I have #909 which is kinda special as our oldest son was born on 09/09/2009. The bike and my family live in Germany. It's sometimes is a pain in the butt to ride here when the police have their checkpoints in the summer. No way can you have a fender eliminator (illegal), no way can you have bar end mirrors (illegal). When they pull you into one of the checkpoints they check everything ie angle of your mirrors, angle of your license plate, your helmet, leathers, gloves, visor, etc. They check the decibel readings. They will keep you there until they find something wrong with you or your bike and most times they will find something. I was in Berlin putting enough KM on my bike so i could get my first service and put on the racing exhaust. I was sitting at a red light (at a huge intersection) when they walked up to me from the front, across the huge intersection, probably 40-50 yards away. He told my license plate a few millimetres off! What, from way over there? I also hadn't changed my US DL to a German DL within 6 month requirement. That was the big one where they could have impounded the bike until I had a DL. Since I am a retired cop, he said "I think we have a language problem, so you promise you will get a German DL as soon as you get home?" "Yes sir, first thing when I get back to Leipzig!" There was no language problem in English or German. So far, all the cops I have met here are super cool, but they are sticklers for rules and regulations, actually all Germans are, especially my wife!
not sure if you can answer this question since you bought this done up but do the carbon frame covers help with felt heat? For me my legs get extremely hot, partially the the left, when not on the highway.
I think they make a small difference. It's mainly for aesthetics. I will say the V4 is nothing like the 1299 when it comes to heat. It's part of the reason I upgraded to the V4. Cheers!
That's my top dream bike too... just that ill may be get it in 15 years ahead hahaha... BTW, did you said MarcheNISI here 4:45? XD, you must to be excited and i hope you have enjoyed it a lot before the quarantine !!!, thanks for this video Master! and greetings from Colombia!
@@TheDucatiPilot Hahaha, i was just kidding about it, but in fact i was absolutely focused in the info you was giving us, and you got me so caught that even when i don't know so much about your language, i did catch that little thing about that rim's italian brand. I'm in love with your bike and i hope you can enjoy it powerfully!!! See you in your next video, bye bye
I'm back here my friend with a dilemma... I have the 1299s and thinking about swapping it for the V4 speciale. What's the main difference between the bikes and are you still happy with your choice? Thanks man
Congrats.good to see someone happy bout something.i wouldn't trade my klr for for it tho..I mean if I couldn't just sell the spaghetti monster for cash and buy another bike.have fun.:)

Stunning....can’t wait to pick up a v4 myself...love the Speciale livery
Part of the reason I chose the Speciale over the V4S was the livery...and the fact there is only 1500 in the World ;)
Congrats!!
Thanks so much!!
Well I was wrong with my guess...but I'm glad i was, AMAZING! CONGRATULATIONS
Thank you very much!! ☺️
Stunning bike

$34,500 + tax and shipping. Around 1800 miles if I remember correctly.

Now go and get clear clutch cover for extra bling
I'm actually debating this. The OEM clutch cover matches the gold Magnesium wheels I'm looking at! ;)
