    Amy, this is beautiful, and I love your flower videos. I get the feeling that with some of the flowers, the trick to get petals to stand up without drooping over is to have the right consistency of buttercream. Have you ever posted a video of how you make your buttercream? Thanks. 🙂

      So glad you are enjoying our videos, and thanks for the question. While having a buttercream that is stable enough to work with is important the structure is important too. You'll notice that we build up the center in the middle first so that the petals we put on are almost completely supported. Temperature is important too, if your environment is too warm it will be hard to work with and might end up slumping or drooping which can be frustrating. We use an American style buttercream since it's easy to make, color and use for beginners but if you need to go with a frosting that has a bit more stability you should be able to use and Italian or Swiss for these and really any of the flowers in our flower series. Our specific recipe for American style bc is something that we save for our members of our school. you can always check out what membership includes on our site. Cheers!

      @CakeDecoratingSchool Okay, thank you. I like Italian meringue buttercream because it's stable. I'll keep trying, and might eventually become a member. ☺️

      I put a link in the description for the spatulas for you. They are from amazon. I also put a link for the bowls we are using in our newer videos, the white ones with the handles. I could;dn't find the listing for the pastel ones the last time I checked for them, I got them on amazon as well. hope this helps and thanks for checking out our storefront!

      @CakeDecoratingSchool  2 года назад +2

      Hi! thanks for asking. We are using a simple buttercream, you can find a lot of them online and you could use a Swiss or Italian meringue as well, and you can use any cake you love. if you are interested in our frosting recipe you can check out our online school cakedecoratinrgschool.com, it's included in our yearly membership for out students.
