I will probably buy this because of the old recording and new stuff but I really hate this night comes down video like when I saw that end part I had to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating
Further twist is that Freddie was actually pitch perfect and they just had to drop the backing. Check out 'Wings of Pegasus: Seriously. Who is making these decisions?' I completely agree that so long as original is always available it's ok to mess around with it. I disagree about the animation, I think it's Yellow Submariney and a bit Marvel and they'll have got a ton of money for promoting AI : ) Hopefully they'll use it to trash all the pitch corrected and re release the original vocal placed properly but I doubt it 😏
I don’t mind remixes as long as they don’t REPLACE the originals. The Beatles and now Queen have remixes but they are clearly labeled as such. Unfortunately, The Who and Genesis’ remixes have replaced the originals. I hope The Stones or Zeppelin don’t ever get remixes.
Its all amazing Bryer. Definitely worth getting because you are a fan of them. I like remixes. I also like extended versions of songs too. I have a cd copy of Queen live in concert titled Killers. Its a double cd set. This new box set makes my Killers cd look very dated.
Not only my favorite band, this album along with Queen II are my favorite Queen albums, its so sad to finally see them get some mainstream recognition with the worst music industry practices
@@BryersMusicShowcase It's o.k.! I think it sounds amazing! People need to know that this is more than likely not the final word on this studio l.p.! I imagine the original will be re-released in the years to come...
@@BryersMusicShowcase What bugs me is that it's an explicit title change. All the materials and merch call it Queen I, and I can't abide that. I understand wanting to distinguish the album from the band, but something like Queen: The Debut Album would have been more appropriate and less of an apparent retcon. I'm not buying a t-shirt that says Queen I because QUEEN I IS NOT A THING!
Like I said, I’m interested but certain factors are making me hesitant (plus the price). Even tho Queen is my favorite band, even I need to be tough when things are not right. We’ll see what happens.
I'm a Queen fan from the beginning. I'm probably an old stick in the mud, but is this remix necessary? And the title change?? They've done enough with their catalog already. The 2011 remasters are great. Let it be, please.
I typically don’t buy the large box sets. I don’t actually want the book and other paper materials. It seems to me that you end up paying extra $170 for a book and a few songs. Who’s next is one of my all-time favorite albums but I’m not gonna pay $250 for the super deluxe version I just listened to it on iTunes for 1295 instead. I say buy what you want. It’s your hard earn cash. I think this is some record company greed going on. How is it that Whitesnake (slide it in)can issue a somewhat similar box set for $50?
At this point, I’m trying to buy most of my CDs on the secondary market on eBay. I just got eight Rolling Stones CDs sticky fingers through tattoo you for $8.88they were in good shape I saved a lot of money and helped out an eBay seller instead of Amazon.
_When the machines take over_ _It ain't no place for rock 'n' roll_ I won't buy this one. Pitch correcting Freddie Mercury is a crime. They're making his voice boring. I really hate the music industry!

As the remix hasn't been done by Steven Wilson (which it should have been), then it'll probably be mastered very hot.

That's a good point! All mixes, original or not, should be able to coincide and give people options. 👍

Exactly!!! It sucks the industry is disrespecting Queen’s legacy like this. 😔

Great video as always
Thank you very much! 😄✌
I might wait for this box set to come down in price.
That’s a smart idea! 😄
They should put you in charge of Queen marketing.
One can only dream... (maybe they can sponsor me! 🤔) 😁
Queen fanatic for 48 years here. Not buying the box. Not buying any of it. "Fixing" Freddie's vocals is disgusting.
Totally understandable. 🙂👍
The biggest surprise for me in all this was learning that they put out an album called "Queen I". I've never heard of it!😂
It is kind of redundant. We KNOW it's the first album! 😂

I can’t believe you are even doubting on this box set. I grab everything from my favorite bands.
Like I said, I’m interested but certain factors are making me hesitant (plus the price). Even tho Queen is my favorite band, even I need to be tough when things are not right. We’ll see what happens.
Makes sense. Especially price. I am a completist and want the different versions in the collection.
I feel kind of feel the same big queen fan. They are my favorite band and it is sad. I will probably get it but wait till after it's out.
That might be how I’ll go about it myself. 🙂

Probably not. But still, it’s something different. 🤷♂️

That's true, bands like Whitesnake just seem to be straight to the point with their box sets. Just the most important things! 😁

So sad how they used AI.... Why even pitch correct Freddie Mercury?? I can imagine that Freddie himself would disapprove of this.

I really hate the music industry!
Not for me. Pitch corrected Freddie’s vocals and guitars by the sound of it.. Quantised the drums. The Night Comes Down sounds a bit soulless now.
Yeah, the original mix has a lot more character. 👍
