even with a slightly understeery front the car seems to be super well planted no matter what kind of corner it takes, really awesome build. if he plans to track it he could just keep the current setup without changing anything and have a much lower chance to accidentally bin it during track days as a bonus

255/35/18 up front is the way to go. The big wing is going to take grip off the front, so you’ll need more tire and likely some front aero to compensate.
Yeh might have to look at changing the front suspension I’m running kw v2 two way with adjustable camber plates set to max with wide tyres the tyre catches the strutt, but agree wider tyre and front aero is the next step
Forget the car, look at that scenery! Wish we still had Adrian here to capture it. Doing over 140 at 15:50 on what looks like still a wet surface is seriously impressive. Also, the launch at 4:48 mid-corner was really impressive too.
Even going over the curb the tyre rubbed the arch never normally happens with no aero unless car is really low. I also have suspension secrets do all my geo too, I’m lucky to be half hour away from them. Great set of guys.
I feel your anger, had a person in a purple Cupra block me for ⅓ of a lap just like the white Ford. I eventually overtook him and I hope he realized he wasn't racing me but was in the way.
Misha, I swear that sometimes the yellows protect you. Don't be used when you see yellow. Thank God for protecting you from a crash or something even worse!
What a well setup car, great lap just the right amount of power im sure its just alittle faster with only the driver (even if you only weighed 100lbs thats alot imo)

So big wing is the new hype. Lower lap times. Higher corner speeds. Smaller limits. Bigger speed differences of cars. Good for trackdays but not practical for TF. I can understand the fascination of big downforce. But isn't the fun in driving at and within the limit? And how many are really capable of this with tons of downforce and a very narrow limit?

LOL when you were a kid if you tried to put this much power through a 255-width rear tire it would absolutely destroy itself, and be useless in the wet on top of that. Tire technology has come a ridiculously long way even in the last decade alone.

it would be nice to have some force transducers on the rear and a readout to see in real time the amount of downforce being produced by the wing.

Modular version I can unbolt my existing wing and get to the track then bolt this on, no modifications required 👍

i remember when tyres were made 100% rubber, now they are rubbish plastic infused that do not last. when i was a kid tyres lasted a couple of years
