Legacy Classic Trucks, of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is renowned for their restoration vehicles in the Mopar world, with their Dodge Power Wagons and Jeep Scramblers. Legacy has decided to branch out and work their off-road magic on an all-but forgotten Chevrolet truck, the 1955-1959 Napco. So, what is possible when an engineering and restoration firm that refuses to accept mediocrity takes on this classic Chevy truck? Legacy invited us out to Ojai, California to find out.

Did the driver not realize this truck has a five speed transmission? I didn't notice him ever getting into top gear. With 4:11 gearing that truck must have been roaring going down the road in third and fourth. I guess that's a testament to how quiet the cab is.

Nah, the gearing was fine given the conditions. Cruising around town in 3rd and 4th kept the motor in the sweet spot that LS torque.

I would never let this guy ride my truck, he's like that friend that takes you shit for a spin and recks it, he is pushing every gear like it's his truck, you can tell that the owner is worried about the way he is driving. Besides that awesome video, the truck is looking awesome and definitely got some guts!!!!!
