Did i mention i love heavy equipment? The brute strength is so impressive!
I got to ride in a dozer bucket!

I was so enamored by the brute strength of the dozer i didnt think about getting stuck on this side of the dam once he broke thru..my bad! It was cool!
Finish the cut into the pond so it can drain

Hopefully dry up soon so we can fill it in
Lets get started!

Part 8 Welding brackets to base plate

Its all about the details! Fail! Forgot to add the 4 1/4" offset Boy, i made plenty of mistakes so far, but thats ok thats how i learn!
Part 7 Weld bushings onto brackets

The bushings are a very strong anchor support for the pins..once in place they (pins) do not rotate.

I have a problem when it vibrates like rumble strips but only at 45mph when the transmission shifts. It’s quick and doesn’t last, if I drive in OD it doesn’t happen, if I let off the accelerator as I hit 45 and press it again it doesn’t make the noise
Hi Jack, do you have an F150? If so, the most common issues i see is torque converter shudder-sounds like its just starting so it may be difficult to duplicate consistently but 45mph is the typical speed when its noticed...you can try "shudder fix" from O'reillys it generally stops it immediately, if not you will most likely need to replace it at some point..
That being said you could also be experiencing an intermittant misfire, sometimes the check engine light will flash on and off if the pcm detects the miss, perhaps pull codes and see what is in memory
Shudder comes from the transmission oil being dirty and filter as well.
Great video. Newer Fords are the same way with that sensor. You can drill the 1" hole in the side to gain access. You left the old sensor with pigtail wires in the plenum?
Thank you-yes i clipped off as much of harness as i could and left the sensor in place
I have rumble strip noise happen when I turn right and accelerate or drive over speed bumps. Any idea? Suspension is all good. 2004 ford expedition
If you have a shudder from rear on accel and when turning, even slightly.. it may have issue with the diff clutches...
@@Brenthill1 I think it has to do with my tires. Its when I go over a speed bump or when turning only right and it's inconsistent
@@killerbsting1621 If your tires are oversized perhaps they are hitting/rubbing? Make sure inner fender liner is attached properly ...
@@Brenthill1 oe tires and size. No rubbing. I do have many plugs in them. Would that cause a rumble strip noise
@@killerbsting1621 The only thing i know of that resembles rumble strip is the torque converter clutch engagement but that would only happen in 3rd or 4th gear..if the sensation is generally at slow speeds i would suspect the clutches in rear diff shuddering...
You should NOT be a Mechanc.
My customers would disagree with you, its a quality repair that saves the customer money.
Its literally how GM says to do this
You NEED to spell better
Helpful.
So did your vibration went away sr I replace the u joints and still have the issue and also transfer case fluid and still nothing imma try your option hoping it goes away thanks for your time
Hi Caleb, yes it fixed the problem with my truck, it is very common and quick to inspect! Good luck!
U think it's the check valve
Gotta do some diagnostics Mark, could be as simple as a hole rubbed thru on vacuum line or leaking vacuum hub
I had this happen on my 08. However, it wasn't that someone had applied the parking brake and it had not released, it was rust build up on the inside surface of the rotor/drum hat I call it. Basically where the park brake shoes push against. Enough had built up so that when I either hit a big bump or when I would hit the edge of a bridge overpass lip in the road it would start rubbing. Eventually it would vibrate so bad the wipers were bouncing off the windshield, yes that bad. I had the Ford dealer look at it less than two months after I bought it used, they said they could not duplicate the issue. Said it was from tire flat spotting from sitting all night. I said, don't think so. Ended up fixing it myself. Nice to see now Ford has gone to a different set up for the park brake sometime around 2015-2016. I think it's electronic and applies the brake caliper piston.
Is that the position (extended) it’s supposed to be in with the park brake on or off?
when extened/stretched all the way out the park brake is off...its when the cable pulls on the lever that it applies the ebrake
Brent Hill thanks
If it sounds like you're going over rumble strips, it might be the torque converter
Thanks,i just did mine for a 2011 Chevy silverado
Great! Did you do it similarly to me or your own way?
@@Brenthill1 similar, i had to cut a hole a the bottom to be able to connect the sensor, thanks for all your info👍
@@martinhernandez8187 Nice work Martin!
Martin Hernandez u have video how to do it .. i will appreciate 🌷
@@thameralshammeri262 sorry i dont, its not hard at all, trucks problem is fixed now
This video was very helpful installing the sensor. I had code B3933-02 Evaporator air temp sensor short to ground. Diagnose was bad evaporator air temp sensor. I installed the new one and air still don't work. Did you have to clear any code after sensor install? Everything else on system seems to check out.
no need to clear any code for it to work, however if you clear the code and get the same code after replacing the sensor there may be something else going on... do you have a scanner that will show you info like "evap temp"?
@@Brenthill1 finally got this scanned the "evap temp" is -20. The sensor resistance seems fine now. All the wiring seems to be fine. Climate control module might be the problem? The rest of the system all checks out.
@@markkuzminski939 I'm having the same problem did you ever figure it out?
@@katiesierra10 my problems are in the wiring, something is shorted out somewhere, tried different module with no luck.
how did you insert the temp sensor tip in the evaporator without taking out the whole evaporator?
the 1 " hole i drilled at the top gave me room to use a pair of long needle nose
what year silerado? part # please....
2011 Silverado, sorry dont have part number this time..I recommend getting OEM, any decent parts guy shouldnt have a problem looking up an evap temp sensor..key word "shouldnt"
Do you think a guy could cut an entrance in the side to access the core and cut the harness wires at the top and extended the harness to then come in through the side of the plenum to in theory remove the old sensor out the side instead since it won't pull out from the top?
I suppose you could if there was room to cut, i honestly dont remember what the side of the case looks like... i just left the original and mounted the new sensor right next to it, worked great!
If i remember right, to access the top of the case is the easiest and it may be possible by just pulling the upper dash instead of the entire dash like i did..let me know how it goes.
@@Brenthill1 will do, I have cracks in the upper dash panel in this Tahoe that I need to repair so I figured I'd I pull both the air bag and the upper dash panel I could access it all and knock em both out at the same time. Thx for the video.....
@@lylenelson7446Please let me know how it goes, or better yet, share a video of your repair!
@@Brenthill1 ended up mice chewed on some wires to the sensor and others so didn't need to do an creative work
I bought a 04 f150 3 weeks ago and it runs good ....but the rear-end shutters on take off and turn outs going left an right AND the brake light flash on an off going down wavy roads ...what might that be...thanks
If the rear shudders on take off from stop when turning (even in the slightest) most likely its the clutches in rear axle. You could try a drain and refill, be sure to use appropriate friction modifier, otherwise it will need clutches replaced. If you mean the red brake light on the dash i'd check the resevoir level, may be low.. Good luck!
@@Brenthill1 I took front drive shaft off my 06 ford f-150 and replaced hub actuator it's making a grinding and vibration when I make a turn
@@markandrews148 If it has vacuum hubs in the front vacuum test them from the solenoid under the hood-
I failed to mention to either replace the actuators or take them apart, clean and lube them
That’s awesome
