A few things I didn't mention, this stop of Brick Fest Live did feature Meet & Greet opportunities with Manny from LEGO Masters Season 1.
As far as the prices for what I bought, the Simpsons bags were $10 each, War Machine was $12.99, and the Disney CMF series was $8.99, so a definite markup from retail prices.
Also, I know that Julius Caesar is Roman, not Greek hahaha.

Thank you! I knew I could Google but i was curious who the Simpsons fans are in my audience hahaha
for the amount of effort put into this video you are very underrated hope you reach 50k+ soon
That means the utmost to me, thank you so much for saying so! I'm gonna keep working 💪
Agreed!
@@NewBrickertonI’m reporting you and Brickfest to the Lego Legal Team
@@Tempvo lmao why you reporting me 😂
@@NewBrickerton😂
I attended brickfest in Washington the other day with my son and it was a joke. Even my 11 year old son was disappointed. The life sized figures and the few custom builds were pretty cool but it's basically for much younger kids. The only thing good about the VIP pass is meeting Nestor and Manny. Nestor is pretty cool guy and told me that he normally doesn't allow any beard competition at brickfest ) I have a beard). He's a good character and he was my favorite from season 1! However I did learn that LEGO is not associated with brickfest at all. It was an experience that I won't do again and shelling the money for it was not worth it. Save your money and go to Legoland instead.
wait..Lego is NOT associated? well, at least i can say I Beignet, done that! It was a slogon on a Beignet ornament i picked up on a heat wave vacay to Nawlins this past June.
@@sooofunny37 not through brickfest. More of an off brand of Lego advertising bs. It's a disappointment of a festival since it's not sponsored by Lego at all. It's not worth the money. Lego has nothing to do with it
@@sooofunny37 brickfest can sell the Legos just like anyone else who hosts a show but it'll probably be a sad experience. Brickfest pays for the the Lego sets and sells them at 10-20$ more at these festivals. It's a joke
So... what if I'm in South Carolina and can't afford to go to Legoland?
Legoland is like 100$+ per person, I paid 80$ for 5 vip tickets…
I attended the one in Birmingham,Alabama in early December. It was pretty lame. Just many tables with bricks for kids to build . Some Star Wars kits for sale. Then you had to buy the plans to make some figure heads and faces and you could get a prize and some life size works of art. But no home built models of ships, planes, Star Wars destroyers etc and their creators talking about how and why they made them .😮
The Simpson dog is Santa's little helper😂
Satans......it's Satan's little helper
@@americanmaceire1743 no, it is Santa's Little Helper.
@@joew9725 I've seen every episode......Bart named him.....and not Santa
@@americanmaceire1743 the dog was referred as "Satan's Little Helper" in one episode where they took him to a trainer, the training misread his tag.
It's Santa's little helper and Martin Prince, Jr.
The dog is “Santa’s Little Helper” (the one with Maggie)
Thank you for tagging me and my Brick Fest vlog and showing it in the video!
No problem, sorry it was a few days late after I posted. I am glad you saw it. I really enjoyed your vlog!
Thank you for the information... very useful for deciding whether to take a little kid.
I had a chance to go. There was one in my state but I get overwhelmed due too my autism. I also heard it wasn't for adults. The Facebook reviews weren't too good. The dog is Santa's little helper. I'm not sure who the other kid is.
Thank you for helping me identify the dog!! I think some Brick Fest events are better than others.
Went to the Pasadena event in CA. First off, I disagree on the price of admission, the most was just...building with random bricks. Can do that at home for free or go out and buy a worthwhile set. There were 0 vendors except the event vendor as you mentioned, the mocs and creations severely lacked, and the entire event was as if everything was thrown together last minute in a small room. Went to the 2018 event and it was 10x whatever this year was. True shame.
I'm sorry to hear that. I tried to be charitable to them in my video, but it sucks that so many ppl are disappointed by their event!
Hoping the Raleigh VIP experience is better as $30 per person could get me a very nice snow crab din-din@Red Blobster.
@@sooofunny37VIP is $50 a person in Nashville
Thank you for the video. I bought tickets for my boys months ago and the day is finally here tomorrow. I wasn't %100 sure what to expect but honestly it's exactly what I thought. Its going to be a fun filled day for us tomorrow. Your video was really helpful thank you for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you and the boys have fun!
Did your boys enjoy it? How old are they?
This is literally the first review I’ve seen of Brick Fest Live that didn’t say it was a total scam. I’ll be going with the 1,000s of horrible reviews over this one.
Sometimes it feels cursed to live in Asia (U.S got all the cool lego evets)
I attend the brick fest in San Mateo, CA. I’ve gone twice. Both times I was not impressed!! I go for the vendors, which is WEAK also.😩 I like Bricks By The Bay the best!
Dang even in CA they don't have many vendors? Seems really weird. Bricks by the Bay sounds awesome!
Thanks for the video and information. Going at the end of this month here in San Diego. I was debating if I wanted the vip but doesn’t look like anything special. By the way Bart’s dog is Santa’s little helper and Martin is the other one
Yeah i didn't mention the VIP but I think all you really get is a lanyard and a custom build of the Brick Fest mascot
Did you get VIP? If so, was it worth it?
I've heard that post covid third party vendors at brickfest are no longer a thing and you're stuck with their "official store." You're right that it does vary from place to place - I've heard that Philly is pretty much the only one with a significant amount of MOCs and engagement with the AFOL community - it seems like they have lost the goodwill of most AFOLs and LUGs around the country. This will be my second year at Brickfair in VA, first time exhibiting, and it is a wonderful experience with tons of exhibitors and vendors as well as activities for kids.
Thanks for the review, I’m thinking about going in Birmingham, AL.
Mine would be one where you can buy figures and actually see cool mocs
i love reading yelp reviews foe this event because theyre all so bad LOL dont spend ur money here
Yeah can't really argue with that if you don't know if there will be vendors. It's great for kids but not AFOLs, in my opinion.
Thanks for this! I was considering taking my 10yr daughter and nephew in Portland, but their website was useless. I think we might stick to Rose City Comic Con!
You made a good choice, I went to breakfast in Portland Oregon and it was nothing but a disappointment. My 8-year-old son is very disappointed that his reward was so bad.
I wanted to take my son to this because there isn't anything to do where I live (everything is hours away) and I can't afford to fly to some other convention out of state. But alas, their rating on the BBB made me change my mind. And the reviews on Facebook, yelp, reddit and other places solidified my decision. It appears to be a big scam. $40 for VIP that gives you an "exclusive" build that I read is very small, under 10 pieces. Another $30 + (if you want the option) for only 3 blind bags that you dont even get when you show up. They are mailed to you. And $15 for "ticket protector" in case you need a refund (meaning if you miss the event you can't get a refund unless you paid an extra $15).
I think I'll take him to the zoo instead, that is free and I only have to pay $10 to see the sea lion show, the 4d theatre and ride the train. And we can have a picnic in the park next to it. I may seem frugal but I don't get why people pay so much for tiny brick toys or to see other people playing with tiny brick toys. 🤷♀️
The dog is Santa’s little helper and the boys name is Martin
Christchurch brick show NewZealand 8th and 9th July
Awesome, I will hopefully make it to NZ some day!
Great vid, the production quality of your vids is fantastic. Also the tree behind your right shoulder looks amazing. I would be keen on a vid on that so I can try copy that too 🙂
Thanks so much Jace! You mean a video for tips on increasing production value? I've always wanted to do that but wasn't sure if people would like it. Maybe I will 🤔😉
Or you mean the tree? I can always do that too hahaha
Yes the tree that would be great, also I would watch a vid on tips on increasing production value. I think you could make a vid about paint drying interesting ha ha 🙂
@@beetlejace2917 That's really kind my friend. I will accept that challenge. And okay sure! I would love to make a vid on the tree and increasing production value. I used to have a real bonsai tree (it died) but this one is actually a fake one from Target 😁
My 8 year old hated it. He was bored the whole time. We went in Portland Oregon. Just disappointed the whole time, the staff couldn't even give instructions on what to do at the different build sections. And as you walk in to build you see some meth head pulling apart people's art to make more legos for us to use. Why build if they just destroy it?
Just bought tickets for Pleasanton event and now I regret... should've research before buying 4 tickets t

Awesome! I've got friends in NC, I need to make an excuse to get out there and go to BrickUniverse haha. I hadn't heard of that before

Gotta love the conventions! The children and sickness is no joke. Avoid that "con crud"!!
Hahaha yes dude. Con crud. Thanks for watching bro!
gonna pack the hand sani for sure
This video was coool! Btw Micheal I hope you hit 30k soon and so on.🎉❤
The builds in da vid are insane 😮
Thanks for watching naveed!!
Thanks for the review! As someone who doesn’t have kids, I think I’ll skip this one and go to a bigger convention.
I hope you get more subscribers! Very well put together video!
Thank you! :)
the population of Denver (711,463) vs KC (508,394) may be slightly larger but the show was about the same.
Good to know it wasn't a unique experience!
I’m supposed to go Tomorrow so I will say how it is
How’d it go?
Ok, everyone was fucking expensive though got this darth vader key chain so I would say like 4.5/10 not THAT bad
Love it, gonna have to take novie next year
Yeah definitely!! I bet she would love it
thanks for the honest review
Awesome that you had a great time and experienced it first hand. Also kudos to Abby for getting the tix.
Thanks a lot man! Your vid was part of what got me hyped to go, I totally forgot but I've now linked the vids I showed in the description.
Me in Omaha hearing KC isn't a big city lol. Brickworld seems to be the place to go in the midwest
Haha, it's all relative. KC is the biggest city around me but people in Chicago or NY would laugh if I said it's a big city 😂. I get what you mean though. I hope I can make it out to brickworld one day!
Martin, Simpsons kid. I think....
Thank you!!
How much were the minifig packs?
I don't remember, not cheap. The retired packs were probably like 10 dollars.
That drone shot is sick
Thank you dude! Gotta show off my city ❤️
Went to Milwaukee yesterday. Pretty underwhelming. A few cool creations, a bunch of tables with legos dumped on them, long lines to do a coloring book page and a mosaic, and a store and t-shirt table. I have seen much better stuff in the same building. Was surprised at the lack of content.
How can you not know who Santa's Little Helper is as a legos fan?
I am ashamed, just never a big simpsons fan growing up.😂
Unfortunately Family Guy had taken over as the default cartoon when I was in school.
It's just a hub to record people and kids. This convention looks awful.
Seriously... come to Brick Days in Omaha March 23rd and 24th
It’s too expensive for 4 people it’s $150 bucks to just build legos yeahhh noooo
Do you know what VIP ticket difference? is it worth buying?
I’d just want to go for vendors. Doesn’t look like this is for me.
Is this a traveling tourist trap?
Kinda, yes.
Thank you for making this video!
Glad it was helpful!
You know it's bad, when there is almost no information available and none of the really huge Lego/Brick RUclipsrs mention anything in their vids/blogs etc..
Thanks @New Brickerton for saving us money.
Will it comes close to the Hampton Roads Virginia area
just bought 2 VIP tix for Raleigh Fairgrounds on Groupon for $30/each. It's Groupon Day, apparently. i never built anything from lego&pretty much don't get why people like them so much. i hate the way they look, especially the mini figs. i had Lincoln logs as a kid and they were pretty cool. my fiance' is the lego nerd so i asked if he wanted me2go w/him to this place. He said, "of course, it wouldn't be fun w/o someone to share it." i have a feeling i'm going to stand around&watch him play w/legos while i look&feel awkward AF. what did i just sign myself up for....
You are a good fiance. Now you find an event you want to go to and he will have to come along! I hope you enjoy it.

What a terrible show. The VIP pass is a scam, the balloon booth looks like it’s free (each balloon is $14), and no crowd management. It’s just a large conference hall with old sticky legos.

Imagine not knowing The Simpsons characters...what year were you born?
Born in 1994, just not a huge Simpsons guy. I know the main characters but not the obscure ones. I was more into Family Guy, lol! It's fair to give me a hard time for it though, Simpsons transcends generations
@@NewBrickerton I've got 14 years on you so it makes sense... Family Guy is your generations The Simpsons...I was already like 20 when Family Guy came out

This event is a total scam DO NOT GO HERE OR BUY VIP THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY
What you see is what you get. If you have little kids they might like it, and it isn't that expensive. It's just annoying that sometimes it gets portrayed as a full Brick World style convention.
