of the sensor.

    • @JarrodWillemse
      @JarrodWillemse  Год назад +1

      Hey mate it sounds like the rev limiter is just at 5500 or there is launch control enabled. Just turn off launch control and try again. Leave the limiter cut settings at the factory position in the settings. Should be in the middle with fuel and ignition enabled. If you don’t trust the tune then I don’t suggest going over 5500 anyways until it’s tuned properly. You don’t want to blow it up before you get to the dyno.
