@@HeliosSol183 by any chance do you know how those mods were made? I saw one on ig of the black suit but there wasn't any explanation about how to make him taller.
Thankfully the difference in height doesn't matter to me at all. If it was super drastic like two inches maybe, but half an inch or so? I'd be all over a CT Gambit.
My favorite Spider-Person! As cool as the Scarlet Spider suit is, I hope to see his Spider-Man suit in CT Toys form soon. It’s my favorite of his costumes, top 3 alternate comic Spider-Man costumes in fact
In Mafex's defense, there are several comic panels of the Scarlet Spider hoodie with the spider smaller and closer to the left/right shoulder. So the Mafex is not comically inaccurate, they just used a less popular version of the hoodie. Anyway, excited for this KO!
US wise, you can get the Mafex figure from BBTS right now. Who knows how long that will be true. I think Marvel Legends kind scratched the itch or was more preferred since it released earlier in the year. Cheaper to upgrade that figure then buy Mafex.
Oooh CT toys doing soft goods now I really hope they would make Gambit soon and I wouldn't mind if he is shorter than the original because at the end of the day it's a KO, as long as i get the figure cheaper but in good quality as the original.
I have the original and got a ripped custom hoodie from Ali to replace the OG one. The CT one is not premium with the stitchings outside, but the original's hoodie is also not good with the tiny logo.
Yeah the Wolverine face is real good, even better than the symbiot Peter which was also very good haha.. so if they ever do a Gambit they’re gonna have to knock that face out of the park.
do figure colectors even know their comics ? first of all many artist did diferent interpretations of scarlet spider, some had the buckle belt with a light, others did just a normal belt, the shape fo the web cartridge changed from square (like old peters) to the round one later, some did the sleeve ripped and tatered, others did a clean cut on sleeves, but the hoodie was ripped and tatered. also the small spider is the new (most recent) look of scarlet spider, and this new one doesnt have the spider on the back. i know you read my comment on your page about the stripes cos you even used the picture i showed to say why it shouldnt be black stripes lol.
So just out of curiosity how haven’t mafex or Disney marvel tried to stop these bootleg figures since they seem to be gaining a lot of attention lately and they are almost as good as the originals too
My "assumption" is that only the factory use by Mafex in China can try to warn CT Toys. But, since they are different in scale, it is different enough to let it go. No copyrights protections, you want cheap, make it in China, just prepare to be copied.
@@ToThinkT As it's still the Marvel License products. Disney is more in a position to seek legal action. Medicom can try but I think the real hurdle will be the design of the box. In the end it's about cost. Disney - Is it worth pursuing legal action in China(for many political issues) for this? Medicom - Same deal. Also I think Medicom knows a good way to address this is to just produce more of the official figure. Or don't but produce more figures that support the line. Like CTtoys Wolverine - Make more X-men to go along with that purchase. CtToys Scarlet Spider-man, well how about a Mafex Spider-Carnage? Or they have pursued legal action and have been shut down/delayed. Can't really stop imports as they are individual purchases from multiple retailers as opposed to a big shipping container from CtToys.
@@DesignIncase Good point, I agree. It is all down to money for the real rights owners. However, why CTToys do not copy exactly the same scale, if they feel that safe? Scale difference, I think, what makes CT Toys safe from the factory used by Medicom in China, as all other bootlegs, SHF, Legends, Storm Coll. etc. are in different scale than the original. Or perhaps CT are even working with the medicom factory to get the 3D design so they can mod the scale easily. I am curious of how CT Toys would do in the future as this is the first obvious bootleg maker with a brand.
Why are they making them shorter? I understand they are going to be of lower quality but I don’t understand why making them slightly shorter would be necessary.
If they're using the same machines that the official figures are made with (which is the most likely way these are being made and explains their quality) then the molds can be dirty and the product can be shrunken due to buildup of material. For quality like this they more likely don't have much choice in how they obtain the figures, it's possible that they're not "making them" shorter
Nah its to avoid copyright issues, because their figures are consistently shrunk down by a consistent factor, that is 0.05 inches in length, width and height. More importantly the only reason the pins do not seem as seemless as the original is while you can scale down the figure, you cannot scale down the pins(most likely being outsourced)@@owene2530
To be fair, the hoodie on the original was accurate. Just not to the 90s hoodie. The hoodie they used was from the 2017 Ben Reilly series where he steals a cosplayers scarlet spider outfit and Mark Bagley drew the spider smaller and further up the chest. The head that the Mafex has on by default is the 2017 head design as well.
Yeah I don't know if Medicom made that call or if Marvel stepped in an demanded it had to be the then current design(that lasted all of 5 minutes). Medicom had to know that the design was not the original.
@@DesignIncase it was the most current look for the character and probably when the figure was being designed he still had that outfit. While Ben Reilly ended at issue 25 he was still running around as scarlet spider before beyond. Though I know in Iron man he was drawn with the classic spider.
CT toys gambit would be 🔥🔥🔥 but I do feel like he’d be the first figure that would really be hurt by the height difference
ive seen people do height mods to the spidermen, maybe the same can be done for him too

Exactly.. the only problem with CT is they scaling down quite a bit. Not just height everything was shrink down..
Wishlist: Daredevil, Gambit, and Revoltech Cable
now we need batman hush
Rumor has it they're working on it
Hope they will make black variant first. Or black Knightfall Bats
@@owene2530 will be making a red hood out of it, hehe
Thanks for passing on the news I love the brown suit Wolverine so I'm in on this guy for sure
I'll probably get one just for that hoodie
CTtoys Gambit 🎉

Ct toys are knocking it out the park. More interested in tiger stripe wolverine than brown suit but damn that scarlet spider will be nice.

Considering they kept Wolvie's height the same, praying they do it too for Scarlet
Need revoltech moonknight by ct. I hope they branch out and do the shf berserk figures too
Daredevil hopefully next year❤
Daredevil and Gambit👹🃏 who's with me🖐🏻
Got mine at toy planet but I guess the link doesn’t exist anymore

Bro I wish they make Ben railey, it's gonna be fire 🙏😭
Please just do the whole mafex line at this point
Wish they would've made the spider logo bigger
They did lol
Bro if ct keeps dropping heat might as well build a display of their own scale lol honestly
