Wow Tolya, & Vika, what a beautiful stone floor and that wood door goes well with your colors too. And then the men uncovered that gorgeous arch! Liked how Tolya, aided that turtle… so kind! Your house is going to be so beautiful when completed. Is Paul, a relative or friend? I can only imagine your genuine excitement as you see your home transforming before your eyes. A lot of investment of hard work, sacrifice, and time, but in the end you will have saved a house from being demolished and be able to enjoy your very own home! You both are young people with little girls who work hard to attain things. Congratulations to both sets of your parents as they instilled good work ethic values in you! So many young people have been brought up with poor values and lack of discipline and love. So many young, able bodied people refuse to work and cause hardship on their families 😢. You two, are good examples as responsible adults, and I just want your parents to be recognized for all their hard work raising families! By the way, Vika, was wondering when showing remodeling in a room, could you please let viewers know which room in house we are watching work being done? I really am loving your house and was wondering about the room with wooden door and stone floor, would that be living room? What room is the arch in? How many rooms, including kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, dining room, laundry room, etc. will your house have? It sure looks like a large house. Sorry, so many questions… I watch house remodels on TV and love them. Vika, you produce great videos and thank you for sharing. Hugs to both little girls. You both take care. Am praying for your family. God bless! Sending hugs to all. Your American friend , CarrieJo/North Carolina USA 😊❤

A difference from British standard construction seems to be that whereas in Britain wires would be placed in trunking, in Georgia the wires are covered in plaster. The advantage of the British system is that the wires can be replaced. You just tie a new wire onto the old wire and then pull the old wire to pull the new wire through the trunking.

    • @VictoriaTerekhina

But our friends with professional construction experience were checking the house and consulting him about all the renos and he is keeping in touch with them☺️ Thank God there are people in the village who can change the roof and make the fence so at least these he won't have to do.

Basically they are bodging it up...yes it will do for now,bit give it 2 years maybe and that "cement is going to fall off!
They have ruined all that perfectly good flooring, yes some was rotten but alot wasn't as you could hear the squeak of the nails pulling through the wood...if they didn't want to use it,they could have sold it as reclaimed timber! They really haven't got much of a clue, although the friend that is helping is slightly better as atleast he was wearing a mask while stripping the ceilings..that old concrete will 100% have lead in it and asbestos!
One good thing was the 🐢 was put to safety.

@@justavideodiary He sure is a hard worker, but the quality of the work is just not good. They're cutting corners where they can without addressing the real problems like the leaky roof or the issues with the foundations.
I still can't get over how he randomly removed parts of the load-bearing walls without consulting an architect first and without adding any supports. You can't just do that! The structural integrity of the house looked already compromised with some of the walls caving and sagging, but then he made it even worse. Just to put in some cheap single-pane windows that are held in by nothing but tons of spray foam. (Having done this without the proper permits will likely also prevent them from being able to sell the house in the future.)
And keep in mind, this is a house that was build cheaply and quickly over 40 years ago in a region that is prone to earthquakes. Having someone check the foundation should have been the very first thing to do. This house is likely not safe to even be in.
Also the fact that he doesn't take personal protection like wearing a mask, safety goggles and steel-toed boots seriously despite people pointing this out again and again under each video. I wouldn't be surprised if he already has mild lung damage from all the dust and mould he has inhaled so far.

I love the sun shining through the arched doorway! Reminds me of a Church.
That hardware store could be Australia, USA, or anywhere. Somethings are the same, wherever you go! I was curious how far Tolya has to travel to access hardware & building supplies??

Vika, could you please add a warning for the flickering lights in the home improvement store? Maybe add a time stamp for when it is over. The flourecent tubes gave me an instant headache. 😵‍💫
Other than that: I just love to follow how the work is progressing. I am so impressed. 😊 Even more knowing that Tolya doesn't have an education as a tradesman.
