How lovely. Once I started listening I had to listen until the end. To do otherwise wasn't an option. When you first started talking about peace, I kept thinking about the word bliss, and then you said bliss too. It's interesting how we understand that the fundamental state is beyond words, but language is still so powerful and beautiful. I really enjoy your videos, new to me, and find that you express very well the ineffable! Love from Germany. 🌻
This was very beautiful. I was aware of it even as a child, that background knowledge that everything is alright. I used to imagine what it would feel like to have no memory and no people around to use as a mirror telling you who you were, and having no apparent body - what would remain? Just this aware "space" that's me. It was always very pleasant to imagine this.
contentment .... is here in the now .... the content i am is .... pure beauty-full free of the doom ... goodness i am ... thank you for sharing the goodness
This is beautiful ❤❤ “ The peace that I can’t remember but I know it’s there” . Thank you for making these videos with beautiful background music. And your voice is very soothing. It helps me remain calm in the morning and It helps me falling asleep easily at night . I have many beautiful dreams or sometimes not nice but I know it is dream and I feel peace. Dreams don’t disturb my sleep like it used to. Even I had a long dream but I woke up feeling relax and feel like I had a good night sleep.
Thank you for listening and absorbing this message 🙏. It is amazing how insight into the Self flows into the experience of dreams. I am glad these videos have helped in some way.
Thank you 🙏. Given your profile picture, I'm sure you noticed the influence of Sri Ramana Maharshi here. I now see this Peace as what he was referring to as Jagrat-Sushupti. From Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi, talk 609: "That is the state of the Jnani. It is neither sleep nor waking but intermediate between the two. There is the awareness of the waking state and the stillness of sleep. It is called jagrat-sushupti. Call it wakeful sleep or sleeping wakefulness or sleepless waking or wakeless sleep. It is not the same as sleep or waking separately. It is atijagrat (beyond wakefulness) or atisushupti (beyond sleep). It is the state of perfect awareness and of perfect stillness combined. It lies between sleep and waking; it is also the interval between two successive thoughts. It is the source from which thoughts spring; we see that when we wake up from sleep. In other words thoughts have their origin in the stillness of sleep. The thoughts make all the difference between the stillness of sleep and the turmoil of waking."
Hi! can you share about how the contents of the world of each finite mind...meaning is the world that is projected by myself, perceived by myself, within awareness...all this is a "closed" Loop so to speak. The projections' contents are coming from the "knowledge bank" of consciousness. There is nothing outside of awareness. There truly is no other. I am not sure how to explain this exact lack of clarity that is being experience here. Thanks
The idea of multiple isolated minds is just the idea of individual selves under a different guise. There are no finite minds. There are streams of interconnected experiences. And every experience is the result of some movement. These movements are what is being described by physics. Each movement is local and limited, and so every experience is local and limited. Take a wide enough stream, and consider it only in regards to the local experiences, and it may seem to prove a local and limited self. But turning away from the local experiences, towards the sense that "I Am", in contrast to the movements, there is a Stillness. That is the Self! You are not a sentient thing. You are Sentience itself! And Sentience is clearly nonlocal, timeless. Fundamental and more real than anything that can be proven by observation.
Hello this is beautiful. The finite mind is a concept , idea...I see that now. Experience is result of movement as a "whole" ...where do the streams comes from? consciousness I assume... Do you mean streams... vrittis? So the vrittis happen and experience is "manifest"?. Nabeel, so the entirety of experience that arises comes from within. turning away from the movement toward self ... I understand this...the glitch that the mind keeps having is this: how is the appearing of the world reconciled as only consciousness...that would mean that the loved ones that appear, the animals, everything, is not any of that but only a movements (that then are given a name and form and function) in consciousness. this intellectually is somewhat understood. In an example, could you explain how the experience of your "wife and child" is seen and how they appear? Thanks
The flow of experience itself is vritti; the stream. To understand why there is a stream, trace it back to its source. It appeared with the knowledge of being; the sense that "I Am". That is how the stream sprouts. With the arrival of the knowledge "I Am". Thus, the stream is made entirely of knowledge/ knowing. And the Knower is pure Consciousness. So, where is the split? Does the world have any substance to it apart from Consciousness? There is a stream of perceptions. In this stream, there is a man with a wife and child. Here, this man is the protagonist. In another stream, the wife is the protagonist, in another the child. Each stream is known most intimately. And, in the stream where this is known, it becomes clear that All is the Self and the Self is All.
Hello, Thank you. This explanation is illuminating. The vritti is the flow of experience appearing with the I am sense. The stream is a beautiful way to describe it and removed the thought that there is a finite mind idea. All is the "script" of consciousness , the vritti is the "script". All is self and self is all...this is clear, as clear as it is today. It would help if you could explain the vritti...as in, as these streams arise and play out as experience and are witnessed... all just appearing in awareness...and if I see a "wife" or "child" or "tree", etc, Then I do not see directly. If the seeing is known as consciousness appearing as the wife child etc...that is more true but not really the truth. The question is this... thoughts arise, the world appears, witness watches the "show" ...when one goes to a movie the movie is already written and it just plays out...is this what is happening for consciousness? Is every action and thought and appearance already there and just playing out. The person-ness asking this questions is experiencing a sense of stupidity and this conditioned response when something is not known is to feel stupid and should not ask questions, and that this person is a bother. Thank you for your kindness.
Have you read about how Ramana Maharshi met his mother later in life? His mother remained 'mother' to him in a way. There is a saying in Zen, “In the beginning, mountains are mountains and rivers are rivers; later on, mountains are not mountains and rivers are not rivers; and still later, mountains are mountains and rivers are rivers.” The only difference is that in the beginning the mountains and rivers were something wholly solid and external, and at the end they are wholly empty of substance and inseparable from this intrinsic Awareness. There remain mountains and rivers, but at the same time it is seen that there is no external world and no separate selves! > Is every action and thought and appearance already there and just playing out. I don't see a script writer, so I don't see there being a script! It is all quite spontaneous. Most primordial and causeless is Awareness. Within Awareness the sense that "I am" can arise. Only after this can space and time appear. This is what happens in dreams, waking up, at birth, and because the universe exists in spacetime, this is how this universe began as well. Spacetime cannot appear in any other medium other than Awareness. So, this life is a dream within a bigger dream (the universe). Dreams follow their rules and play out accordingly. Every character that you come across in this dream is being experienced, so it doesn't change anything in terms of this character's relationships, kindness, compassion, and love. Just look clearly at who is dreaming and it will take you all the way back to what is real.
Beautiful, thank you
Thank you for your work. Beautiful contents
So profound, and at the same time simple. The Essence.
