Funny story! The last time I was in the stretching room, someone yelled “My leg!” exactly like the guy from SpongeBob after the crashing sound happened in the dark. When the lights came on, half of the crowd was laughing so hard. I love this ride so much!

Kevin R. One time, some teen yelled “you forgot to say dead center” because the cast member just said “please drag your bodies to the center of the room.” It was really awkward after cause it was just silent and everyone was looking at him.
I bet it was the actual voice actor.

This is definitely the best pov I’ve ever seen of the haunted mansion, the ghost host is clearly audible the whole time, the people in the stretching room weren’t too loud, the music loops were almost perfectly timed and the hatbox ghost is actually there and working for once, the ride didn’t stop or go too slow, & there weren’t people with their phones on full brightness in the séance/madam leota room

When I went once a group of 20 kids were just saying OMG SO COOOL and a another time someone was just copying the dialogue

Unpopular opinion: normal haunted mansion is way better then HM holiday. something just feels "off" with the holiday version
Hopefully we won't have to deal with that anymore. They won't have time to put the overlays on attractions with the star wars crowds at the park.

I think that's the popular opinion actually. As much as people love HMH, I don't think they would ever let Disney get rid of the regular Haunted Mansion. Most people really only like it at Christmastime. Now, personally I actually do prefer Haunted Mansion Holiday over regular Haunted Mansion... and I don't even like Nightmare Before Christmas. I think like the mansion feels a lot more fun with the score of HMH. If I could, I would take a mix of both with it being half regular and half holiday.
I think most normal Disney Park lovers DON'T actually like the NBC overlay. I hope they stop doing it too. VERY happy they don't do it in Florida.

At 5:08, I think it's funny that they actually label the only functional door in that hallway with "EXIT." I suppose if there was an emergency, people would be trying all of them.
The new lighting effects in the attic and graveyard scenes look amazing!!

The video quality is so nice on this. Too bad about the copyright issues. We love the Haunted Mansion. We actually just did a review of the ride for our channel and my husband drew a picture of the attraction.
So I haven’t been on the original haunted mansion in years, every time I go they always have the jack skellington stuff up, now finally on the 25th I’ll be going and I’ll finally be able to enjoy my classic haunted mansion!
Retnick they will only have the haunted mansion holiday for 2 short months this year so for the other 10 months of the year it will have the regular haunted mansion as it always has been

Liquid Snake just rode the ride today. I think the lighting looks like that due to the camera being used. Looks just the same as last year
The animatronics work really well for their age!

Ron Hertz Probably some animatronic issues, the grave yard guy was probably not hooked up properly, most likely will be fixed soon

Unite Productions yeah, last time I went it was super dark. Like, darker than usual dark. That may just be because it was a sunny day and I usually go when it’s overcast, and my eyes weren’t adjusted yet, but it was NOT that bright.
That looks like new-ish lighting in the graveyard. Or the camera. Either one, but it's nice!

Probably being refurbished. Disney does that with a lot of their older rides. They remove some of the ensemble animatronics and then put them back after they're cleaned up
snarkus63 I noticed that last time I went (this year.) they’re my favorite ghosts on the ride so of course I’d notice lol. Hope they’re back soon!

Yes, they really need to make it so people can actually hear that line.
The Spanish narration at 4:15 needs to go. Completely ruins the moment and is not needed. Go through safety in other languages outside the ride, don't break character while you're frigging on it like that. Glad they don't do this is Florida.
I’ve come to find that some rides have the Spanish translation and others don’t. If there is no translation simply for the sake of immersion, why would imagineers not think to do the same on the haunted mansion? Just a thought

I see something new the first part it went farther down and the experience of course the color in the background the start of the ride and it got darker new things to make it more scary

okay, so I'm not completely against the "black widow bride", but I would like it to be more like the original corpse bride! Like if they redid the projection effect between dialog to become dead like the pirate on tom sawyer island as well as be covered in cobwebs and redo the ax to be the classic candle at first. Also, pop up heads could represent the severed heads of the previous grooms...

Not only is this my favorite ride at Disney World. This is perhaps my absolute favorite thing from Disney.
Anyone know how they make the animatronics look like real ghosts? It really amazes me how they do it
I think it's called the Pepper's ghost effect, you can look it up or watch Offhand Disney's video on how Disney tricks your mind, I think he included it there
They have he peppers ghost affect which is a reflection of the object and using a mirror, the real animatronic are directly below you in the ball room under the floor you are in
It's called the Dr Peppers host effect. They get a host (like from westworld) and it's something to do with Dr pepper, they probably cover it in Dr Pepper and because of the fizziness and....... mirror.
That's how they do it i thik.
I mean I wouldn't be surprised it would be closed for a long time cause they gotta do a lot of stuff like reprogram everything, add decorations, replace the stretching room pictures, etc.
I’ve only been on it during Christmas when they change it to “Nightmare Before Christmas”, and the real version looks really cool and know I wanna ride it lol
I remember I went to disneyland for the 1st time and went on this ride. But my step mom and me had no idea it was the hmh version so we were shocked that it was different than the original. My step mom was kinda bum because she wanted the orginal one. I liked it though I thought it was pretty wicked to see the Nightmare before xmas charactors in the ride.
I noticed in this video that there were creaking sounds in the Stretching Room at the beginning when the portraits and walls start to stretch. I don’t remember that sound effect being there in the past. Is that something new?
Damn they turned the Nightmare Before Christmas decorations back to the OG Haunted Mansion will quick! I was just there on December 27th.

I remember seeing the mansion on a casual walk through Disney with my family when I was like 4 or 5. I told my parents I wanted to check out what was inside there.
The stretching room literally traumatized me for the rest of the day. I wasn’t that scared for the actual ride but that first step in that stretching room will stick with me forever

Matthew Heid- I believe they were taken out for remodeling. They usually do this to some animatronics instead of closing down the ride
Probably just for refurbishment, because they have to look fresh (although they're dead).
May be they were taken down since the opera singers are malfunctioning or not working properly

Umm... why? It won't be the holidays anymore during February and march. The overlay wouldn't make sense to be there any longer. Plus the original haunted mansion is a classic and many people, including myself, love the holiday overlay, but are glad to see the haunted mansion back in its normal state
@@spongeycraftstudios4371 to me the xmas overlay until at least the middle of Feb. Then march open it again. Then put back normal HM then in oct. Xmas again.
