Hey Rick.Good to see theres more guys like me.Been a truck guy almost all my life and im 63.Bought my first Napco in Colstrip Montana. My wife called her Old Red.short bed ,small window,4 speed 235 six, stearing was a lil loose but drove to crater lake every year and worked are way to Los Angeles and back threw West Yellowstone.Still have a 57 GMC Big window.Like to find a Napco to put under her.Didnt take much to make my wife {Janie}happy too.Keep the vidios going.Like to meet you someday
I'm here in Montana and to be honest I had never heard of a Napco until a few days ago. Now it's at the top of my list. I recently picked up a 65 Travelall, and I must have caught some sort of classic car virus or something. Granted, I've always preferred older cars but this is getting ridiculous!
Hi Rick , here in Pennsylvania , this truck would be worth $10.000 or so . I have been wanting an old truck just like this one for many years now . you have so many nice models sitting around . its nice to know someone like yourself works and sells these old trucks . Thank You for sharing. Ray in Pa.
Izzy Reichmuth Sorry it took so long to respond. Never realized I was getting messages on these until recently. Thank you for the encouragement and Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Classic Truck Rescue I would really loved the see your new place and were actually located at so I can tell all my friends where to get awesome truck parts at
Awesome old girl, I think its great that you help people turn their lives around and save these great old trucks. @josh that noise is an exhaust leak and possibly needing a valve adjustment due to solid lifters. There's no need for your negative comments.
+Isaac Smith Yeah, Jamie and I both really liked that old '57 GMC. Perhaps we'll be in a position to keep one of the nicer 4x4s for her pretty soon. Just one of the sacrifices that had to be made in order to get where we are trying to go. Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
Why dose the front left indicator light come on when you press the brakes? I would love to have one of those, how much would I be looking at to get one? Aussie.
1955-1959 Chevy and GMC trucks have been steadily climbing in value for the past 15-years. A fully-restored example can run anywhere from 12-50K. -Rick
G'day Rick, if you look at 12.54 & 13.08 you can see the front left indicator light come on when you use the brakes,.... You may have a crossed connection or short. I think I may now have seen 85-90% of your rescue vids now,...
I love the tire size and height of the truck in the vid. By chance do you recall how high the truck was lifted?? Or was this stock height with bigger tires?
M Elz Sorry it took so long to respond. Never realized I was getting messages on these until recently. You can reach me at rmaylender@hotmail.com if you are still looking for a Napco, that one sold the day after I made the video. and Thanks Fer Watchin' -Rick
The only difference between the interior of a 1956 and 1957 GMC is that the 56 has a flat steering wheel and the 57 has a "dished" steering wheel. 57 Grill has the "Bumper Bullets" spaced wider and a grill made up of multiple horizontal bars. 56 Grill has the big solid chrome "Upper Bumper" connected to the top of the Bumper bullets with the grill emblem "Floating" in the center. Hang on to your 56...worth much-more than a 56 Chevy truck. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
