My fiancee and I got the biggest kick out of your clever username, he couldn't stop laughing. I'm 53 but it seems like only yesterday when my bestie & I were in our early twenties, having the time of our lives watching Guns & Roses perform in concert! She sadly died in a car accident that same year, so it was an especially meaningful concert, my final memory. We were young, beautiful, carefree and always laughing and creating. She and I crafted out of necessity, like buying outfits from Goodwill and reconstructing them into 80's fashion- denim, pearls & lace. Or picking up roadside discards to revamp & decorate our apartment. Being kind of poor forces you to be creative, without which we may not have both majored in fashion merchandising. You inadvertently brought back some lovely memories, thank you for that, and thank you for the awesome video. You can add me to your subscriber family! 🥰

I am a hospice nurse- I use the pool noodles for the hospital beds.... I put them under the sheets to keep my patients from rolling off the bed & I cut them down the center & cut them appropriately and line the metal railings so patients don't bang their arms / legs or get their extremities stuck. Works amazing & so much cheaper than alternatives! 💜

First of all, thank you for all that you do! Hospice Nurses are truly angels here on Earth! I had the pleasure of working with a great group of Hospice Nurses when my dad was passing away...I would've been lost without them! Anyway, I did the same thing with the pool noodles on my dad's bed. Since he wasn't able to move, it was more for our family to be able to lean on the bars comfortably so we could be close to my dad at all times. ♡

Don’t forget to use it on your roof racks to transport surfboards, kayaks, paddle boards and other items you want to protect from the regular bars. Place it along the edges of your ski and snowboard equipment in the summer to protect them from rust. Especially in humid climates. Not to mention using them on wire tomato cages to protect your fruit from bruising!!

With 50 bucks I made a MASSIVE king sized linen headboard. The exact same one was selling for 2k in a local boutique. My husband thought I was nuts... now he brags about it. I found a free square kindergarten table for free in my area. I took the legs off, used spray adhesive, batting a stapple gun, and a lovely piece of furniture grade linen fabric. The square cut-out is perfect for accessing the power outlet to plug in and hide lamp cords.
I also used pool noodles between studs in a bathroom remodel ... then I used spray foam to lock in place before sheet rock... now my bathroom is the quietest sanctuary in my home.

So I Google images and there is a king sized faux leather one that is similar to the one I made. The only difference is i used 2 inch cushion foam over the top of the noodles to eliminate the undulations of the curved pool noodles. Also many of the images have the noodles perpendicular to the floor. I made mine stripe across the headboard parallel to the floor. I used a navy blue heavy fabric and used extra long staples on the back. Then I used about 500 brass tacks from the dollar store to tack along the Ridge of the headboard. RUclips doesn't allow outside links or I'd link it.

I live in northern CA so I get to wear boots pretty much year round. I was about to purchase some pretty costly boot inserts to keep them from drooping. If you have dogs, you know how often you have to fish their toys out from under furniture. Cut a pool noodle so it'll fit wedged behind the front legs of your couch/dresser/breakfront, then paint it matte black so it's not noticeable. No more fishing for dog toys.

I got the idea two days ago for doing this with a couple of pool noodles. I am absolutely fed up with trying to lift up a heavy couch or recliner to get hair out from under it. I think this is going to work very well. The only thing is, I don’t think I am going to be able to use them under my electric recliner since the metal frame sits directly onto the floor. I’ll have to find out.

I've used pool noodles cut once down the middle to help insulate the trunks of my trees until they get a wide enough trunk to be hardy enough that I don't have to worry about them getting killed down to the ground over winter. Once my trees trunks get about a half An inch wide, I don't need them anymore.
Just slice the noodle down on one side and slip it over the trunk of the small seedling. Secure with string or whatever until spring.

You can also put one on the end of your kitchen faucet and use like a water hose to fill up your mop bucket I use a long one that is just the right size to fill my bucket up and they don't leak you have to hold it on so it don't come off

I'm glad someone else shares my humor. Or at the very least you feel bad for me and left this comment just to make me feel better. I'm fine with both scenarios.
So much love to you, Mayberry ❤

I don't know how you do it, but you continually surprise me with how creative you can be with such uninspiring items!!!!!!! I plan on making a few of these DIYs and implementing some of the techniques that you shared!! I would watch a video of yours with just techniques and things that you've learned as you've crafted. I'm sure I'm not the only one of your fans who feels the same way!!!!!!

At this point, I’d watch her read the phone book! Not only is she funny as heck, I know when she finished reading, she’d show us 10 things to do with an old phone book! 😄 AND they’d all be things you’d actually want to do!
