So glad you’re still enjoying making these videos, because we are certainly enjoying watching them! Just wait till the next sing off, number 12 is phenomenal.
It's amazing to remember that the trio, Kevin, and Avi never met in person until they all arrived for the contest. (Scott, Mitch, and Kirsten had auditioned as a trio and the show told them "get a bass and beat box and come back".) When we were watching the show, we were watching Kevin and Avi turn into Kevin-and-Avi in real time.
The other three groups’ arrangements were very block-y, with chunks of their two songs laid next to each other, not woven together to make a story like PTX does here. I do hear Kirstin’s flat notes at that one point, which is the only section I wince at.
PTX has always been fantastic at blending things seamlessly, one of their biggest strengths and it's why some of their biggest videos early on were Evolution of Music and Daft Punk Medley
Just binged most of your videos. I like your personality. It's cool to see someone reacting the same way I did first hearing these groups. Since you love country, check out Home Free singing "Elvira" with the Oak Ridge Boys... you'll like it.
Hey, I just found your channel and binged a lot of your videos. It made me feel like when I found out Pentatonix was a thing, made me enjoy it like the first time. I hope you and everyone you love are doing well, and that you eventually post again when you can. You made my day.
Love your reactions - I'm sooooo glad you are back to finish this up. I love Avi's part in this, and it is incredible how Mitch goes back and forth harmonizing one line with Scott and then with Kirstie and back with Scott. That is so complex, and he is flawless here. Also, I think this is the first song where I feel that the Trio began to really trust Avi and Kevin to provide the base of the song for them to build on. Early on, Ben kept mentioning them being ahead of the beat, and from here on out, and in all their following music, I never sensed that again. Looking forward to your reaction to the last three performances.
Kyle - stay safe and do what you gotta do; we all understand. Still, glad you're back. I've hit that awful spot when you've been binge watching something and you finally catch up, only to discover you now have to wait for the next installment. Can't wait for you to finish up your PTX Sing Off reactions with performance 12! :)
Glad to have you back. Look forward to the next Sing Off performance ... the crown jewel, so to speak. PTX has about a half-dozen "behind the scenes" clips of songs they've done since. The one for Bohemian Rhapsody is great.
Just found your channel and have been binge watching all evening. So much fun seeing you go from not knowing if you will like A Capella to being one of us (Pentaholic). Love your insights.
I enjoy hearing your reactions and see you haven't posted in 2 months I know you shared before about your dad's health. I hope you are both okay. Stay safe.
I did see your video about why you've been gone but I saw it on a form of media that didn't allow me to comment. I'm really really glad to see your face! This performance isn't perhaps the best sounding performance they've done, at least not for me because I think it was too low for Kirstin at that point in her vocal journey. It was a stretch for her range at the time, and I feel bad for saying it but I cringe every time I listen to this one when she's singing, and that's not typical for me at all! I love Kristin's voice. But she was not solid in the lower end of her range until around the time she did Broadway . she has worked on that and sounds AMAZING in her lower register now! Broadway did something to her confidence that made her want to work on things that perhaps before she thought were simply Beyond her ability to master. Well she mastered it! "Shallow" is an excellent representation of that as well as "Where Are You Christmas?" What I do like about this number though and why I think it's an important number in their Sing-Off performances is because it shows how good they are at mashing up songs. It's something that Pentatonix continued to do throughout their entire career and they have had some amazing songs because of their ability to hear something in two songs that they recognize and intuitively understand how to create one song out of two. It's a defining thing about this group as well as the fact that sounds like there's instruments playing with them when it's really a vocal . I find their skill at mashups and some of the things they've come up with to be really exciting and something I look forward to hearing ! Some of their best singles are total mashups and if you hadn't heard the originals you wouldn't even realize it was two songs put together. You still need to hear "La La Latch '! On tour they matched up to Originals and that was exciting because they brought back a fan-favorite original "Natural Disaster" and mashed it with one of our favorites from a more recent album, "Cracked". But they only perform it live. And neither song was released for an official video which is really sad because they're both amazing! But yes I am so glad you're back on The Sing-Off! I was really upset because I thought I missed the last two and I didn't! The next is the best! I can't wait to see what you think of it! Thank you so much for the reaction, it helps to be able to share something pleasant and familiar and get my mind off of all the change an oddness we are going through right now
It's so great to watch you watching these sing-off videos. Can't wait for your reaction to the 12th performance. And remember to watch that video all the way to the end because they show a nice post-performance interview piece you have to watch.
Hey man, I love your reactions. Your reactions are the only ones I like watching on a daily basis. For your next reaction I suggest Standing By by Pentatonix. It's one of the more heartfelt of their songs and my personal favorite. Avi takes the lead for the whole song while the others handle the rest. It also features some of Scott's amazing bass skills.
OH NO!!! I found your channel yesterday and now I've caught up and will need to wait. I have really enjoyed your videos. Thanks for being true and honest to yourself and not to want you think we want. Keep having fun. lookinf forward to the next upload
Great 'Reaction' your critique was so close to what the judges had to say. Not one of my favs but how can you not appreciate Avi and Kevin they are so amazingly talented. When you get to the end remember that they come back the next year for a special performance....please give us your 'reaction' to that...Thanks
I’ve literally watched all of your reaction videos in 2 days ❤️ please keep it up! I know that we’re all struggling through covid19 storm. But your videos help me feel like I’m not the only person who reacts this way to this amazing kind of music
Since you're on an acapella group kick, I highly recommend watching Street Corner Symphony s run on the sing off or at least their cover of 'say something'. It's my all time favourite! Then you can see where Adam came from before he joined Home Free. 😀
So good to see you back, Kyle! Glad you enjoyed this performance. The next one is my favorite performance of theirs during their entire Sing Off run, I really am looking forward to seeing your reaction to that one. You can also really start to tell that by this point, PTX's fan base had started to grow (no real surprise their after their previous Marvin Gaye cover!). Highly recommend watching their post-performance interview too in the next one, I think it REALLY establishes how tight-knit they'd become as a group. I still get a little emotional when I watch it!
I just binged your channel yesterday and all I can say is Sound of Silence. You are in for a treat one of their best hands down. Love the channel though great job.
Hello...just watched a bunch of your reactions tonight and enjoyed them as well as subscribed. I saw your very first one where you said you were going to react only to songs you haven't heard which is how it should be. If you ever want a change of pace from PTX I have a singer that you probably have overlooked. I only discovered her 2 months ago when I watched RUclips about the "Trinity" in regards to singers as in Mariah, Whitney and Celine. The comments went hot over this singer named Lara Fabian so I just had to find out just who she was! She's often compared to Celine Dion....there are some similarities but the differences way outway those! She speaks like 5 languages and sings in 10 languages as well as write alot of her stuff and takes covers and totally makes them her own. You have to react only to her live performances only because she is one of those artists that is so impactful live! Whether she's singing in English, French or Italian, even if you don't understand what she is saying, you feel it! She doesn't just sing, she performs it, allows her to become engulfed in her songs. People are also rediscovering her again because of this famous young singer named Dimash who totally idolized her...he has made people pay attention to Lara...hard to pick what song to listen to first but heres a good start....ruclips.net/video/jKtNuLG5jAo/видео.html ....she starts almost all of her songs soft then builds up to an epic mind blowing ending!
Great reactions! Definitely want to see you react to ALL the Pentatonix videos. Would love to see your reaction to Walk of the Earth.... Old Town Road. Crazy talented and crazy fun.
A couple songs post- Avi that I think you'll really like are "Havana"and "Come Along"... Also, they've got a Christmas song that features Matt as lead.. I'd LOVE to see your reaction to their Mr Grinch song!! Stay safe and healthy 💞

honestly Kyle. i have waited. for so long. and finally, your next upload of the Pentatonix Singoff series. the next episode in my opinion is the best performance they did on the sing off. i can't wait for your reaction. i won't spoil anything, but just know that Scott was sick and lost his voice during this 12th performance. jut keep that in mind when you watch it. love you and your videos! keep up the good work! p.s. if you see this comment, i would love it if you watched the Pentatonix video called "The Wizard of Ahhhs by Todrick Hall ft. Pentatonix" it is a fantastic piece of work from their early days.
Hi Kyle. Hope you and Loki are fine. Hope your dad is well. Since your last upload (11th performance), so many things have happened, and still happening. I hope you and your family are safe during these troubling times And yes, can hardly wait for the "historic" 12th performance. Take care and stay safe always! 💙🇵🇭
If you love the arranging behind scenes stuff, look up Pentatonic arranging compilations on here. There are some which are amazing to see how they put it all together.
You do a great job. I really enjoy your reactions. You should take a look at their video of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies (no words)l They wond a grammy for it, I believe. They killed it.
You can't really tell in the videos fallowing them as they prepared for a performance how much was real and how much was for the camera. But did Kirstie *really* sing an extra line when they were rehearsing, or did she just volunteer to be the goat in this one? We can't tell, because they never actually show her singing an extra line. As for their worries about how much they changed these songs, some of that is doubtlessly legitimate, but listen to Kevin talking about it. He's saying the words he was supposed to say, but his tone of voice is saying something totally different. It's saying "We're going to blow them away with this one. I am going to have so much fun this week!"
So glad i found you. Your reactions are great. Cant wait to see the next one. Hope you stay safe and well. Youre dad too? (Did i remember that right from the last video?)
Great to see you back pard and with a hair cut too boot. We are still in this closedown so I'm getting a bit shaggy. I would seriously recommend La La Latch after you finish the Sing Off. It's another mashup the is well done.
Are you moving? Your house looks emptier than before. Missing that Illidan statue! Also, patiently waiting for the Q&A you planned! As always, I enjoy your videos and hope you are well!
Scott said in the clip that this was the most important performance of the season and Kevin said that this was the last chance to show America etc. This is because all the performances including the next one were taped, and in the weeks prior to this one, the judges decided who got eliminated. For this last week, which included this performance (11th) and the next (12th), the audience at home would vote for the winner of the season. The finale on the week after that was live, where they performed two songs and the winner was announced.
PTX are so much better now than they were on the show. I remember being impressed by them back then, but their level of performance is nothing like what we see now
If you’re interested in watching them arrange, check out this episode from their 2014 tour documentary series PTXperience: ruclips.net/video/DHAC95bWnig/видео.html Starting at the 3:22 mark, they are putting together their cover of “Happy.”
Note to correct what I imagine is a typo. The Sing Off Season 3 was in 2011. Just think, the middle of May will be the 10th anniversary of their first rehearsal, which was the day before their audition.
I hope you will do some more reaction videos soon. Love them. I have some suggestions ;) HomeFree: "Flowers on the Wall", "Mayday" or "Hillbilly Bone" Some sick Beatboxing by Adam Rupp from HomeFree (just him): HomeFrees Adam Rupp Beatboxing Solo ruclips.net/video/bWsbD7vcwh4/видео.html Pentatonix: Sound of Silence I also suggest Voice Play, another acapella band: "Moana Medley", "bridge over troubled water" or "Queen in 5 Minutes" Greetings from Austria :) Greetings from Austria :)
I have a band suggestion! You should check out Steam Powered Giraffe, their music is much different than pentatonix and home free but it's really cool and amazing to watch.
It is the Memorial Day of 2020. Should I go for super short heart cut like Kyle Kholin? Or go for Head Blade and let my 2 foot beard keep going? Decisions, decisions. I love you Kyle Kholin. You super sexy without the hat. Love you brother. Peace.

Kyle, you look 10 years younger with your short hair and beard. awesome bro. keep up the good work with Pentatonix.

No worries man! As long as you're good we can wait as long as you need. ❤
This is one of my all time favorites from Pentatonix

For this last week, which included this performance (11th) and the next (12th), the audience at home would vote for the winner of the season. The finale on the week after that was live, where they performed two songs and the winner was announced.
Keep up the good work! I’m enjoying your videos
Just wait until performance 12. It's amazing.
Patiently waiting for a reaction to episode 12... for months now... one day it'll happen 😂
Same here..so this 1st day of June, I will drop a comment 😊
@@bethvargas8841 maybe June will be the month it happens! Lol
PTX are so much better now than they were on the show. I remember being impressed by them back then, but their level of performance is nothing like what we see now
Been loving your vids can’t wait for more
The judges choice next is my favourite of the sing off
Cant wait for the next one! One of the best
Glad to see you back! How's Loki? :)
Well its been 3 months now... I hope hes doing well♥️
One top bass performance out there is Voice play’s oogie boogie song. You will not regret it.
If you’re interested in watching them arrange, check out this episode from their 2014 tour documentary series PTXperience: ruclips.net/video/DHAC95bWnig/видео.html Starting at the 3:22 mark, they are putting together their cover of “Happy.”
Hope you're doing well Kyle! Whenever you're ready to come back to RUclips there's a whole new PTX EP for you to check out!
I enjoy your PTX reactions. You like Kirstin try her Disney Love Songs Medley with "Voctave " and oh yes, use head phones ....
Nice to see you back
Good to see you back 👍🏻
when PTX did in the sing off in 2017 the trio Scott Kirstin and Mitch were 19 yo Avi was 20 and Kevin was 21
Note to correct what I imagine is a typo. The Sing Off Season 3 was in 2011. Just think, the middle of May will be the 10th anniversary of their first rehearsal, which was the day before their audition.
Return of the King
I hope you will do some more reaction videos soon. Love them.
I have some suggestions ;)
HomeFree: "Flowers on the Wall", "Mayday" or "Hillbilly Bone"
Some sick Beatboxing by Adam Rupp from HomeFree (just him): HomeFrees Adam Rupp Beatboxing Solo ruclips.net/video/bWsbD7vcwh4/видео.html
Pentatonix: Sound of Silence
I also suggest Voice Play, another acapella band: "Moana Medley", "bridge over troubled water" or "Queen in 5 Minutes"
Greetings from Austria :)
Greetings from Austria :)
Hi Kyle I’m just hoping you are ok!
Their next performance is incredible!! May I also suggest you watch Quarantine by Home Free; it is absolutely hysterical!
The shave and haircut look great.
Miss you so much
Another one to look at Sound of Silence - Peter Hollens feat Tim Foust
You should check out their original song “can’t sleep love”; I think it was one of their very first originals they released :)
Hope you are well. Been missing ya, but come back only when you are ready.
LOL... so many people already telling you to buckle up for the next song. Hope you will get there within a month ;-)
I don't think Ben actually thought they were out of tune, it was just way to transition to the " 2nd chorus of which song joke."
😁
Need to do Sound of Silence! Insane
This Is them after only like 5 to 6 weeks (counting the audition type) of being a group.
My fave fave FAVORITE Pentatonix song is Raidioactive. You should check that one out.
Bro where you been at? It's been 2 months since a new video has come out. I hope you're doing all right.
Peace.
