    Great video. Newer Fords are the same way with that sensor. You can drill the 1" hole in the side to gain access. You left the old sensor with pigtail wires in the plenum?

    • @Brenthill1
      @Brenthill1  2 года назад +1

      Thank you-yes i clipped off as much of harness as i could and left the sensor in place

    how did you insert the temp sensor tip in the evaporator without taking out the whole evaporator?

      the 1 " hole i drilled at the top gave me room to use a pair of long needle nose

    Do you think a guy could cut an entrance in the side to access the core and cut the harness wires at the top and extended the harness to then come in through the side of the plenum to in theory remove the old sensor out the side instead since it won't pull out from the top?

    • @Brenthill1
      @Brenthill1  4 года назад +1

      I suppose you could if there was room to cut, i honestly dont remember what the side of the case looks like... i just left the original and mounted the new sensor right next to it, worked great!

    • @Brenthill1
      @Brenthill1  4 года назад +2

      If i remember right, to access the top of the case is the easiest and it may be possible by just pulling the upper dash instead of the entire dash like i did..let me know how it goes.

    This video was very helpful installing the sensor. I had code B3933-02 Evaporator air temp sensor short to ground. Diagnose was bad evaporator air temp sensor. I installed the new one and air still don't work. Did you have to clear any code after sensor install? Everything else on system seems to check out.

    • @Brenthill1
      @Brenthill1  4 года назад

      no need to clear any code for it to work, however if you clear the code and get the same code after replacing the sensor there may be something else going on... do you have a scanner that will show you info like "evap temp"?

    • @markkuzminski939
      @markkuzminski939 4 года назад +1

      @@Brenthill1 finally got this scanned the "evap temp" is -20. The sensor resistance seems fine now. All the wiring seems to be fine. Climate control module might be the problem? The rest of the system all checks out.
