Il Prete Rosso è sicuramente più che soddisfatto di questa superba interpretazione! Tecnica inarrivabile e grandissimo "pathos vivaldiano" sono le componenti fondamentali di questa stupefacente performance!
Again : After a good 4 years having passed since the recording, this is really an absolutely outstanding document of singing, and of how to transport "Emotion". Still, and again : This is very, very Italian, but it shows, what Italian singers - here Roberta Mameli - can move. -Politically, one would wish that Roberta Mameli would perform in the UK, No Brexit, and stay away from the cliffs of Dover. What a singer !
WOW! I am a huge lover of this work. One of Vivaldi's greatest IMO. And this manages to be even better than my previous favourite versions by Sandrine Piau and Simone Kermes. You are an amazing singer. I only found this today. And the syncopated accents in the first movement are literally a stroke of genius.

It's hard rock unplugged from some centuries ago! Now I must commute to some Floyd's Echoes to sort how's first. Anyway THANK YOU Roberta !
Once I had the privilege to hear Roberta Mamela with La Venexiana in "Round M", singing at the very end "When I am laid down" by Henry Purcell. You will never forget ! - The most interesting piece of this recording is Hallelujah, usually to be sung before the priest reads out (during mass) the Evangelium. You can take form the recording that the voice of a singer is a kind of very complexe signature. And it shows a lot of temperament and temper ! Hardly imaginable that a non-Italian Person could sing the Hallelujah in this way, and we talk about under 3 minutes !Hopefully, this will appear on CD. In the meantime, buy the newly issued CD "Anime Amanti" by Alpha Classics. Really an outstanding artist, both on Vivaldi and Monteverdi - and on Purcell.
