Anyone remember My Sims? Was it called that? An official sims game but really cute. Like Sims and Animal Crossing mixed, I really loved it. I don’t know why it never got developed or returned. This game reminds me of it, so I’m excited to try it one day.
There were more, 6 in all. Original, Kingdom, Party, Racing, Agents, and SkyHeroes. Now I kinda wanna play them again.

Set in London, yet has US-style fire hydrants. Not sure why that's the thing that stands out the most to me so far.😅

No, I'm pretty sure we don't have fire hydrants like that over here. Ours are underground, often indicated by a small yellow H sign, and pop out of the ground when needed.

@@fransmith3255 37, and I live 30 minutes away from London. I used to work there and trust me, if we had that style here I would have walked into them more than once.
I've got this wishlisted on Steam already, but it's good to see they've come so far since the last time I checked in on it.
Really hoping they add body-types. Even with the cutesy art style, it would still be possible to add a variety of body shapes. Right now everyone is that slightly tubby triangle-like shape. Hoping for some straight-up-and-down types, some inverted triangles (muscular), portly, pear-shaped and others. Building and character appearance are factors that so many Sims players spend a lot of time (and money) on, so hopefully it's something they have planned.
Edit: After checking the Kickstarter page, it's not looking hopeful. Currently it's only at 5k out of a 100k target, with just under a month to go. A real shame but I hope they can continue development, even without the Kickstarter money.

Tbh, the tag under steam already mention dating sim, so unless the 600k is romance. I doubt it will be due to the reason that wouldn't that be false advertising if they don't reach the 600k?
Yes, I was looking at the kickstarter and thought similarly. I noticed this plus stuff like seasons is a kickstarter goal, yet they already have gameplay pictures with seasons in it? I'd say that most of these goals, if not all have already been developed. They're just doing a bit of a dishonest money push. It's false advertising. I'll buy the game when it comes out, but I'm not backing false advertising that is there just to get free money for something that has already been made and put into the game anyway. And the pledges they're asking for are stupidly high. The kickstarter page looks like a crock of garbage. The stuff on it has most probably already been developed. I'll buy the game if it's good (and it does look good), but I'm not giving money to a lie!!

@@iliketinyturtles Actually, I've had this game on my wishlist for about 5 years now. I'm quite excited about this game. I'll buy it, assuming it has a positive release. I just won't be supporting it on kickstarter because I play a LOT of different games across a lot of different genres, and reading through the lines, there's something very fishy here, and that's concerning. Many a game has claimed many things and not been what it claims to be. Steam is littered with those kinds of games. Although I'm excited about the game itself, I nonetheless look at things carefully, so I also see stuff without rose coloured blinkers. Both I and the guy above saw it. It's a shame that you didn't notice it, but that's why people get ripped off. They're selling to The Sims 4 audience to a certain extent after all - people who have been ripped off for years. People who look for what they want to see, not for what's actually there. To be fair, I tend to benefit from those people because they're the ones who get ripped off and then leave negative reviews so that I can be a little more cautious and not buy garbage.
As I said, I've been looking forward to this game for years, but there's a definite smelly rat about that kickstarter page. It may be nothing, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. By all means, support it and let me know in the reviews whether it's worth buying or not.

they canceled their kickstarter and rn it seems like the game release will be a lot less features than initially planned :/

The kick starter description at the end is probably going to lead to any sim games downfall. People are already sore about EA squeezing out every last penny for additional features. But EA never asked for over 200k before being allowed to make a friend in the game. I understand the added languages. That sounds above an average game developers main talent. But geeze. Temp? When they already have a laundry and skill point system? Idk

Me too. I've had this game on my wishlist for...what...5 years? I haven't seen anything on this for soooo long. It's changed a lot! The detail!! It's soooo much better than The Sims for detailed gameplay, although that's not difficult. The Sims 4 is garbage. I'm in!!
My only concern is with the kickstarter page itself. I smell a rat on that. It looks to me like the stuff they're promising in the goals have already been developed. They're asking for money for 'stretch goals' that have already been developed?? That's completely dishonest! Guys look at the page carefully, with your thinking hats on. Sure, give if you want the rewards on offer, just realise that the goals for the kickstarter aren't real - they're basically a lie! You're not helping to make more features - they're already developed!! Soooo dishonest!!! 😡
