Ultrasound Technologist takes you to work | Come to work with me!
When patients ask me what about telling them what’s going on, I just say, “oh, I don’t read these. I send them to the radiologist to read.” When they pry, like harrass me with trying to tell them the results, my response is, “i would tell you, but you don’t want me telling you what i think it is. I could be dead wrong and you end up getting the wrong treatment.” And their eyes get big as quarters and then they stop asking. 😂 but it’s true, I can’t diagnose anything because i’m not a doctor. I also explain that the ultrasound exam alone won’t give all the info for a full diagnosis, so their doctor(s) will have to tell them because of various tests they do to help with finding out a diagnosis.
I just did my interview for a sonography program 😭 im praying i get in! So excited to actually get in the field and learning and working
sonography caught my eye, so i took the basic gen ed classes such as physics, bio, anatomy, algebra, and things like that. and i discovered that im actually not to keen on anatomy and physiology, mainly the physiology portion. im having major second thoughts as i feel it pays an important role.
This is honestly so cool and so informative! That’s awesome you have a really flexible work schedule because you are perdium! Really cool job !
This might be a dumb question, i think I know the answer, but do they offer benefits like health insurance as a per diem?
Hi I’m studying to become an ultrasound tech and i wanted to know how long it took you to memorize everything and to get used to it? I’m having a hard time trying to memorize the terms and was wondering if you can suggest any good site’s to study.
Mmm we like this humans demeanor...very positive..
I’m a 25 year old male who’s looking into this job. Experience handling/up-keeping very expensive machines/equipment, dealing with and managing people and very good with people, handles stress very well, etc. What’s the ratio of men:women in this field and is it difficult for males to get a job being a sonographer?
The doggie hahah!
Just found your account and subscribed after one video! Love your videos you really explain things well and are so sweet 🥰 and since you work perdiem (if thats how it spelled lol) about how many days a month do u work? I know you tell them what days you can work but I just started looking into this career path and I just found perdiem exists and I’m just wondering if it’s a good option since I do also have a bakery business that I want to keep going if I follow this career path. Thank you ❤️🔥
I've been watching a few videos and youre the first person to mention that you can't tell the patient whats going on and that some patients might refuse the ultrasound!! Super interesting so thanks for sharing your shift
just subscribed! i love seeing more sonographer youtubers!! there used to be very very little but now it keeps growing :) love this video and i’m excited for more. i’m in my second semester for prerequisites, hoping to finish and apply to a sonography program next year. im so nervous yet excited!!
