- Connor Zilisch has won in nearly every car and series he has raced in during 2024. At Watkins Glen he swept the weekend in the ARCA Menards Series and his debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series driving for JR Motorsports. Connor has a full-time Xfinity Series drive with Dale Jr in 2025 but is that just the first step towards history?
The youngest Cup Series winner is Joey Logano at 19 years, 35 days in 2009 and the youngest Cup Series Champion in the modern era is Jeff Gordon. He was 24 years old for his first Cup Series title in 1994.
Can Connor Zilisch eclipse those records in the years to come?

They did not even mention Connor's karting results. At 11 years old, he won a WKA title in the US, and the prize was to go race in Europe in the Jr. World Championships. Kart racing in Europe is a whole different league from the US. Connor goes over...cold...does not know the tracks....does not speak the language...and WINS. From 12-14 he was basically a factory driver racing karts in Europe on a factory team on their nickel, during his summer vacation from school. In 2020 he won the FIA Karting Academy Trophy. It is a 3 race series...and he won Race 1. Then Race 2.....basically clinching the title before even Race 3. No one has ever done that. His talent is on a different level.... F1 World Championship level talent....
Impressive impressive stuff
WE WILL STILL HAVE TO WAIT TO RUN THE OVALS AND WIN TO BE BETTER THAN GORDON BUT THINGS CHANGE DAILY IN RACING …! WE WILL SEE…❤
I'll go with no. Racing history is littered with kids that were the next Gordon, Earnhardt or Petty and they flame out. Hell, the way Joey Logano was hyped, he should have 12 championships by now. This is one way that racing is like the stick-and-ball sports...people want to tag these kids (yes, kids) as legends years before it's even worth having the discussion.
Hold on now hold on that's talking a lot of smack in that thumbnail calm down let's not get the carriage ahead of the horse here we all have our Shane Van gisbergen moment that doesn't mean that he's as good as Jeff Gordon
lol yea, many have good starts but fizzle out. Just like Larson has the skill, but fizzled. You forget, with new format, many records cant be broke anymore. Why they quit stating the records on race day
Some people should be quiet about NASCAR drivers outsiders who race road races are not oval drivers put him on an oval he will crack
If he finds the perfect ride, then yes
He’s a Trackhouse prospect. If he takes over for Suarez eventually is that a good ride?
@@OfficialSpeedFreaks Its not top tier but its good enough to win. Him and shane will be dominating the roadcourses, not sure how competitive he will be on the ovals.
@@OfficialSpeedFreaksno. Not good enough to fulfill the claims you are making
You guys are a joke
