I came looking for a Regi battle theme remix and ended up falling into the rabbit hole of Pokémon Clover music along the way. Now I’m honestly considering downloading the game just for the music alone. This theme is god like!
I enjoyed this battle a lot. It really looked like a champion final fight. His team was really balanced and was not a ridiculous hard battle. Also loss in the background as the final meme you see, is it the strongest meme?!
This is the climax all games should have. Vyglass tried to create a perfect world, but the corruption and flaws kept popping up. He is trying to erase his failure and try to start anew, even if it means erasing the good in the world along with the bad. And your main character may be part of a flawed world, but is still going to do their best to legitimate their existance. They want to show Vyglass that, no matter what, the life in this world is fulfilling and meaningful, and worth keeping even if it's not pure and perfect as Vyglass wished.
I’m honestly kind of astounded I finished this fight on my first try, itemless. Even better having all of my Pokémon having a part in defeating Vyglass. Cannonance, almost singlehandedly destroying the Mech after dodging a Warhead. Davyjaws, beating both his Cannonance and Manatank. Mozzamazel, tanking a hit from Kuuroba and landing a crit with Heat Wave. Venowatt, paralyzing and managing to faint his annoying-as-fuck Slugfugg. Goryannus, winning the mirror match and killing his own Goryannus in one hit. and seeing my Deathorus OHKO Clovenix with a single Strato Blade was probably the greatest thing I ever saw in my entire playthrough. Thank you, Pokémon Clover. Best thing to ever come out of that hellsite.
Here I leave this hypothesis that literally took me out of my ass, and if Vyglass is the father of the protagonist? The only argument I have to say this is that in the most current version of Clover Vyglass was given a face sprite and curiously it looks a lot like the sprite's face of the main character when he is your rival.
Damn, a final boss theme that isn't quite dark sounding? That's pretty rare, usually final bosses have a orchestral or instrumental sound or it uses deep/dark sounds to highlight that its a final boss. But this sounds pretty upbeat, bouncy and maybe peppy? It just feels energizing listening to this. Maybe that's why this OST is my top favourite in this game, honestly most of the OST and remixes are pretty slappin too. I wish the recent Pokemon games were made with this much creativity to them. Recently I've also started playing Pokemon Clover! It's a pretty fun experience so far. Thanks guys for making this. I wish good luck if you are involved in any future projects like this one.
@@gortalla5474 I see your point, I do have heard her theme. It's mostly child-like and poppy(?) in the terms of sound design. Well, I guess it's to highlight that she's still young even though she's the final boss. Her theme is not one of my favourites but most of the pokemon games during the Black and White era had a lot of good songs, creativity and fun as well. My favourite theme from that era well it's hard to choose, but maybe Elesa's theme (and the low HP theme lol). That theme is banging and slaps hard. Love it. Still, it is kinda rare for final bosses to have pop(?) and upbeat sounding themes, except games that the themes centers around cutesy or artsy stuff. It's kinda hard to pinpoint, but that's just how I feel. Maybe it's just me not knowing everything about all the music existing for video games.
It fits his character, he isn't evil at all, just a man like any other that got angry towards a community back on his younger years, wanting to get rid of all that "vermin" to form a perfect world, he created Clovenix as the only thing in the world that could understand him, as a mockery to that "evil" 4chan, so that no one will meme again. And yet, the only person in need of a change was himself. That's what the player shows him, it doesn't matter what you aim for, as the world will always differ in at least something, what matters is to be yourself. And so he sets the guardian Pokémon free, as he became free, leaving the world for those that enjoy it. That's the lesson of this game, to stand up to yourself, since not everyone will agree with you, and that's ok, as that's what makes us human. (And to touch some grass once in a while)
There's no way this pile of 4chan memes is the best fangame... right? Right? No, seriously, I've heard nothing but praises about Clover, but from an outside perspective, it looks like a pure joke game that just happens to have great music. Oh, and speaking of music, HOW THE HECK DID THIS BEAUTY FIT ON GBA?
Its actually a really good game... I'm actually surprised that this game hooked me into it. Maybe its just a culmination of 4 chan, memes and jokes, but you can feel the passion put into making the game. Also its quite hard as well, compared to mainstream pokemon games by Nintendo. I recommend you to check it out, you may enjoy it.

I'm planning on using Vyglass on my fanfiction as the final villain. While I can't include a Clover arc due to the game's offensive humor, I would be able to use him, since he's actually a fairly serious character. It's either him or bringing Giovanni back from Ultra Space; what do you suggest?
Probably take out the clover arc but use the protagonist's mom, she couldnt have that whole adventure she said she had on this world if vyglass wasn't there, and since she said she disrupted evil teams on that world too it'd be interesting if she was no longer an npc

And your main character may be part of a flawed world, but is still going to do their best to legitimate their existance. They want to show Vyglass that, no matter what, the life in this world is fulfilling and meaningful, and worth keeping even if it's not pure and perfect as Vyglass wished.
Soooo the final boss is basically an Isekai protagonist
Vyglass is indirectly the father of the hero and all Fochun's habitants as he created the whole region
I don't think we ever get even a hint of who he might be in Pokemon Periwinkle. Unless it's Coldsteel, which is doubtful.
I bet Baddon
The best fucking theme in the entire game Holy shit this is a good final boss theme
This would 100% be in Smash Bros if the game was official.
I wish good luck if you are involved in any future projects like this one.
pokemon champion iris does have a happy theme as well, not a lot do
@@gortalla5474
I see your point, I do have heard her theme.
(And to touch some grass once in a while)
Has this Eternamax Eternatus/Kukui/Leon vibe, that despite the odds, you're going to win, and that fits his character and realization so well.
This is one hell of a special ROM, I don't regret playing this with my cousin.
YOUR MEMES END HERE
Damn Vyglass' theme hits different
In an alternate universe Pokémon Clover becomes the basis of the anime
Now I'm imagining Ash spewing out 4chan memes and I'm realizing how genius that would be.
There's no way this pile of 4chan memes is the best fangame... right? Right?
No, seriously, I've heard nothing but praises about Clover, but from an outside perspective, it looks like a pure joke game that just happens to have great music.
Oh, and speaking of music, HOW THE HECK DID THIS BEAUTY FIT ON GBA?
to be fair, the music are awesome but this doesn't break the standards of what the GBA can handle (unlike something like donkey kong country 3 GBA)
Clover is how official pokemon games should be
4chan is le evbel when all the toxicity make it one of the safest space to express your thought
"Wakey wakey, Clovenix!"
Don't let your memes be dreams.
goes beyond me how ruse bird can cook up banger after banger after banger
At long last, the high quality version.
HD rips.
My brother doesn’t want to play this game even though it’s super good and I bet he’d love it
Ngl. The soundtrack for this game is "when the plane flys over the island just right" worthy.
1:55 is godlike
This sounds like it would play in a battle network game if the series had a different soundfont
I finally beat this game it’s so fucking amazing
Hard as fuck as well
1:54 this part is sooo good !
How can people not like this song
FINALLY
Is it just me or did this OST take samples from the Temple OS boot jingle? Is Vyglass somewhat based on that Temple OS person?
Best theme, best battle, best climax. I have nothing to add haha :3

Hint on Vyglass is that his team weakness is Speed. Only Clovenix will outspeed ANY mon you have, even Militant.
But get a flying type or a poison type and bam! It should go down.
Ah also ,i've learned that apparently "Spore" doesnt work in this battle to your advantage...
Max 2 turns of sleep... so you WONT be able to focus punch anyone after using spore basically.
That stunt costed me the match, so yeah...better to be safe then sorry lol.

@@pasqualecarluccio6837 very nice team. I find the tripsius interesting being a physical attacker.
The only thing i see you can struggle with this team, is dragon types.
Thankfully, there isnt THAT many dragons in this hack. :3

It wasn't really the last few set of mons I thought I'd use for this hack, but to my surprise a lot these helped me against the Shadow Council members, especially Mozzamazel which I just stacked calm minds while fighting that one Shadow Cunt's Tarditank, since with Water absorb they couldn't do any damage to me, unless they used toxic, and managed to sweep what was left of their team with no casualties. And with Vyglass, it was
It all happened too fast for me, I just remember being stressed, sacrificing Ebolable to weaken Clovenix so someone else can finish it off. Chromox one shotting Kuuroba at one point. And Rectreem taking out the last two mons. The last one was Unjoy, and he was so closed to dying but thankfully Enema saved him. And I think it was fitting that I beat the game with my starter as the last one standing, which just made it much more emotional, especially since the moment I got to ebin I pretty ditched him to use other pokemon. I really cant believe that this meme game made me feel so invested.
Vyglass’ Legit Team
Clovenix (Ho-Oh)
Cannonance (Hydreigon)
Manatank (Walrein)
Slugfugg (Goodra)
Kuuroba (Machamp)
Goryannus (Golurk)

My favourite Pokemon battle ost

My only regret is that I couldn't use my original team for this battle. Not only are they horrifically trained and I was dirt poor the entire game, pretty much his entire team would've hard countered mine
OH YES
Vyglass' Entire Team: You can't defeat me.
Everybody in Da Squad PC: I know, but -we- They can.
Me and my final Squad:
*This theme plays*
Vyglass was the easiest boss in Clover . When he switched out and sent Unjoy i sent out Lizakbar and maxed out the SP.ATT stat with Nasty Plot and sweept his entire Team .
Well he’s basically playing 5-6 due to his Clovonix having no ev investment whatsoever especially if you lead with corooster
@@ultimapower6950 true i used choice banded ev trained carooster w gale wings and then after that i used crocker to sweep him with 3 sword dances
“And now…I’m gonna kick your ass!”
"Your memes.. end here"
- Definitely not Raiden
Haha Marleyzard double team toke go brrrrrrr
Is that a good cheesing strat? Lmao
Yup works for me just a little luck though and tons of ev training and calculating
Also are they planning on updating this rom hack?
@@The_Purrpetrator well theres a 1.2 version but that came out last year, i haven't heard anything about an update in a while, but now im playing through 1.2 and in mt moot, just trying to figure out a good team
Battle! General Volo (Team Phantom Final Battle) - Pokémon Brick Bronze Revengeance
Rectreem + Belly drum + speed weed +Enema + quick sand =ez win (idk about clovenix though)
And one of them has Sap sipper
doesn't seem like his clovenix was ev trained, outsped it with 252 spe 31 Iv modest chromox so :/
Wait really?! i thought it would be maxed out!!! O_o
...
well now that i think about it... it WAS level 100 and Vyglass JUST caught it with a Master Ball so....it makes sense that it aint EV trained...
That would not make any sense if it would be trained, Vyglass just caught it...
I entered the battle with two Pokémon down since I didn't think to revive them after the mech battle. Still Clovenix was easy pickings for my Endranther (switched into a Futaba Break meant for Semdemen and oneshot it with Decay Drain). The rest of the party was neutered by Warudio using Knock Off and switching with Scythear to heal with Regenerator.
@@abarette_ Yeah but he created it in the first place soo...
@@abarette_ just what I thought
I'm planning on using Vyglass on my fanfiction as the final villain. While I can't include a Clover arc due to the game's offensive humor, I would be able to use him, since he's actually a fairly serious character. It's either him or bringing Giovanni back from Ultra Space; what do you suggest?
Probably take out the clover arc but use the protagonist's mom, she couldnt have that whole adventure she said she had on this world if vyglass wasn't there, and since she said she disrupted evil teams on that world too it'd be interesting if she was no longer an npc
@@airam1721 so introduce the Clover protagonist's mother as a major character fighting against Vyglass? I can do that.
@@jorgegonzalezavila9376 yeah, I got this idea due to that dialogue "you remind me of myself at your age"

@@ratt2634 I thought I was the only one who had trouble with that!
@@jimmyjohnjoejr Yeah, I've learned this while doing the mirror match in Viol/Keksandra's house, the opponent, even if you have the same speed stat, always goes first. Either that or I was *very* unlucky five battles in a row.
I literally destroyed all vyglass's team with only a kuuroba
I did the same only with a baddon instead
I come from the far future where I beat the game with only flying types and le me just say if you lead with corooster Vyglass is playing 5 against 6
I see what they did with his name, you know vyglass vyglASS, nice
I'm not saying this is bad, but could've been so much better
@Windfury this doesn't exactly sound like something for the main antagonist. This sounds like it was made for the Champion. I'm only saying this because it's not really that fitting for his character. I believe Kymmi had a better theme. It sounded a lot more intimidated and kinda had this sentimentality to it. When I hear this, I just hear music. But that's just my opinion
@@DementedDoritoOfdoom A villain's theme doesn't necessarily have to sound "intimidating." This theme has that sense of finality to it that shows, "yeah, this is the final fight, also reality is at stake", and if you don't think that this song has that kind of sentimentality to it, I really gotta question if we're listening to the same song. But that's just *my* opinion.
@@verity_amo I'm not saying his theme is bad, not even in the slightest, but I feel like he should've had a way to show that reality was at stake. This honestly just didn't really fit the mood. If this was made for the Champion or someone else, I probably wouldn't have this opinion
@@DementedDoritoOfdoom Hey, to each their own, but this theme definitely gives me final showdown vibes. It emanates the same energy as the battle vs Asriel Dreemur from Undertale. It for sure hyped you up and immerses you into the moment more than anything, and I feel like that's great for what this game was made to be.
@@Gojira_uz I respect your opinion, but I don't think mine will change unfortunately
