@@kianatheintrovert 11:17 Im not sure if it’s jeongyeon’s chose to dress like that but i think she dresses like like that because of the haters calling her fat (which she is not fat in my opinion.) Yes, she gained weight but that is because of her going on hiatus (hiatus means going on a temporary break.) she went on hiatus because of a mental illness like anxiety, she also injured her neck and had to have another break.

From Jeongyeon's neck injury, part of the medical stuff in order to heal up required at least one type of Steroid. Even with medical supervision, steroids can cause people to gain weight. She really was working very hard to keep the weight off. But if she keeps having to take that medication in order to not hurt all the time, she will never be able to lose the weight.
Of course the damned trolls don't care about any of that; they just want everybody else to be just as F'ing miserable as the trolls themselves are. So OF COURSE they have to pick on somebody for something that cannot be helped; that's the very definition of Bullying.
@@iluvstatz I also heard that a particular medicine she is taking makes her gain weight. But I feel like Jeongyeon is in a point in her career where she has the right to eat what she wants and still be healthy

After her hiatus she has been covered more because she gained weight, she has also said that she thinks she let go of herself which is really sad because she looks just as good. Jeongyeon is trying to love herself so I think it’s her choice to not wear revealing clothes. She likes wearing baggy and masculine clothes everyday. Plus, I imagine it must be difficult to step out of your comfort zone after getting hate and disrespect over your body by kpop stans. She still gets hate too: Two popular streamers said mean things about her and one of them went to their concert in Brazil this year and shouted the word “fat” when she was on the screen. This hater got floor tickets and near the stage too. However, despite all that, I see a lot of improvement🥺 Jeongyeon seems much more happy and confident with herself than she did in 2021 and that makes me so happy
11:44 Yeahhh it's always been her style to wear something more baggy or covered up (jacket/ coat/ long pants) but previously they definitely styled her differently, she'd show more skin & doing fine with something sexier just like the others. But after her hiatus dealing with anxiety & herniated disc, she's been gaining weight fast because of the medication. Since then their stylist definitely tried to cover her up more & would always make her wear a corset... Which can really be exhausting & difficult to dance hard & singing live well in as it compresses your abdomen. Someone pointed out on X with a screenshot from this MV that even the MV editor photoshoped some parts to make Jeongyeon's waist looks smaller. 😀 Its the beauty standard pressure y'all but no one's ready for that conversation.
They do have more freedom in choosing their styles/ concept now but still I think she's also becoming self aware because of the hate comments she's been getting about her weight now.
it was so sad when jeongyeon said she “let go of herself” during one of those videos with kids… it’s not like she gained weight from eating, which would’ve also been fine, but the medication has a side effect of weight gain like you said. people keep hating but she’s clearly in shape going on tour and dancing/singing for multiple hours on end. if you compare her to her official comeback in talk that talk era (2022), she’s obviously also lost some weight, which she didn’t need to do to begin with but i’m proud of her for it. she’s healthy the way she is and people need to stop hating. happy this channel is very respectful on the matter

Jeong choses it, but also if you notice since one of her surgeries she has back braces worked into her costumes. It is a common need to have back support after spinal surgery. As a nurse and a seamstress I instantly saw her back support. It makes her look more bulky, but it keeps her spine and neck in alignment decreasing the amount of movement, force and stress, which lowers her risk of injury. It’s boning or well placed and designed corsets. They are definitely doing a great job giving her the ability to move around and perform while protecting her spine from any more injuries. Remember she’s already had two surgeries back to back with multiple minor procedures before that.

But also at 1:23 she is showing her legs, which if im not wrong, the first tine she shows her full legs since her hiatus so im not sure😅

jeongyeon has always covered herself up more. the only time we saw her with something more revealing was her first solo stage. i know she doesn’t like sleeveless tops so we rarely see her with something sleeveless on lol. she shows a little skin sometimes though! she just doesn’t show her full arms lol
she does show legs and even cleavage sometimes. at the start of this music video, she had her legs out! and her tour outfits are really good, you should look at those!
i think her stylists could do a better job sometimes though. they always put her in a big belt or a corset and it doesn’t look comfortable. some of her outfits are too tight and she even had scratches on her arms from one of them. they limit her dancing a lot with the outfits they give her. her outfits are a LOT better than anything pre more & more era though. her old outfits used to be just shorts and a top
of all the parts of her body, her legs are still the most beautiful

she said that once and it was because her outfits were ugly😭 she didn’t even have clothes that covered her up during that era (feel special). i’d wish for outfits like momo too if i got those outfits she got too. now she gets cute outfits that cover her up without being ugly
