Damn... that's a great car! That's why I like Opel/Vauxhall! It may be not the best, but certainly if you are not billionaire it gives you the best value for your money. And their performance models have always been AWESOME cars!
I have the same car automatic, had it for almost 11 years and I’m still not bored to drive it, lovely sedan.
i have to say that i think the Insignia is very underrated

My 2011 vxr 2.8 v6 manual with self adjusting headlights in pure white, no m3 can keep up with the good vxr insignia. My car its like taking it for a drive for the 1st time & i am still having the same fun since day 1. Nice comfortable experience drive.
I prefer my 6 speed manual than an automatic more fun & games.
As much as i like my vxr a modern m3 will more than likely leave it standing !

Did Vauxhall take the limiter off for you ? Does it top 170 mph ?
REPENT BELIEVE no the ones with the Blue Callipers came from the factory unrestricted, not sure what the top end was though, thanks glad you liked the video
REPENT BELIEVE was a factory option, limited to 170 mph, blue calibers and unlimited sign in the rev counter.

i have a 2016, 2.0 turbo 250bhp vx line sri, looking to trade it in for a 2016 vxr super sport
That opel was pretty cool they went downhill now engine wise no more V6s.
do you ever have problems with the 4x4 because i have read some collumes and a lot of drivers of the insignias has to change their haldex system with a new one. Sorry for the my bad english.
+Leo N. I personally have never had any problems with them however there does seem to be evidence reported on internet forums that some do have problems
I have always loved Vauxhall Insignias they are very nice cars. I heard there's good reviews about them.
They are lovely cars but the truth is they are unreliable with too many catastrophic gearbox and engine failures.
Maybe on some models, but the 2.8 l v6 is bulletproof. Never known one or heard of one blowing up. Providing you stick to the service & get the drive chains changed if your unlucky that is, then these engines go forever. Down side, they are very thirsty.
love my 2.0 diesel but just not massively reliable
@@bighats7465 Oil pick up seal went on mine and the engine seized🙄
@@BestUserNameUK constant cooling issues I had and also dpf blocked regularly making the car go into limp mode
It's a difference from Audis, or BMW's it should be in the same line as the 335i/340i

What was the gearbox like? I'm looking to buy a 2.0 petrol turbo with an auto and can't really find anything reviews wise

I’ve just bought an incredibly rare Sri turbo vx line, manual, stage 1, 275 bhp, 331 ibft, beautiful car, put her in sport mode and she’ll do 0-60 in less than 6 seconds and 160 mph flat out.👍
Whats the paddle shifts like? Does it change gear fast?

I like the siggy vxr... currently have a stage 1 mapped (blah blah) vectra vxr and the siggy looks bloody slow by comparison !

I wonder how sharp this Car is.. Have you ever driven a BMW M5 F10 for example ? Or an BMW M4? I drove one once .. I would Like to know how close the VXR Insignia comes to these Cars in terms of Handling ..direct Steering and Flat cornering . ?
its an awesome car for the money, lots of power, great handling, however it isnt up to M5 or M3 standard as you would expect and i have never driven an M4 so cant say, but its a lot lot cheaper than the BM's and a whole lot of fun
Yes surely it isnt on that Level in many things . But I had the Feeling that the direct Steering and Flatcornering Feel could be on M3 E92 Level in VXR Mode .
It looks like my insignia 2009 still running aswell
good cars if they are looked after and serviced, they will last a long long time

the insignia feels bumpy
well this one has sports suspension and to be honest with all that power, it needs it so it is a little harder than you would expect
But also I love all vauxall

I think this car with a manual transmission is much much better
i really like the auto, and you can use it in paddle shift mode which is even better, why buy a car these days where you need to keep taking your hands off the steering wheel?
Barrie Crampton flappy paddles all day 👍 best driving experience I’ve ever had using them. I’m looking at the new Insignia VXR, or the FK2 Honda Civic Type R 😫 both incredible cars and look beautiful.
