Thanks Guys, any questions please leave them in the comments below.
Cheers, James.
Also curious about how long would the pool noodles last
Screws will come out from plywood over time. It’s better to join the 2 layers with velcro. Also, pool noodles foam is very cheap, it will last long.
Great build! Could you let me know how you feel about it now that you have used it for a few months? Is there enough spring? Too much? What would you change? Thanks!
Amazing vid, could you use obs board instead of ply?
Nice one James. My gym also has a sprung floor. It was done almost the same, except instead of pool noodles, coach put dense foam cubes (like jigsaw mat material) under the ply. Also i think he only has one layer of ply.
Any learnings or changes you'd make after 2 years?
To save on costs could I use 9mm boards for children's dance studio? Or does that cause other issues.
What would be a good alternative to plywood? Is there some kind of plastic material that would work well? I'm in the Philippines where termites are a big problem.
Did you use structural or non structural ply? Also how’s it holding up
Was it, 1/2 , 1/4, or 5/8 plywood?
Beautiful build man. Well thought out and executed
