Gordon shows some form of help to keep this restaurant going and the ungrateful owner pretty much say "No, i don't like this equipment that can help save my business. I want my shitty old equipment back." It's honestly infuriating how he acts when someone tries to help him and his failing restaurant.
Think about it, you've spent 20 years with a certain type of restaurant. In your mind, there's nothing wrong with the concept but it needs freshening up and revamping to be as successful as it used to be. Someone comes along and flings what you've spent so much time on in the trash and tells you to 180* change, pay hella expensive prices for fancy beef and cater to a completely different rich demographic. It's understandable why he's reluctant.

That’s UK TV in general, in terms of reality shows such as this and comedies, they are far more realistic and show the imperfections of life. With the greyer weather, pauses in dialogue and less cuts in dialogue.

Happened with the lobster kitchen in times square, owners reverted back to their old ways after a massive investment from Gordon and closed a few months after. They blamed it on Gordon despite the fact they were almost a million dollars in debt beforehand.

Underneath all the swearing and scowling, Gordon Ramsay is really kind and caring. He'll only tear strips off people to make them pull their head out of their arse, then he goes about helping them. Watch him on one of his kids cooking shows and he is the sweetest, loveliest, most encouraging mentor imaginable. And watching him with his kids, he's a big teddy bear.

Honestly, this is so heartening. This is a really good way to get everything "out on the table" without being criticized or being afraid because your manager is listening. Been the case for years, UK meat has always been known to be higher quality than US meat.
Except chickens. Chicken care in UK is a nightmare.
The horrible conditions that us slaughter cows are forced to live in are exactly what drives the prices down. This is why beef is more expensive in other countries.
Poobs don’t paint all of America the same. True in many places but remember the US is a huge place. I live in Colorado, cattle country, and much of the livestock here lives the life. Thousands of acres of basically untouched fields, and rolling hills, in valleys where they are allowed to roam freely. I’d venture that the best meat in the US rivals the best meat anywhere for the most part.
