My fiancee and I got the biggest kick out of your clever username, he couldn't stop laughing. I'm 53 but it seems like only yesterday when my bestie & I were in our early twenties, having the time of our lives watching Guns & Roses perform in concert! She sadly died in a car accident that same year, so it was an especially meaningful concert, my final memory. We were young, beautiful, carefree and always laughing and creating. She and I crafted out of necessity, like buying outfits from Goodwill and reconstructing them into 80's fashion- denim, pearls & lace. Or picking up roadside discards to revamp & decorate our apartment. Being kind of poor forces you to be creative, without which we may not have both majored in fashion merchandising. You inadvertently brought back some lovely memories, thank you for that, and thank you for the awesome video. You can add me to your subscriber family! 🥰

I am a hospice nurse- I use the pool noodles for the hospital beds.... I put them under the sheets to keep my patients from rolling off the bed & I cut them down the center & cut them appropriately and line the metal railings so patients don't bang their arms / legs or get their extremities stuck. Works amazing & so much cheaper than alternatives! 💜

I had the pleasure of working with a great group of Hospice Nurses when my dad was passing away...I would've been lost without them! Anyway, I did the same thing with the pool noodles on my dad's bed. Since he wasn't able to move, it was more for our family to be able to lean on the bars comfortably so we could be close to my dad at all times. ♡

With 50 bucks I made a MASSIVE king sized linen headboard. The exact same one was selling for 2k in a local boutique. My husband thought I was nuts... now he brags about it. I found a free square kindergarten table for free in my area. I took the legs off, used spray adhesive, batting a stapple gun, and a lovely piece of furniture grade linen fabric. The square cut-out is perfect for accessing the power outlet to plug in and hide lamp cords.
I also used pool noodles between studs in a bathroom remodel ... then I used spray foam to lock in place before sheet rock... now my bathroom is the quietest sanctuary in my home.

So I Google images and there is a king sized faux leather one that is similar to the one I made. The only difference is i used 2 inch cushion foam over the top of the noodles to eliminate the undulations of the curved pool noodles. Also many of the images have the noodles perpendicular to the floor. I made mine stripe across the headboard parallel to the floor. I used a navy blue heavy fabric and used extra long staples on the back. Then I used about 500 brass tacks from the dollar store to tack along the Ridge of the headboard. RUclips doesn't allow outside links or I'd link it.

I think this is going to work very well. The only thing is, I don’t think I am going to be able to use them under my electric recliner since the metal frame sits directly onto the floor. I’ll have to find out.

I've used pool noodles cut once down the middle to help insulate the trunks of my trees until they get a wide enough trunk to be hardy enough that I don't have to worry about them getting killed down to the ground over winter. Once my trees trunks get about a half An inch wide, I don't need them anymore.
Just slice the noodle down on one side and slip it over the trunk of the small seedling. Secure with string or whatever until spring.

Great ideas and I love your topiary more than color tv. When I lived in Texas I wanted one of those spiral trees. I couldn’t find one that didn’t make my husband grumble and they were less than $100.00 at H-E-B garden center. He’s dead now, but if he saw the price of the fake one at Pottery Barn he would probably keel over. I use pool noodles in the bottom of planters for a few reasons; 1) they provide space for roots, 2) they save me from using as much dirt, 3) they hold water so I don’t have to water as often. Using the noodles on the chains for the swing is swart. I’ve got a swing I have considered taking the swings off of to turn it into something else; I’m not sure what yet. Bargain Bethany used pool noodles and broom handles (I think) to make archways for her yard. That made me wonder about creating tents using pool noodles and sheets, or maybe a crawl tunnel for a cat or baby. My brain is working this morning. Thanks for the ideas. As usual your ideas are great.

Dollar Tree also has a kneeling pad in the garden section that's denser foam & can also be cut to size. It might fit your frame better than a pool noodle will.

I have made a 5 ft oriental bridge (rails) with red pool noodles.. looks absolutely awesome & it didn't cost the $169.00 you pay at Amazon. for a one that does not come apart & weighs a ton. Also used pool noodles to make the arch & got connecting wooden tiles at $ store to make the bridge. Thanks for the inspiration.

I live in MN winters are horrible, shoveling snow, cover the handle of your shovel with a piece pool noodle, another piece about half way down where your other hand holds the shovel, this keeps your hands from freezing!

I slit pool noodles to put around the edges of metal spiral stairs in our deck. People were constantly bumping heads bringing blood. Buy these in a contrasting or same color and slit them on one side and cut the length the width of the step. Push the noodle around the edge and now you have a safety feature to prevent injuries!

if you've got Tailbone Pain issues when sitting, I've started folding and Sitting on the pool noodle while driving. It works better than the more expensive cushions! I'm still working on customizing the shape - to get the design just right. But so far it works pretty well.
