Deads dead but if you beg they may show mercy or drop their guard it can buy time to counter attack honor is a fools prize glory is of no use to the dead
It's fun rewatching both Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul, but trying to see the series through the point of view of Gus or Hank. Gus spent decades building up the perfect meth empire that was ruined in a little over a year by Walt who got him killed, & Hank worked his way up the DEA trying to bring down a meth empire that ended up being ran by his brother in law Walt who also got him killed.
“No way, man, it’s all yours” Yeah, you’re god damn right it is, Gomez spent the entire series saying “I dunno, that’s a stretch”. Like, it was his entire character’s purpose.
@@Chuckclcmore that Walt, in a state of panic, gave up their only bluff they had in saying there was no back up coming and that no one knew they were out in the desert
The tension building after Hank gets the warning call is phenomenal. Even scarier is how Marco Salamanca is briefly visible through the windows of the SUV @ 1:15 😱
@@yviewer7655 Fight or flight mode is in full effect in a moment like that, plus even if you were thinking of making a run for it you'd still be fully aware that you're now the most highlighted target in the immediate area
I love when hanks hitting reverse and putting alls his might into it. Like pushing harder is going to crush him harder, lol. It makes it so gritty and realistic.
I love how Hank went. As sad as it was to see, the way he went was absolutely perfect. Walt willing to give up his money to spare him (as Hank noted he was a greedy bastard) that moment showed where Walt's priorities still were after EVERYTHING. Just a fantastic character, brilliantly portrayed by Dean Norris. Every time he was on scene, it was captivating, and he didn't slip at any time over all those series and episodes.
Still the BEST series ever made yet. And Hank was my favourite character in that show. Though I got spoiled his death, what would’ve been the greatest moment in any TV show I ever had witnessed.
Dean is a meaty dude for his age. Him eating so much probably preserved a lot of his strength and prevented that muscle catabolism that happens when middle aged men quit exercising because theyre told its all downhill.
Hank failed to realize that his own brother-in-law: a genius, talented chemist with personal financial issues and close connections to multiple crime scenes, was secretly a meth kingpin for almost a year. And he didn't suspect a thing until irrefutable evidence was literally dropped in his lap by pure chance. Hanks a fuckin idiot lmfao
And the doors from Hank's car wouldn't stop those 5.56 bullets as it seems at 11:25. Although at the second look it seems like one of those went through those doors.
Watching this again, the Twins are terrible hit men. The way they executed their "plan" was destined for failure or capture. And how did Twin 2 manage to only hit Hank in the lower abdomen and shoulder from 10 feet away with an unobstructed shot? With that type of gun he could have "mag dumped" in about 8 seconds and Hank would have been finito. I know, it's a tv show and I'm just a former hitman with a nice keyboard. Vravo Bincitá
Yeah, that scene always bugged me. Hank's actions are great, but the hitmen are terrible - the first one doesn't dodge a slow-moving car coming at him, and the second one takes forever to then finish the deal. Successful or not, it's like they planned to be captured - especially with the very conspicuous clothing they habitually wear, even if the police don't get there any time soon.
@@vacri54 they severely underestimated their target. the salamancas have a way with playing with prey that they think are guaranteed kills. its the same way lalo died, thinking gus had no way out of his encounter in the superlab, and its also how tuco was bested in his fight with jesse even as he was a dead man under his foot. in the very same vein the twins did not take the situation seriously as it was a 2 on 1 and they genuinely believed they had hank dead to rights. the second twin even sacrificed his easy kill just so that the final blow would hurt more-- something a more experienced killer like mike would never do.
The twins didn’t know Hank was tipped off. It would have been an easy head shot while he was just backing out of his parking space. And the brother that just saw his own brother get crushed by a car got about as emotional as you’d ever expect to see from either of them. This scene is such a weird line to draw around suspension of disbelief.

For all the bluster and the messing around Tuco does with that rifle earlier in the show, he SUCKS at using it. Terrible trigger discipline, even worse aim. He really ought to have the advantage in this fight given his weapon, but with aim like that, it's no wonder he loses.
Bro was not a badass. He was a large frog in a small well and when he tried to get out of his well, he danced on puppet strings and got himself AND his friend killed and buried in an unmarked grave.
