    have a jubilee on my no date sub and LOVE it for daily wear. much more airy and breathable than my oyster bracelets. jubilees catch the light and pops without blinding you. my oysters tend to shine a lot brighter than the jubilees when the light hits them right and can be semi blinding.

    Very interesting comparison! The Alpha Daytona is a 39mm watch, as I recall. What jubilee bracelet are you using for it? And, not being too familiar with bracelet sizing, how fussy does it get sizing bracelets to different watch head diameters. Could the jubilee on your Alpha be used on, say, your 40mm Parnis GMT, for example?

    • @ID-Guy
      @ID-Guy  6 лет назад +3

      Thanks for the comment, Henry. I use a generic jubilee for the Alpha Daytona, you can find them almost anywhere after a bit of searching. The Alpha is 39mm's, you're right, but a 20mm bracelet fits it perfectly without hassle, and yes, the same 20mm jubilee can be used on a 40mm GMT without a problem. It's only when you start dealing with lug widths of 21 and 23 that you have to start fiddling with them to fit the case, like using a dremel tool to change the radius of the end link. I hope this helps! Best wishes

      @@ID-Guy I just ordered my own Alpha Daytona since it was on sale but I would very much like to do what you did: change from an oyster to a jubilee bracelet. After looking at your very good video I am sold. The Alpha Daytona looks amazing and I'm not about to wait 5 years at an AD and spend 10,000$ for a Rolex. I've already been on the waiting list for a submariner and a GMT for almost 2 years now. Any chance you could help me out getting a jubilee bracelet that would fit? Preferably the one you have (it looks great on the Alpha Daytona). I'm located in Norway, Oslo btw just so you know for shipping.

    IDGuy, I like the way you think. I have watched several of your videos and I must say they are very informative in regard to well built time pieces that are great value for the money. I researched and purchased the Didun Royal One w/ blue face in stainless steel after viewing your videos on that piece and I love the watch. Thanks for bringing such great content to RUclips. More to the subject of this video, I have several Oyster style bracelets. I enjoy them but I've been looking at SUPER ENGINEER BRACELETs as a possible alternative. Have you had any experience with this style of bracelet? Keep up the great work!

    Perhaps compare two actual/genuine Rolex bracelets. Owning both the mew Jubilee bracelet and oyster, both are equally strong and the jubilee feels rock solid unlike the nonRolex you are comparing. I guarantee the new solid link Jubilee is as strong as my DSSD oyster bracelet as the center threaded pins are the same so they have to be. The oyster is just more casual looking. More machining and work goes into the modern jubilee so it will cost more $$$.

      I prefer the jubilee obviously cause I have smaller wrist, so not only it looks more delicate on your wrist, but it also adapts better to your wrist shape, no uncomfortable hotspots. I had the chance to try a oyster bracelet cause my dad has a Rolex diver with oyster bracelet, the jubilee is much more comfortable imo
      I actually don't care for Rolex personally, but I was gifted a Datejust by a person I love so I wear it daily due to sentimental value, mine is the 39mm. Before I was gifted this watch my daily wearer was the Omega Seamaster cosmic 2000 with blue dial, which is still one of my favorite watches.
      The Datejust is the only Rolex I like, and it pairs perfectly with a jubilee bracelet, specially for women

    kind of funny to discuss "Rolex" bracelets with two knockoffs...

    • @gameroftheyear1000
      @gameroftheyear1000 3 года назад +4

      Homages yes. Knockoffs no. While the alpha is more cheaply built, it still has an awesome NH35 movement from seiko in it. The Ginault is a fantastic Swiss made watch that is a certified diver like the Rolex Sub. I should know I own a Sub 16610 and the the Ginault ocean rover. I also have a alpha explorer that I love too. Saying it’s a knockoff is like saying PRS and Suhr guitars are knockoffs of Fender because they all use the strat design and Fender came up with it when it’s been proven those two other brands beat Fender by a long shot or that the Bulova super Seville is a knockoff of a Rolex datejust when also the Bulova is a well built Swiss watch that’s built like a tank like it’s Rolex cousin, you pay for the name at that point. It’s all subjective. I feel more comfortable wearing my Steinhart and Ginault homages than my Sub.
