We'll see whats to come, my S23 Ultra is servicing me very well from Note 9 which was legendary ( RIP security patches). For now Apple isnt offering trade-in for the current gen Galaxy phones so we'll see for 'iphone 15s Pro Max'. Generally curious since most of my family is on iPhone and I escaped like 10 years ago because of Androids flexibility. Now with USB-C its alot closer..the years of green bubble bicker
I have an s22 ultra and was actually going to get the iPhone 15 pro Max. I went in the Verizon site and a pop-up said there are discounts for Apple products. I told the agent I am interested in the iPhone and possibly the s23 ultra. There was no discounts at all for the iPhone but he told me that I can get the S23 ultra for no cost. I got $800 for my s22 ultra and he applied other discounts and lowered my monthly bill. No hard choice, either pay monthly for a phone or get a phone at no cost. Excited to get the s23 ultra delivered to me in about 2-3 days.
Well then definitely go for the iPhone 15 pro (even max if you want)!!! If most of your family members use iPhones then all the more reasons sense because the features and the things you can do with an iPhone-to-iPhone is magical
A Camera doesn’t make a Phone and how exactly is Samsung Camera miles ahead? Every Camera comparison made between the 2 put them pretty much neck and neck. Day shots are dependable in light and scenery while at Night the iPhone has better low light pictures.
@@powerhouse884 This video showed something in favour to the Samsung when it comes to both night photos and videos, plus the zoom sharpness. In terms of what makes a phone, is up to the user
@@Fran_DXB Apple has literally a better sensor for Night mode, this is not up for debate. I have watched 2 previous reviews showing MANY pictures and recordings side by side and the iPhone has better low light image. Samsung uses Super sampling for their Zoom, its unusable at low light and pretty much a gimmick. Stretching an image to 100x makes a substantial degradation. The 200mp Camera can’t be use for shutter shots or bohke. It takes too long for the CPU to process 1 single image. Samsung loves to pump their numbers on paper for marketing but their hardware cant keep up properly. Yes the pictures look vibrant and colorful if you enjoy the over saturation… but thats user preference. They do have great displays. A phone is more than a pretty picture.
I just got the S23 Ultra because I use the pen pretty much every day. If you don't care about the pen then the other S23 models should be more than fine
I have the s23 Ultra and for its size it's remarkably comfortable. It surprised me as its huge! I love it, amazing phone completely trumps my friends iPhones.
Since purchasing the Z Fold 5, there's no way that I'm going back to candy bar phones... I am thoroughly pleased with my choice phone for media consumption. No matter which Samsung device one chooses, they're guaranteed to get the optimization they've come to expect.

Just a FYI, the strobing from the gig footage around 14:22 *really* needs a warning considering how dangerous that can be for those with photosensitive epilepsy. (I am fortunate enough to not be one of them but do have sensory processing issues from being autistic and find strobes very overwhelming - I was briefly disorientated with that footage and I was only watching in portrait on the S20 FE 5G I'm potentially swapping out for the S23 Ultra, full-screen I'd have been far worse.) I would suggest future strobing content to be split out into its own segment for ease of skipping. Appreciate the content though, just noting that there are people out there who currently can't!
I have both; currently shut down and set aside the S23 Ultra to rock the 15 Pro Max. So far so good, no overheating, I’ve throw it around in the gym (with a case) and it’s held up. I’m enjoying it so far paired with an Apple Watch Ultra. I think before the S24U, I’ll fire up the S23U to get accustomed to it again.
@@amex4453 I definitely would. For me it’s great for going to the gym. I can leave my phone in the bag in a locker and just use the AWU. I haven’t tried it yet but I think the experience is so good that you can leave your phone at home if you want to travel light and totally rock the AWU by itself. But together definitely a solid choice. Unless you want the latest and greatest, the first AWU would suit 99% of users just fine. Hope that helped. Lemme now if you have any more questions!
Hey ! with the Samsung ecosystem, for your passwords saved with Touch ID, did you have to rewrite all your passwords on Samsung ? Is it easy to switch with the Samsung ecosystem ? Because I hesitate to switch to s23 ultra
@@Cut0rgansXD hi, so what I did was installed One password and transfered all my important passwords and info in there, apparently it's impossible to hack 1password so I highly recommend you do that, you can put anything in there like documents, passport infos, bank infos, rest assured nothing will happen.
Shutter lag alone makes me regret buying S23 Ultra. As present as on any other Samsung phone I used in last 6-7 years (and I don't see many reviewers addressing that problem). Blurry pics of moving subjects should not be acceptable in 2023. even on midrange devices. And there are many more camera problems. Yes, results can sometimes be fantastic, but more then often there are ones that are unusable. So, for those who are buying phone mainly because of camera, I'd suggest Iphone. Samsung sadly still does not deliver reliable and simple point and shoot camera experience.

Here is one question - a serious one for a change: How come that you say that the iphone has a screen-on time of around 5 hours - when some other (mostly Apple dedicated channels) say that the screen-on time is 12-15 hours?! I mean, i understand that there is a bias .. but it cannot be a 300% bias .. so one of you seems to test the screen-on time VERY differently.
@@yk-lt5bs I forgot the channel, but it was a youtuber who compared like 4 or 5 phones (when the iphone 13 came out) .. and concluded that the iPhone 13 (pro or so? dont know) managed to have a screen-on time of over 12 hours. (with videos, games, instagram/social media etc usage) I would assume that the 15 has not dropped from the aforementioned 12+ hours to only 5 (assuming this RUclipsr was telling the truth) I cannot confirm any of that, the only iPhone i have is half a decade old and most certainly never lasted near 5 hours ... and only makes it to like 3 hours today
If you use you phone for 48 hrs straight you can get 5 hrs screen on time on 1 charge. Makes sense? All depends on how you are using it. But 12 hrs... 15 🤔 Unless with screen at lower settings. And all radio disconnected then yeah. Otherwise, good luck! 9 hrs with some power usage would be realistic.
Ok, I'll tell you something. Mr. Tech Spurt also tests the devices outside in real environments where there is no WiFi, etc. If you travel outside a lot, you will never achieve the SoT times that you would achieve at home on WiFi. I'm coming, for example. with my S23U when I'm at home on 10-11 hours SoT. When I'm on the road I can only manage 5-6 hours. And if I then use maps, which drains the battery to no end, it's even less. But this is all completely normal because you often change the radio cells outside and that costs the battery every time. It also depends on how stable a radio network is. Some suck more, some less. So, what are all the channels doing that are already very Apple-centric? They write down the times they reached at home on the WiFi and don't talk so critically either way because they get money from Apple. If you are too critical and give too many negative reviews, you will no longer get any money and Apple will no longer provide you with devices to test. As simple as that!
RIP the Galaxy S24 Line if they go back to the Exynos in the EU market.... (Maybe the S24 Ultra gets the 8 Gen 3 but it's sad since I love the 6.1" screen size)...
Thanks for your content. A point of attention regarding the speaker comparison. Louder is not necessarily better. In any case, I don't think your comparison is good just based on voice. There are so many layers to sound. I can't talk about the Iphone 15 Pro. I can talk about the 14 Pro max and the S 23 ultra quality speakers. The iPhone can be louder and has just a little bit more depth in the bass frequency. The S23 Ultra has richer and clearer sound in all other frequencies. You can adjust the sound of the Samsung to your taste with the equalizer and Dolby Atmos. Personally, I like the sound of the s23 ultra better. The iPhone 14 Pro Max sounds dull and you cannot adjust anything. It's a shame that many reviewers don't do a more extensive sound test.

I switched from S21 ultra to 14 pro last year and unfortunately the iPhone/iOS is leagues ahead in almost every way (and I don't need to wear a belt anymore!). I'm hoping Pixel will rectify this but based on this year releases I don't see it happening for a few years. Here's my take: iPhone perks 1. FaceId works instantly 100% of the time even in complete darkness. Don't get me started on the idea of in-screen fingerprint sensors. Think of people that do manual labour. 2. You don't need to close the apps on iOS or Android. In fact its worse for both if you do. But iOS handles background apps better. 3. Camera app launches and takes photos and videos instantly. It never once lagged as opposed to Android glitchy camera apps. 4. Apple Home is amazing. Works for all my Hue devices and has much easier scene setup than both Alexa and Hue. Samsung perks 1. Google integration is a bit better. 2. Google assistant is better than Siri.

I came here just for the camera comparison and I'm surprised by the big advantage for the Samsung. Miles ahead!

Just a FYI, the strobing from the gig footage around 14:22 *really* needs a warning considering how dangerous that can be for those with photosensitive epilepsy. (I am fortunate enough to not be one of them but do have sensory processing issues from being autistic and find strobes very overwhelming - I was briefly disorientated with that footage and I was only watching in portrait on the S20 FE 5G I'm potentially swapping out for the S23 Ultra, full-screen I'd have been far worse.)
I would suggest future strobing content to be split out into its own segment for ease of skipping.
Appreciate the content though, just noting that there are people out there who currently can't!

Here is one question - a serious one for a change:
How come that you say that the iphone has a screen-on time of around 5 hours - when some other (mostly Apple dedicated channels) say that the screen-on time is 12-15 hours?!
I mean, i understand that there is a bias .. but it cannot be a 300% bias .. so one of you seems to test the screen-on time VERY differently.
15 hours? Like on a Mac ? Do you have a smartphone? 😅
@@yk-lt5bs I forgot the channel, but it was a youtuber who compared like 4 or 5 phones (when the iphone 13 came out) .. and concluded that the iPhone 13 (pro or so? dont know) managed to have a screen-on time of over 12 hours.
(with videos, games, instagram/social media etc usage)
I would assume that the 15 has not dropped from the aforementioned 12+ hours to only 5
(assuming this RUclipsr was telling the truth)
I cannot confirm any of that, the only iPhone i have is half a decade old and most certainly never lasted near 5 hours ... and only makes it to like 3 hours today
@@Alfadrottning86i have THE iphone 15 pro and I tell you ain't no one is getting 14 hours SOT lmao
I barely get 8
If you use you phone for 48 hrs straight you can get 5 hrs screen on time on 1 charge.
Makes sense?
All depends on how you are using it.
But 12 hrs... 15 🤔
Unless with screen at lower settings.
Saw the prices...on both phones...I'll stick with my cheaper but still formidable Google Pixel 7 Pro, thank you!

It's a shame that many reviewers don't do a more extensive sound test.

iPhone perks
Samsung perks
1. Google integration is a bit better.
2. Google assistant is better than Siri.
