Did the perfect boy perm on my grandson. His hair is straight. Used gray and pink rods with Quantum perm in gray box. Turned out perfect!

if you do the sleep with damp hair use mousse then put the curlers in and then use frizz protection to not have frizz

I think I'm gonna try this. The bottom half of my hair is naturally curly like that, but the top half is just barely wavy, so I keep struggling with the top half whenever I style my hair. Doing this on just the top of my hair might help me get the look that I want. Those curling rods look very neat and easy to use compared to most that I've seen on the market. I'm considering getting a real perm but this might be a good thing to try first. My hair is quite long, almost shoulder length, maybe 6-7 inches.

How is this and a Korean perm different? I’ve been hearing about Korean perm a lot lately. Would love to see a video of a Korean perm for men
korean perm is not different, it's just perming hair into a korean hairstyle shape. So usually the partings and the parts you want to curve/wave/curl. Instead of doing the whole hair curly, you just choose which individual parts
I already have a loose wave in my hair and just want to tighten up the wave any ideas. I don't like using chemicals on my hair. Also I can style my hair without hair products.

How long do I have to leave my hair alone like how many days and I shouldn't put anything right
Literally, as soon as my hair gets too much humidity, it will start straightening itself back out and I have to constantly keep serum in my hair because it’s naturally so frizzy so I don’t want to use the chemicals I bought if there’s possibly some other product that has the ability to boost curls and moisturize at the same time. Does anybody know of anything like that?
Hi can you please do videos on different hairstyles for guys with really dry and rough wavy hair and how to manage it without using frequently hot stuff like the straightner or blowdrying because it damages the hair! Like just how to handle it and different hairstyles to show to our barbers . (like really dry and frizzy hair not the ones on manequins where they say their hair is wavy but isn't )

I have a perm so my hair is very dry and frizzy without product in it but I would recommend putting leave in conditioner in your hair after you take a shower while your hair is still wet, also when drying your hair use a dirty t shirt as substitute to a towel because it helps with the frizz. not sure how much this will help you but it helps me and I understand what you mean
You don't have to use a hair dryer, you can let it dry on it's own.

Its an attachment that you can put on the blow drier, it might be frizzier without it, but you could on low air speed probably. I'm not a hair stylist tho, this is just my experience.

Question, if I do this on wet hair and leave it over night, could I use sea salt spray or a hair clay to keep it in place? As long as it last a whole day I’ll be fine.
It’s better if u get a perm solution and leave it wet and the perm rods on for 2-3 hours then take it off and rinse ur hair a little bit then don’t shower for 2 days , it should last a long time

use a stronger type of perm formula it depends how think or thin / long or short your hair is. ask a professional!
If it washes out after a single wash then it isn't a perm? The title How to Perm your Own Hair is rather misleading since it's not a perm.

People with straight hair always want curly hair and often folks with curly hair want straight hair but it seems to becoming trendy to have curly ones
messy hair looks more voluminous and just gives people more charm

It will give you curls but volume it might not. Thick hair tends to hold perms the best and yields the best results but I have also seen good results with thin hair. Maybe perm + a volumizer product, do research to find what would be best for your hair. Sorry for the very late reply I hope my comment still helped

He showing you how to have the look without going through the chemical process of having a perm. This will not damage your hair. Yes it washes out, advantage of a teenager not liking it two days later… they can take a shower. 😉

How about straight perm? I need to hide my "M" hairline and am trying to perm it going diagonally down. Is that possible?
The chemicals in the perm work by permanently fixing the hair that it comes in contact with into the position that you have it set in, that is why they have the hair in rollers in order to permanently give the hair a curl. The same logic should be able to apply to straight hair, look into Japanese permanent hair straightening and do a lot of research and you should be able to perm your hair straight. However this can eliminate volume in your hair so be very careful and do a lot of research and maybe consider getting it done professionally if you can afford it. With that being said the M hairline you're describing is probably a widow's peak with maybe some receding hairline, covering that could make you look younger but it could also make you look more feminine so if you are wanting to look younger then proceed, but if that is not your goal and you want to look older and/or more masculine then maybe consider embracing your M shaped hairline

You don't, you have to redo it. Unless your hair is naturally curly getting it wet like that will straighten it out into it's natural state. You can buy products or have a shower cap when you shower to protect it. But women wash their hair once a week sometimes not at all. One because it prevents them from having to redo their hairstyle, and also they have a lot of hair that takes forever to dry. Your hair isn't going to die from not being washed, just clean the rest of you.

Guys trust me. I got straight hair and i did it. I thought curly will look good. It is looking good but. U will burn ur hair and it will look trashy. Ur hair will become brighter and dry as hell. Better be happy if u have natural straight hair
i just use little hair rubber bands without like blowdrying stuff i just make them up when i get out of the shower and keep it like 8 hours then when i take them off i use a product to make it stay more and it doesnt really damage your hair

@@mikeanello8901 wet hair, wash hair twice with shampoo, no conditioner. I don’t think it would be possible to do it on dry hair. Do you have anyone to help you, putting rollers in by yourself would be kinda difficult

@@mikeanello8901 yeah maybe try the rollers in wet hair and take them out once they are dry, just to see if you like the result and then do it with the actual perm equipment. I’d make sure you also use plenty of the perm solution. Usually one neutraliser and wave isn’t enough. I had to use two of each for my hair, just to be in the safe side. Also keep a wet cloth with you cause if the solution goes in your eyes it will sting a little bit. Also the solution smells so bad

@@meditegrub5811 a perm is (semi) *perm*anent. this is just a way to curl your hair w/o a curling iron. women do this all the time, and will often just leave the curling rods in over night.
