Never seen Rob actually laugh out loud as often during an interview. Rory has always been an outstandingly funny and onpoint satirical comedian and impressionist. I've not seen better in my 64 years.
Rory seems so incredibly modest, and so keen to praise others. It's almost like he doesn't realise how good he has been for so many years. For a long, long time, he was absolutely the best in the business.
Fabulous interview Rob. I confess to forgetting how clever Rory Bremner is. His impersonations might not be quite as "foresnsic" as either Steve (Coogan) or Rob himslelf for that matter, but his range exceeds the pair of them. His observational writing is top drawer and he's actually nailed Starmer's 'thinking' as much as the voice. Brilliant, lets see more of Rory (and more of these two together if possible).
For years I mistakenly thought Mike Yarwood was was dead when he was still alive. Now he actually is dead but I had no idea, I thought he was still alive.
I so miss Bremner, Bird and Fortune. Of course John Bird and John Fortune are both gone now, but I'd love to see a new series such as that with Bremner.
saw Rory perform live at the HK Football Club in Hong Kong-must have been @ 1988-have never laughed so much...he was superb..."no need to run for that"
I think an impression stand-off between these two would be great. Bremner was at the top of the game for a while, with Bird and Fortune. Ainsley Harriot with the eye balls was hilarious. Chris Barrie next year??
Rory is great, I feel he should have an hour on BBC1 every week. Strange how little there is to watch on the BBC now. I've always thought the license fee was good value, until the last few years, when it becomes harder to find anything worth watching. Obviously WILTY is an exception, almost worth the licence fee alone, but I do crave more of that ilk.
*Si manifique!* Just a delight, thank you both. I did a Faulty Towers show at the Fringe in, I think, 2009. By the time the show had gotten there - much touring in Aus, two Melbourne Comedy Festivals and an Adelaide Fringe - I had Basil down. I had the manner of his voice, I wasn't going for vocal impersonation, but I absolutely had the physicality of the character. I knew that period of Cleese's life so, so well. But to hear (and see!) Rory do JC-as-we-have-him-now, you didn't just have the measure of the man, but also his inner thigh. Many thanks, lads! 😄
That would be because I did a hoax phone call for Comic Relief as Melvyn Bragg asking Terry to feature in a South Bank Show Special on Terry Christian. Hook, line and sinker.
Good stuff, but it's worth pointing out that the EU money UK towns got, was our money Europe had taken, and given back, but not before skimming a big percentage off to run the unaccountable bureaucracy.
saw The Joan Collins Fan Club's first tour after Fanny retired. Felt half the audience had come just to see Julian's Fanny. Are you getting Julian on soon Rob?
Dont think people under 50 realise how famous mike yarwood and stanley baxter were...His christmas special would get 25 million viewers, and considering hed done nothing wrong, his sudden downfall mustve been as bizzarre to him as it was personally devastating.
@nickwyatt9498 Indeed. He couldn't help himself though could he? I mean it was only nearly a decade ago. Probably still stings when he's trying to do a few Italian phrases when on holiday in Chianti shire.
Oh my god 🤦🏼 check ya head dude. This is what he's known for. I'd think he'd find it a bit strange if an interviewee said to him, I'm gonna interview you but can ya possibly leave out the impressions? Crazy
@@halcyondaystunes That's not what I said in the slightest. I expect it in interviews. I love his impressions. But when on panel shows, like early mock the week and HIGNFY etc. it feels forced.
If you don’t know the U.K. was the second largest gifter to the EU, then you need to Educate yourself. The rebate the U.K. and a few others received was only to be spent on EU projects. Every penny that can from the EU was from money we already gifted to them.
@@classicraceruk1337 quite simply, the richest Countries paid the most in contributions. Everyone paid the same percentage. The benefits of being in the EU for our economy, far outweighed contributions. That’s why the UK is struggling.
To make this clear many countries pay 0 into the EU pot. The money we receive back from the EU in Payments for anything is just returning the money we paid in. What anyone else paid in has nothing to do with it.
Never seen Rob actually laugh out loud as often during an interview. Rory has always been an outstandingly funny and onpoint satirical comedian and impressionist. I've not seen better in my 64 years.
I've never seen Rob not pull out his own impersonations.
Love seeing Rob laugh so hard! ❤
How wonderful to hear these two geniuses reminiscing and chatting. Priceless, gentlemen.
More of Rory please 😊
Rory seems so incredibly modest, and so keen to praise others. It's almost like he doesn't realise how good he has been for so many years. For a long, long time, he was absolutely the best in the business.
He truly is still the Master...not enough TV nowadays & I don't know why not. Brilliant show guys...not long enough imo 👏
BRILLLLL!!! watching from Australia! Thanks Mr Brydon, I watch every episode! God it lifts my spirits! xx
Pure Comedy Gold. Thank you, gentlemen. You had me in tears of laughter. Have a blessed Christmas 🙏
Genius, just genius - still laughing 😂
I laughed out loud so many times listening to this. Comedy gold.
Get this man back on ASAP.
I agree!
Brilliant interview. Rory is brilliant. Loved Robs asthmatic laugh at his Keir starma at 7:43 😂
Fantastic episode. I could watch this on repeat all day.
To effortlessly make a fellow comedian belly laugh so consistently tells you all you need to know about the genius of Rory Bremner 😂😂
Superb! Couldn’t stop laughing. The finest Impressionist this Country has ever had.😂😂😂
I could listen to them talk for days. Wonderful stuff!
This is just so good to watch - thank you very much Rob
Thank you for a delightful interview Rob. Rory is just awesome...and his Cleese impression? Unbelievable.
Lovely bloke, incredible talent.
What a joy! Rob the skilled sheepdog joyously and gently marshalling Rory's many beautifully presented sheep.
It was a joy to watch this interview ❤😂
Brilliant interview Rob, thoroughly enjoyable throughout and some outstanding impressions 👍
Amazing, I need more Bremner, so good 😂
What a lovely bloke Rory is
Beautiful, Ty both

New fave.. legendary interview and history 🎉
He's still got it, love Rory 😅
Another 30 mins please !
Excellent gents. A wonderful watch.
What a wonderful half an hour that was
Part 2 this was gold ❤❤
Best interview yet , went in two minutes , way too fast , thank you 👍
I really enjoyed the mutual respect here, but I most enjoyed the slogan for Tampax. I'm not proud of it, but that's the way it is. 😂
Brydon and Bremner class act
lovely stuff once again
lovely hearing them talk of mike yarwood
I never knew I needed to hear someone do an impression of Tony Hawks but there it was - superb. Didn't even use a skateboard.
Yes Rob , he's a master , he does a mean William Hague . Don't die Rory just keep living , so talented
👏👏👏👏👏💖
Superb.
For years I mistakenly thought Mike Yarwood was was dead when he was still alive. Now he actually is dead but I had no idea, I thought he was still alive.
Part 2 pls. Felt like we barely scratched the surface.
We all miss those days, Rory. Great to see you again.
Thank you, Mark!
Rory's impression of the BBC deciding what the whole country should vote for in the EU referendum was spot on.
Wonderful

really great

Chris Barrie next year??
it's a crime that the youtube algorithm never showed me this channel even though i've been binging wilty videos for months
Beautiful
Lovely.
James Kettle. A name we see on so many credits nowadays . Especially on Radio 4, and yet an enigma.
he once did ken Bruce radio show 😂😊
The Elon Musk on Dead Ringers is the best bar none
That was so funny, not laughed like this for ages, my son was asking me what I was watching.😂 can’t wait for Rory doing the Starmer/Trump meeting.
Wow,….. this was tremendous

Thing is... Cleese didn't vote Leave.
Nice to see Rory again...

S.U.P.E.R.B. Geniuses at work.
The only part I didn't like was the bit when it ended.
Rob how about getting Bobby Davro on a interview 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Used to like Bobby, he's still funny
Part 2 please.....
Be honest, you're not interested in Rory's personal anecdotes. You're here for the impressions.
Sorry what? THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! Greetings from Canuckia
The greatest political impressionist
In his autobiography, Terry Christian says Rory Bremner was one of the nastiest people he ever worked with (along with Mark Lamarr).
That would be because I did a hoax phone call for Comic Relief as Melvyn Bragg asking Terry to feature in a South Bank Show Special on Terry Christian. Hook, line and sinker.
@@rorybremner617 Incorrect. And you're not Rory Bremner.
Terry Christian 😂😂😂

Found Rory's anecdote of final email interaction with John Bird poignant. Satire giants.
You’ve neglected your hair a bit today rob now pull yourself together man.
👍👍

Trying to work out if Brydon is for Labour or Tories...
Get Phil Cool on.
phil cool is 72. and is practically immobile
@@markdaly1903 He's got his own channel and posted on it 2 months ago.
Rory is morphing in to Lindsey buckingham
Rorys voice sounds shot
Why does he hide his Scottish accent? Ashamed?
Couple of luvvies discussing Brexit😮
Brexit’s mentioned precisely ONCE in passing in the whole interview. You people are so easy.

Love Rory but I've always felt sorry for him on panel shows, they bring him on to do impressions like a performing monkey.
That is his job, after all.
@paulshouse524 But it just seems forced at times, he's a fine guest without having special segments.

No projects were done with European money. The U.K. tax payer paid it from our grossly obscene contribution.
Is that right, Nigel.
We would have never seen any of it thanks to the Tory goverment.
