I think this new Mustang is a "sports car" as much as it should be a muscle car. I would choose this motor, too. I would think the car is also lighter w/better wgt. distribution. I had the 1st Mustang "turbo" back in 79." Now that was a piece of crap! Your friend made a great choice.
Totally agree! I have a base ecoboost with 101A package, bone stock. It’s a lot more fun to drive than my 2014 V6, and the mileage is 3-4 mpg better. Potential for more performance with minor mods (CAI, tune, more free flowing exhaust) is much more than V6 as well. Handles almost as good as my V6, but I had to swap springs, shocks and sway bars, and panhard bar to get similar feel to the 2018 stock. The only mod I’ve made so far is the strut tower brace, and it really tightened up the front end nicely.
I have a white mustang ecoboost 2017 model in uk, great car handles well and quick too, some people say after 5000rpm the power drops but my one throws you hard back in seats after 5000rpm, great car and great review 👍👍👍
Buy a Manual =Automatic Respect ...See I was going to pull the manual trans from the 05 saab with the sat nav I was talking to you about on Instagram but I only had 1hour till the junkyard closed :( I really wanted a 6sp manual saab
Saabrito I am also looking into a 6 speed manual saab Aero 2.0T but can't find them as they are rare but I just found an automatic one in a great condition with all the extra available options you could get and low mileage but to my bad luck it's an auto and I was thinking of getting it and swapping it with a 6 speed manual but I'm thinking if it's worth doing such a modification because it might cost a lot
I just bought a 2017 mustang ecoboost premium yesterday. I bought it used and its an automatic. I really wanted a manual but my transmision in my focus hatch. I needed a reasonable used car right away and I had a lot of negative equity. My initial impressions are very good. Great power and the premium trim is fully loaded. Videos coming soon!
Like the Mustang review. I was thinking about getting a Mustang about a year ago but living in Minnesota it would be a car that I could drive for only half a year being that it is rear wheel drive and that platform sucks in the winter. I bought a SHO instead and I think it was a good trade off. All wheel drive is great for the winter and it still has more horsepower (365) than the turbo Mustang (300). I think you make your channel more appealing with random make car reviews. I still like the reviews you do for the Miata and the Saab as you are passionate about those two cars and it shows. Keep up the good work.
Good compromise, looks like you're happy with it too! I like to include other content as well, since it appeals to a broader audience like you said :) Thanks for the support!
nice car and who needs more than 300HP was the power of muscle cars not all that long ago, however too big for the roads here in the South of France where the narrow twisty alpine roads go all the way down to the sea
Wow what are the odds?! I just picked up a '17 EB Prem Vert a few weeks ago, and took it up the same exact road today (South Mountain). Don't even know how I landed on this vid. My first Stang was a brand new '99 V6, second was a '05 GT w Vortech Supercharger, and now this one. All different characteristics obviously. This '17 definitely has the best handling out of all of them, so it has that better weight distrib going for it for sure. I took the Auto because I got this specific car for a daily driver that my wife could also use on occasion. The other two before that were manuals. Definitely miss stick shift. But I drive a manual 10 speed 18 wheeler nowadays so there's that lol. For an I4 turbo, the kick is decent. Enough to get in trouble I guess. But the HANDLING. Definitely impressed with that, going up SoMo. With a CAI, IC, tune and exhaust I think she'll make a great daily driver. I cringe thinking about tuners wanting to make this Stang more than what it should be though... if you want an absolute savage on the road, you HAVE to start with the GT platform. Otherwise you're just asking for that engine to spill its guts.
Hey there yeah the ecoboost is good on gas!!! Compared to my 16 GT. Since I traded my abarth I daily drive my GT and I'm getting 19.5 mpg mostly highway driving 80mph. My new 18 SS camaro is getting 18.9 mpg driving to the same way. Having a 16 GT & a 18 SS the SS is a better driving car. Nevertheless the ecoboost has a carbon problem with higher mileage. All models are FUN no matter which trim you go with lol.
Yep, he should have gotten a V8 hahaha... but what's interesting is that this 4cyl has same power as my '94 5.0 and yes, only way to go with a 4banger mustang is the manual trany. What else is interesting that for 2018 Ford finally made the 'Stang a decent car (reliability wise) because of the new GDI direct injection, HOWEVER I don't know if the new GDI is avail on the 4cyl 'Stang. Does anyone know?
I owned Mustangs since I was in high school and that was early 90s, even in the rain they were dangerous cars to drive and some of my peeps got really hurt in wracks in those things, and the other big issue was reliability, 'stangs were notorious for having all sorts of issues. BUT after all these years I can honestly say that I want another Mustang, even the 2018 ecoboosts seems very solid. I think Scotty sums it up best: ruclips.net/video/g-c0YPpZYI4/видео.html

True, some of these corners were a bit tight!
How much does the reonater delete cost you?
I'm not sure; if you go to JP's channel (the link for it is in the bio of this video) and comment, he'll be able to tell you!

Haha, that's funny! Glad you are liking the car
I went down the turn to my work place at like 45-50 once. Never again. Oversteered into the turn.
If you take a sharp turn at triple the speed you're supposed to, 99.9% of cars will have some sort of trouble handling it.
What’s all the red and white antenna towers for?
Louis James it's south mountain Phoenix Arizona
Mike J Autos and stuff but what are they? Telephone? Tv networks?
Interesting view. Thanks

Very interesting, having owned both! Thanks for sharing
You should find someone with a 3000gt vr4 and do a review on it!
Good idea!
I was hoping to hear more low points about this car.
Interior would be one, specifically the infotainment screen. Very small without the upgraded package! Kinda missed on mentioning that, sorry!
Its great interior if you get the premium
Sup Auto, smokin' vid (as always). Is JP single? If so, what's his type? Asking for a friend.
