I'm guessing you have the destination set to "Save as PDF". You'll need to click on the drop down menu and select your printer as shown at 10:34 in this video.
Timmy!! Deborah from Mississippi thank you so much, you went over everything. After a week of RUclips, I found Timmy and Timmy helped Deborah set up her printer. ❤🎉
Wow, that's a lot of pages, I've never tried something like that before, but as long as you have a Chromebook with enough RAM and CPU power to handle all of that, I imagine it would work just fine. As for RAM upgrades, while there is nothing in the Chrome OS operating system to prevent you from upgrading the RAM, the RAM in most Chromebooks is soldered in and there are no empty RAM slots, so it's usually not physically possible to upgrade the RAM.
have Samsung chromebook and a HP laser jet P1102w it use to print flawlessly until Google stopped the service. I have followed all the instructions precisely with no luck at all. I also noticed on the HP site that there is no support for my model printer. So my question to you is if I buy a economical Windows computer will I have any problems using my existing printer
That should work fine. I actually have that printer as well and I can't get it to work with my Chromebook, but it does work perfectly with my Windows computers. However, it would probably be cheaper and easier to buy a cheap, modern printer that does work with Chrome OS and use it with your Chromebook, than to buy a cheap Windows computer to use with your old printer. Either way should be fine, but that's just my recommendation.
I don't have that printer, but I've just Googled it and it seems like it is not compatible. So you could give it a try, but I don't think it will work. Sorry.
Sorry, I don't have a Brother printer so I can't offer any specific advice. But if you follow the steps in this video you should hopefully be able to get it working.
If you manage to find the PPD file for it, you can click the browse button instead of selecting the brand and model, and then a file selector will appear for you to select the PPD file. But I've never had much luck with PPD files and after some quick Googleing, I can't seem to find one for your printer.
If you open the Settings app, search for "spell check" and click on "Spell check", you should see all the spell check settings. Then, at the bottom of that screen, there should be a switch that says "Spelling and grammar check". If you click on that switch to turn it on, spell check should turn back on. If the switch is already on, you might just need to turn it off, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on again. Or if that doesn't help, possibly try restarting your Chromebook. Hopefully one of these things will work to get it back on.
Sorry, but not having had any experience with that printer, there's not going to be much I can suggest. Apart from the standard thing of unplugging everything and plugging it back in again, turning everything off and on again (including your wifi router if printing wirelessly), and potentially removing the printer from your Chromebook and re-adding it.
That probably means the Destination is set to "Save as PDF" or "Save to Google Drive" instead of your printer. If you click on the drop down menu that says "Save as PDF" or "Save to Google Drive" and select your printer instead, the save button should turn into print. Hope this helps.
Why my printer prints gebbrish, it's a wired connection. I thought installing the printer installer will fix it but you can't run exe file on a Chromebook
You could try some basic things like removing it and adding it again, unplugging it and plugging it back in again, and turning both the printer and the Chromebook off and on again. You could also try printing something completely different to make sure it's not something going wrong with what you're printing. But if none of that helps, my guess would be the printer is not quite compatible with Chrome OS.
I have found that my Chromebook can not find the printer if I have not used it for a while. Then it comes back after trying to print any web page or document. This happens over and over. There is no need to keep connecting to the printer.
Hello, I would like to share with everyone a method thanks to which we can print both documents and pdfs without any problems on chromebooks. Yesterday I bought a chromebook and started looking for a way to make it as useful as possible... So, by trial and error, I found the NokoPrint application in the play store, which is able to use the printers that we added to chrome os to print documents. Just install it, choose the document you want to print, the printer and the format in which it is to be printed, and voila. My chromebook is HP Chrome 11 G6 EE and printer is Canon MX925.
Sorry, I don't have that printer so I can't really offer any specific information, but it looks new enough that it should work with Chrome OS, so if you follow along with one of the methods in the video, it should hopefuly work just fine.
Nevermind, I found another way to print. Thanks man!
Thank you very much Timmy! I've been have issues for months. Now I'm able to finally print!
You're welcome, I'm glad I could help! 👍

Timmy, I print 300 text pages several times a day, I'm curious, how well do Chromebooks spool pages for printing and do they have upgradeable RAM?
Wow, that's a lot of pages, I've never tried something like that before, but as long as you have a Chromebook with enough RAM and CPU power to handle all of that, I imagine it would work just fine.

Timmy… You are the man!
Thank you!
My chromebook doesn't have printing setting for some reason.
Thank you...all sorted now...Good info

Why are there no high print quality options on the Dell Chromebook 3100? I beg Timy's answer please help. greetings from Indonesia
I don't know for sure, but I would guess that's the highest quality the printer is capable of.
So my printer is Brother HL-2040 . Never detected or able to print. It's a usb printer. Any help is appreciated thanks
Sorry, it sounds like it's either not compatible or not working.
My printer is a Canon pixma mx492 year 2015 will it work with the Acer Chromebook 2021
I don't have that printer, but I've just Googled it and it seems like it is not compatible. So you could give it a try, but I don't think it will work. Sorry.
can you recommend an inexpensive ($100 range) printer for a samsung model XE350XBA chromebook
I've never used this printer, but the HP DeskJet 2755e seems well reviewed and is apparently compatible with Chrome OS:

That was very helpful Timmy thanks!
No problem, I'm glad you found it helpful! 👍
Very clear explanation of the process to connect and print

My Brother HL-2130 laser printer isn’t on the Chromebook drop-down menu 😢
That's a shame.
Thanks a lot timmy you helped out a lot by the way i just subscibed for you :)

If the printer is not in the list eg Canon MF3010, how can I add it via ppd file? Thanks 😊

Hi Timmy, I have a question, I was typing an E-mail then a letter and my spelling correct dont seems to work,! how can I put it back on? I need !

Why is the print button replaced with the saved button form my laptop
That probably means the Destination is set to "Save as PDF" or "Save to Google Drive" instead of your printer.

*i hope you're happy, shamelessly clickbaiting millions.*
It's not clickbait at all, this works very well with most printers.
But I'm guessing based on your comment, your printer was incompatible.
