@@bassofone1 It looks like he’s likely using an AKAI EWI 4000 (or maybe 5000). I personally play the NuRAD, which is a handmade, boutique EWI. I previously played AKAI EWIs. The main thing to know is that the 5000 and Solo models have a sample-based internal synth, and the prior models have a virtual analog built in synth. The EWI USB is the only one with no built-in synth. Since they’re MIDI controllers, you can use them to play most any synth, software or hardware. I’m not sure if he’s playing the internal synth here or controlling an external one. If I were recommending one to get started, I think I’d say go with either the 5000 or the Solo. They’re more modern and have some nice newer features. If you want the analog synth sounds, pick up a an inexpensive virtual analog software synth to go with it. 😁
