For whatever reason, i didn't have too many late game resets. Maybe around 5 resets. Which isn't too bad for a 1 hour game. The first level had a lot of resets though. I remember going through an entire day of attempts (at least 4-5 hours) without getting past the first level.

Your crowd management and your ability to resist the "punch greed" and be patient with attacks, are why I could never do something like this. I always struggle with being surrounded, and I always get greedy with my attacks and try to get that "one more hit" that always bites me in the ass. This run is absolutely gorgeous. The precision, the confidence without over-extending... This kind of thing makes me want to stop maintaining and actually improve my own skills. Not that I think I could compete with this, but still.
@@TheSCPStudio Well I mean, knowing the problem is only the first step. The real hard part is literally reprogramming your instincts to stop the "punch greed" That's exactly why we hardly ever see intermediate Sekiro players use the Mikiri Counter on thrust attacks even though it is objectively better.
It's all about just learning to feel when the game thinks you've been focusing on one guy for too long and starts making the other guys attack you from behind. When you get it down it'll be easy to just either switch to the next guy or dispatch him and focus on the one your hitting before. Comes with experience and it's not like playing this awesome game is a chore anyway :)
Hey man just wanted to say you’ve inspired me to try beating the game without taking any damage and even though I played on disciple difficulty and not in one segment I’m proud to say I did it. Thanks for showing me even the impossible can be achieved one step at a time!

This would have taken chip damage if I was bare handed, but blocking with a weapon keeps you safe from chip. That would have been run over. Since I usually take that phase 2 bare handed, I was cringeing at myself for getting through it essentially with luck. Thanks for watching!
I hadn't noticed how beautiful the game is or how well designed the levels are. The theming of elements like wind, fire, and water throughout each stage are really well done. All the verticality and leaping between buildings in the wind level, the idea of lights glowing in the dark giving way to the fire within in the second level, the flowing imagery and cold lighting of the water museum, it's all really cool to see when you aren't desperately trying to survive. Thanks for putting on such a great show of skill with this video, it makes it easy to appreciate all the aspects of this game.
There is no wind or air element. You’re probably talking about the first mission, which would correspond to wood. The others are metal and earth, corresponding to the tower and the sanctuary respectively. These five elements are from the Daoist tradition, which is a kind of religion and/or philosophy, depending on how it’s practiced, that comes from China.
