Of course, climate is a huge influence in the performance of our cosmetics and setting sprays. Summers in the south, I think the heat and humidity always win!
HEYTOOTS, I think the Urban Decay original helps a ton in the humidity of the South. I live in NC, and my daughter got married in June. Luckily, the wedding wasn't outside, but the pictures were. I had my makeup done at 10:00am, and after it was done, I used the UD setting spray. I didn't have time to touch it the rest of the day. It was after 10:00pm when we got home, and I noticed when I was undressing, that my makeup hadn't budged all day! It looked great in all of the pictures, too. I would 100% recommend using the UD setting spray for anytime you need your makeup to really last all day!
@@daynad8104 I’ll remember that! I’m in GA and after attending the last outdoor wedding in the south I decided to take a stand! NEVER AGAIN!!! I may love ya but mosquitoes, heat, humidity and gravel parking lots that ruin one’s shoes?? NO THANKS!

I’ve been absolutely loving the Naked Sunday SPF50+ Hydrating Glow Mist. It sets all my makeup beautiful with a hint of glow. Hi Preeti. I wanted to clarify that I mixed up the Flower beauty sprays in my mind. The hydrating one DOES have alcohol but the luminous one doesn't. I just don't want to lead my dry girls astray!
I have oily skin ( it keeps me from getting to many wrinkles) so I like the Milani Make It Last setting spray. It has a fine mist that I like and it keeps my makeup on my face.
Your eyeshadow looks, so beautiful as it always does. I purchased the Harmony palette instead of ND Retro, because I have a lot of pinks. I would love to see a video with you using both palettes to create a look and check in after 8 hours to see how the shadows wore.

I was curious what other setting sprays would be good choices for dry, mature skin, so I appreciate this valuable information! Please help; I can't find your video on what concealer is best for the face that doesn't look polka dotted on my nose; I use Pat McGrath, but I've tried different primers with my Estee Lauder moisturing foundation in a tube, and Pat's doesn't work. Hi Kay. First I wanted to clarify that I mixed up the Flower beauty sprays in my mind. The hydrating one DOES have alcohol but the luminous one doesn't. I just don't want to lead my dry girls astray! I think the trick with the concealer is actually your primer first to fill in the pores. And on the nose you need one that has a great grip. Try using your regular primer & mix in a tiny amount of eyeshadow primer with it. Then use a very light coat over your nose, really press it into those pores, then your concealer or foundation. If that doesn't work, we can brainstorm again & try something else. Let me know please. I'd love to help further.

Hello girlfriend 😁 I too love the more hydrating setting sprays for my mature, (61), usually dry skin but as you said, unfortunately some of the drugstore, little less costly sprays can really come at our face with a bit of a powerful spray 😝 I’ve found what works for me is to hold the sprayer a wee bit further from face with my hand held fan in the other hand, seems to work for me 👍 love your channel & HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you & your family!!!

Love your content Mrs Melissa! Can u do a vlog type video about how you prep for filming? I'd like to know how long it takes you from the time you wake up to when you start the camera. I am really having trouble being on time with a total face, hair, clothes etc. Of course I'm disabled but I was able to when I was younger. Seems my brain loses time, I got in my makeup room with and hour to get ready and it feels like 10 mins passes and in not ready it's an hr later and scrambling to get out the door halfway dressed. Help!!!
Hello! Any suggestions for cake-iness for smile lines? It’s been happening to me recently. Should I add primer there? Avoid primer there? Avoid setting spray there? I’m lost and sad that one hour later it’s creases in my smile lines especially lines near nose 😞
If you feel like it's oily breaking through, I would use a mattifying primer there, then setting spray, (yep before foundation, lightly) then foundation, then light powder, then setting spray again. I know it sounds like a lot, but the key is keeping your layers super light & not too much foundation. If it doesn't work, please let me know & we'll brainstorm another idea for you.
Hi Melissa, Loved this video! I think two setting sprays might be the ticket, and I am glad I waited to order any prior to this. Who would you have this conversation with, but your girlfriend? Thank you so much Melissa, and Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Hi Melissa, I love CT Setting Spray, but have been using the Benefit lately, and think it works almost as well. I may have heard about it from you a while back. 🤔 I’d like to try out the Neutrogena. Thanks for the Rakuten giveaway ! ☺️💜☺️
i have a question. I am 59 and for the first time went in sephora and left with about $500 in sutff lol. they insisted i needed a setting spray, got ilia blue light setting spray and a primer, got ilia primer but i also bought the kosas cloud set which i love and was wondering if this would actually replace the ilia blue light setting spray? also are primers really worth it?
I love primers. But it really is personal preference. They create a barrier between your skincare & foundation so your foundation won't sink into your skin through the day. And I definitely don't think you need both sprays. If you love Kosas, stick with that one. ♥️
Good morning, Mrs M! HELP! Lol, every year for the past 18 years, I play Mrs Claus 🤶. A few years ago, I decided to make my own outfit. I wear a short cloak with white fur that rubs against my cheeks. I've tried all kinds of makeup from the drugstore to Ulta to Sephora and everywhere in between to find a non-transferable foundation and blush. The outfit can not be washed or dry cleaned, so now I need to try and find SOMETHING to get the makeup out of the white fur without touching the red velvety material 😮💨. Does anyone have any ideas about what to do about the makeup AND how to clean the fur?? I'm desperate 😪. Thank you in advance for any help.
Melissa, I really enjoy your chanel but the FLOWER Beauty hydrating spray has denatured alcohol listed as the 2nd ingredient so all of these are alcohol free...For this reason I decluttered mine.

Love these wonderful recommendations! I adore the CT one! Working through my third as well . HOWEVER, if you haven’t tried the physicians formula one yet, you are totally missing out my friend! It’s beautiful all the way down to the look of the bottle. It’s clear glass with a silver top. Love ya!
I will for sure try it Steph. Love ya
Thanks Melissa you look so pretty and I couldn’t help but notice your eyebrows today they look gorgeous. I love the CT setting spray and the morphe one continuous in black can is really nice perfect mist and I believe it has no alcohol. I’m gonna try the benefit one.
Lots of love ❤
Yes! What’s your secret on your eyebrows? So beautiful!
Hi Melissa! like iconic London glow spray. It leaves a dewy finish that I love. I’ll have to try the charlotte tilbury one soon because I’ve heard a lot of good things about that one. My fiancé bought me the Gucci setting spray. It’s nice bought now worth the $$. I hope you have a great holiday and a happy new year!! ❤
I'll have to take a peek at the Iconic London. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite brands. Thank you Beth
ok please know i love everything about you!!! im your biggest fan!! time for a Christmas or winter background. took advantage of the 30 dollars off at macys!
Aw, thanks so much Jill! Love u too!
Hi Melissa !! Thanks for the recommendations. I have the CT one and I love it . I want to try the benefit and the new Mac . I’ve have used the link but I’m not sure it’s taken me to the correct page as I’m in the UK 🇬🇧 so couldn’t sign up for some reason 🤷♀️🥰💕
I’m already a member of Rakuten. I love it. Hopefully it will still count for your giveaway
It sure will Monica! Best of luck!
Already have all the coupon code apps installed
Hi Melissa! I use a variety of different setting sprays but I tend to agree with you when it comes to the Benefit Pore~fessional. The mist is beautiful and definitely a favorite of mine. I have Rakuten and the extension on my laptop! It's a great way to earn cash and savings. Happy Holidays! 🎄
I'm so happy you already utilize Rakuten Sherry!
What does it smell like please?
your lipstick color is amazing on you!
Thank you Jill
Hello girlfriend 😁 I too love the more hydrating setting sprays for my mature, (61), usually dry skin but as you said, unfortunately some of the drugstore, little less costly sprays can really come at our face with a bit of a powerful spray 😝 I’ve found what works for me is to hold the sprayer a wee bit further from face with my hand held fan in the other hand, seems to work for me 👍 love your channel & HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you & your family!!!
Forgot to mention I lightly tap over afterwards with sponge.
Great tips my dear! Thank you!
Hi Melissa from Las Vegas this week,! Who goes to Vegas the 1st 9 days of December.....well turns out us and a crap ton of other people.! LOL
Oh and I used my CT flawless setting spray today and the makeup still looks fantastic!
Great video XO Melissa
Oh wow! Now that's a testimonial!!
What a great sponsorship
I was so excited Deborah! I couldn't believe it
Oh Melissa, I already have Rakuten and the extension on my laptop. Would love that $30 for us both too. I am so happy to learn about the different setting sprays because I have dry skin too. Thank you so very much for a great video and we love you too.🎅💐🌹🌸🌸💜
Hi Alice. I just had to correct myself on one of these. It's the Fliwer hydrating. It's got alcohol in it. I confused it with the luminous one. I'm so sorry. I hope I didn't mess up too badly!
@@MrsMelissaM Dear Melissa, in my book you can never mess up. you always do such a wonderful job letting us know about products best for us. I always enjoy your videos and we love you.💐💜
Love the review! Have been a member of Rakuten for several years. This time of the year they have the best percentages…shop mainly online and enjoy the rewards. I didn’t know Mac had come out with a new setting spray, will check it out. You look pretty as always.❤
I'm so happy you love Rakuten already Linda! Yay!
Does it smell nice?
What kind of eyeshadow are you using, and colors? Thank you, beautiful makeup!
This video was such a long time ago that I can't remember what I did. But here's the palette that I used linked for you. I always have them in the description box.

Help!!!
Oh my goodness Shannon. It probably takes me 3 to 6 hours to get ready to film a video. It takes a long long time!
Great Video
Hi Melissa,
Loved this video! I think two setting sprays might be the ticket, and I am glad I waited to order any prior to this. Who would you have this conversation with, but your girlfriend? Thank you so much Melissa, and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Hi sweetie. I wanted to clarify that I mixed up the Flower beauty sprays in my mind. The hydrating one DOES have alcohol but the luminous one doesn't. I just don't want to lead my dry girls astray!
Hi Melissa, I love CT Setting Spray, but have been using the Benefit lately, and think it works almost as well. I may have heard about it from you a while back. 🤔 I’d like to try out the Neutrogena. Thanks for the Rakuten giveaway ! ☺️💜☺️
I'm so excited for you all!
i have a question.
I love Rakuten.
Oh my goodness! You're so right, I just looked at it again!! It's the luminous one that doesn't! I must have gotten those mixed up in my head. Thanks so much for bringing it to my attention. I'll make sure I correct myself in a pinned comment. I'm so sorry!
@@MrsMelissaM Thats ok Melissa..Those of us in the 50s diner need to look out for one another...lol! We are in this together..Thank you for making the changes to let everyone beware of denatured alcohol...hehe
@@ts1358 thanks so much for being so understanding!
@@MrsMelissaM You're welcome!
Hi Melissa, My current favorite setting spray is The CT. I would like to try the Mac and Neutrogena. I’m curious if you still use the Catrice Prime & Fine Dewy? I rarely hear anyone talk about it anymore. Maybe it’s just an older product but wondering if there’s another reason. Thank you for the Rakuten offer! ❤️
Hi Tina. I used it up & just haven't repurchased because I have so many to use up. But it is a great one. I think they might have repackaged it.
@@MrsMelissaM Yes, they did. I love that one and found it because of you. It’s 50% off on their website now. ($6)
Which one actually makes your makeup last? Most meld your makeup, but they don’t actually make your makeup last. Without drying your face. Thanks!😊
Are most of these fragrance free?
Haha as I finished my setting spray this morning and I’m trying to figure out what to get. Great timing?
Hi Diana, I wanted to clarify that I mixed up the Flower beauty sprays in my mind. The hydrating one DOES have alcohol but the luminous one doesn't. I just don't want to lead my dry girls astray!
Mac prep n prime!!!!
Great one for sure Bridget!
Melissa, you are beautiful 😍
What's better Drop or Raquetan?
I haven't used drop, so I'm not sure.
With all the respect...can you tell me who did surgery on your face, your face look beautiful! I'm looking for one but I don't know who to trust. Thank you.
Hi there. I've not had surgery. I do use botox & have it done every 3 to 4 months. My injector is in Utah & she does an amazing job. Also, I do electro stimulus on my own & I use red light therapy at home.
Done and Done 😉
I cannot see the link
It's in the first comment here. And its in the description box too.
This is kind of misleading when I signed up it said I would get a $30 bonus but I got nothing
You have to make your first purchase & then the $30 goes directly into your cashback account. They pay that out every 3 months. Just log into your account. All the info is available there.
i use plexaderm, so i can't use a setting spray as it destroys the plexaderm
i just thought of this! i could cover my eyes 🤯
What is plexiderm?
Thank you for the recommendations. Can't wait to try them. I have extremely dry skin.

I already belong to Rakuten. I have saved a lot.
That's great Rhonda! Woohoo!
I can't stand the scent of the Urban Decay Setting Spray. So awful! 🤭🤢
Mrs. Melissa... I already signed up for Rakuten through you back several months ago.... does that still count??🩷💕🫶💕🩷 *edit*... Rakuten allowed me!!😊🎉 Neutrogena for the win!!💙🩵💦💋😘♥️💄👑💎
