Nicks ability to be very entertaining and his chemistry with wildes and Broussard make it the best sports show on tv. It’s funny and informative, with flairs of personality.
Nicks approach to the current first things first show is spot on. I never cared for the show in the past. Then when it got moved to the 3:00 window I figured I’d give it a shot. The show is a perfect balance of funny and analytical. And the chemistry is off the charts. Even the guests are great now. Gets better each week.
Ive Been listening to Colin since 2013 for analytics as well as opinion. What I like about nick, is not just humor or even opinion. It's Nick's humanity and openness that makes Nick great. Ive always found Colin's interviews would be made better if he would let the guest answer in their way without Colin wrapping it up for them. Let the conversation breath Colin, then ask your follow up questions. Otherwise I think you're great too.
I didn't realize this was 45 mins long when I started and I stuck around for the whole video. Love this format. So organic to hear the full thought of an idea instead of a snippet like on the show. Keep this up, I subscribed.
Nick! I will never forget your first remote on 610 from Dos Hombres, I was the manager there, good friends with Chris and Cowboy, B-dub, D.A. etc... those were great times in radio, but bad times for the CHIEFS... It is awesome watching/listening to you in these amazing times! Keep it up buddy. So cool to see you become an icon in Sports entertainment! Congratulations my friend!
Not only is this content way better than the structured and over-produced corporate stuff, but it's also way more comfortable to receive seeing these guys in their homes. I mean, you can see Nick's backpack. When I'm on Zoom calls at home with coworkers, sometimes my backpack is visible. I might have a cupboard open. The lights create a glare. This just feels so much more relatable than anything else right now. Love this format.

I know it's a lot to digest for the average sports fanatic, but if you can view their content with complete unbias & objectivity, you'd find that this is as good as it gets in the football & basketball realm when it comes to sports coverage. Colin, Nick, JMac are really 3 of my favorites and have been for so many years. The success is not surprising given the overlap in viewership/listening. These long segments are great as well.
Anyone who's decided they don't like Nick Wright really needs to watch this, as it would certainly change their minds. One of the best podcast episodes I've seen in some time.
The shift from facts-based sports to opinions-based sports that they are talking about didn't just happen in the sports world. It happened across the world of news in general to the point that today most of us dont know the difference between a journalist (reporting facts that are newsworthy) and a pundit (giving opinions and thoughts about news and rumors). That lack of distinction causes most people to get there news from pundits, who have no obligation to truth and prioritize entertainment over all else , and to distrust facts/science and be unaware of what journalism and news actually is and why its crucial to the ideals of liberty, justice, and independence.
I agree except that I think journalists today are worse than pundits because few trust pundits, or at least, know they are givers of opinion whereas they think journalists are telling the truth when, in fact, few do anymore.

Colin, phenomenal show, podcast, interview... Whatever you call it with Nick. I've been following Nick since his days at Sports Radio 610 KILT in Houston back in 2010 and he is a special talent. Love him or hate him. Usually one or the other 😂. But the two of you paired together is really something else. Good something else. Good chemistry. @@dogmd7 Well, for his sake especially, I’m hoping the Chiefs win the Super Bowl , because buddy , if he thought the ridicule and laughter at him was bad when the Chiefs lost to the Bucs in the SB and then the Bengals last year was bad , a loss to the Eagles in the Super Bowl will bring over the top scorn and ridicule after all of the noise he makes about Mahomes and the Chiefs
This was actually very informative and most importantly- REAL (unlike their normal shows). I understand that entertainment is important, but I don’t like “entertainment” when people are following scripts and playing characters.

I still think Nick is best in this format. Takes away all the Skip-like over the top behavior and gives substance only. Both these guys are great and I prefer them when they are not trying to be entertaining and silly. I think this format gives them a lot more credibility that I might have never given them if they never did this format.
As a bears fan I think fields has the tools to become a top QB in the NFC, but there’s definitely work to be done on his passing game. Hoping they can get him a true WR1 this off-season. But if he has similar struggles next year with more help, they are gonna have to move on in 2024. Hope he proves me right and develops similarity to Hurts this year.
Bears have so many problems on offense that they may be at least another few years of strong drafts away. By that time, Fields may already be gone. Hopefully the front office can get it together because Fields has already taken so many big hits for a QB his size and skills. I don't like Eberflus leading Fields' development either. Feels like that may be a detriment on his career unless they find a QB guru at coordinator...
