If the theory of Galacta Knigh being the same we encounter everytime, like he's the same even though nothing should have ever happened and we are in a different timeline. This may imply that his death in Star allies is definitive and he's never going to be canon.
didn't that butterfly show up before and morpho knight didn't appear in the game in Kirby: return to dreamland? he was there at the scene when meta knight was reading the book. he watched it fly away before his attention was drawn to Magalors' portal and the Lor starcutter coming through. in fact, it has appeared several times afterwards in recent games like triple deluxe and Planet robobot, with star allies being his very first appearance as morpho knight, an indication that the butterfly was more than it seemed.
(Spoilers) Me: Soul Forgo? Oh boy here we go this is gonna be a cool and tough fight! Small red butterfly flys in and lands on forgo's nose Me: oh no... It's _him_
@Rio Inkling yep... but, as shown by Chaos Efilis, when Morpho knight was weakened and defeated, Forgo played an Uno reverse and stole his power. If you beat morpho knight, pay attention to what happens after he seemingly dissolves.
They played the card, twice. But now it's in a mode that is canon... Now we know that butterfly truly exists in the Kirby universe, and it's a SOUL SUCKER to boot. Even its own weapon blueprint, Morpho Knight Sword, has a unique property of healing Kirby for a small amount if you attack an enemy enough with the sword. Given the description of this ability implies that wielding such terrifying power within that sword is a breeze for him, that really says a lot about just how powerful Kirby is as a being within his own universe.
@@lanluhylrean1122 That now reminds me that it was kind of a missed opportunity to call the Meta Knight Sword power the Galaxia Sword. Oh well, one mistake in an otherwise S tier Kirby game
this butterfly was here since like the third Kirby game i cant tell if that’s some serious pre-emptivity or they just suddenly decided to make it important
Butterflies in Kirby showed up as early as the first game's first cutscene, but Morpho as a character has been imagined since around 2005 as Kirby GCN antagonist hence why the first appearance of THAT butterfly is in Return to Dream Land (KGCN's successor), they were setting up Morpho as early as then

My headcanon is that Galacta is permanently absorbed into his system now. He still needs someone’s form to be a non-butterfly, then Galacta’s body shapes that form
there's probably a reprise of the main leitmotif just because it's the leitmotif, but I like to imagine Morpho Knight's theme here incorporates "Welcome to the New World!" because Morpho heard Neichel's music somewhere along the way and became a fan (sort of like Kirby did)
Spoilers: As much as I love morpho knight, I really hope we get to see Galacta Knight in 3D in the future. The next full kirby game like this probably won't be until 2025 or 2026, meaning that he will have been 10 years out of the spotlight (edit: in a mainline game)
don't you mean 7 to 8? it may have been a bait and switch and brief, but he did show up in kirby star allies. I think it counts the same way that I believe Soul Forgo is our second naturally occuring soul boss in the game. just because it was a bait and switch for Morpho Knight in game didn't mean event's could have gone differently. (in case of confusion of Soul bosses; when I say second naturally occuring soul boss, I mean you encounter the boss outside the true arena/soul melter/ultimate cup z mode. first reference: Drawcia's soul from kirby and the canvas curse.)
@@averypatrick5279 You might not count it as a main appearance, but Super Kirby Clash had us fight three different versions of him _and_ gave us some juicy lore regarding his backstory. I think he's fine, honestly.
I did some lyrics to that song, they begin at 0:25: The butterfly of paradise Carries souls in the breeze... This forgotten soul won't last When the Morpho Knight appears. And, as the hero of good and his forgotten friend are here, Against their fate, they can have a fight. (Could it be now that his adventure ends?...) Judgment has fly for a knight of great renown. Trough the timelines, his memory lasts, the butterfly fights in his honor. Here we stand, in a forgotten world long gone in ancient dream lands... You're still here, they all were judged, let's see if you will end the same. Judgment came For the all time greatest galactic warrior. Judgment has come For the forgotten soul that wants to destroy this ancient world... Judgment comes For the hero of good from the land where dreams take form. Judgment will come For the hero at the end of his adventure... Judgment will come at the end of his adventure... Judgment comes at the end of all adventures. (And your adventure is not at its end...) (And the forgotten soul's adventure fight against the end...) (Take my blade, their time has come, make their adventure end...) My time has come, the butterflies fly for this friend... Now the judgment ends.
@@victzegopterix2 Oh, wow! I'd recommend you go give a listen to some tracks. They're kinda reminiscent of Devil May Cry 5's soundtrack if you've ever heard that one. Believe me, when I said your lyrics sound like MGR:R, it's a compliment!

Vague spoilers So uhh, this was my first kirby game. Like ever. Let’s just say I was uh. Confused. VERY confused. But I mean, it was still a cool fight
If you look back to star allies, you'll find his first appearance in the helper/friend storyline mode, regardless of who you pick. as for his presence, he could be seen as far back as Kirby return to dream land, even if he didn't show up in knight form. He honestly confused me at first when he first showed up, but I later grew to accept his presence over time. through research and exposure, you won't be so confused later on.
i like the idea of Morpho being like a frankestein in the world of kirby, if you remember well in star allies, morpho doesnt have an established theme (i thijk) but rather it variated with each character, and in this game, his theme takes a lot of inspiration of the main theme of forgotten land, i like this because it heavily emphazises that the strenght of morpho knight isnt his, but rather taken from other powerful beings.
SPOILER MORPHO KNIGHT IS NOW REAL! Also I remember that area on the map with the butterflies surrounding that fire. My brother and I found that and I went “What is this?! A Morpho Knight reference?!” (It was)
Well he still is “technically” Galacta knight as well. However we have had a Meta knight clone as the final boss of the side modes since Super Star Ultra i belive
@@EricTheChampion5393 Morpho Knight and Galacta Knight are two separate people. Morpho Knight is just the butterfly. He feeds on the souls of extremely powerful beings, and assumes his Knight form when he does so.
I just hot hit with a random thought. What if the butterfly _can't_ absorb Kirby's power for some reason? If it casts judgement, would that mean Kirby's pure? Or that only impure beings can.. you know?
I'm so glad I didn't get spoiled for this. After seeing that butterfly, i was in a moment of confusion...and then seeing the wings begin to open. Man, the whiplash I was feeling after seeing Morpho Knight again was something else.
I love it when morpho knight goes “Here lies galacta knight, his one goal of becoming canon was never fulfilled even though he’s technically canon you morons you don’t need to have a boss fight to play a major part in the Kirby lore. Anyways, where was I? Ah yes, LIGMA BALLS! Butterfly, hear my cry: Rise up and fly. Butterfly, end my plight; show me the light! Whence from a dimensional paradisaical. You cannot escape your own doom when the Fiend feasts upon you. (He comes in the form a a scarlet clad warrior.) laughing loud! (Morpho knight) even if you’re far apart, they’re right by your side. (Hear my cry!) hearts full of love!everyone is welcome to dream in the thrones of the underworld.(running wild!) Just let the isles summon and drift on and show you the way fresh spring breeze! Adventure’s awaiting you at the dusk of a decisive fight. (Go take your place and fulfill your post game boss role.) go cast your judgement upon this forgotten soul. I’ll be back. BYE!”
And that's only now, two month after the release, that I was be able to hear the principle leitmotif of forgotten land in this soundtrack. Seaking of it, in star allies, there was his theme, and different theme if you choice some dream friend in guest star, so, does that means this version is playing against elfilin, like there is the leitmotif?

My favorite part of this game was seeing white Leonel and of course, me being me, "Soul Leonel. ...there's gonna be reskin bosses aren't there? ...actually wait, Morpho Knight's gonna come back isn't he?" So I went through forgo dreams getting just about exactly what I expected from one "the end...?" Screen 😂 in fact as soon as I saw the Soul Fectis materialize I knew- and then there he was. I couldn't help but laugh and get excited. And apparently some people had guessed morpho knight the second they saw the butterfly in the opening Cutscene, and that made me laugh too. Honestly I'm not sure if people had a genuine hard time with him in Star Allies and Forgotten Land or if it's all just a meme of being scared of the butterfly.
Just finished the fight. First time I’ve ever fought him. I expected it to be hard because of the comments here…holy crapmuffins. I was holding R like nobody’s business (Blizzard Ice has an invincibility block, btw (can’t dodge roll, but I guess I prefer being a tank to being an epic gamer)). I genuinely don’t think I could have beat him the first time-I had taken too much damage in the previous fights, and I didn’t know any of the attacks or what they did. So I just had to beat him the second time (I was so relieved to see that you didn’t have to redo the entire level up to his fight, I would have turned off the game then and there) after I got a feel for what his attacks were like.
I don't know why but I thought it was playing the Star Allies version and I thought "I thought it sounded different..." Then I was getting confused by people saying it was canon and I was like "But didn't he become canon in Forgotten Land?!?" Then I scrolled up... Edit: for anyone wondering, no I still didn't get at the part where "New World" was playing.

up until this game, i had never played a game with morpho knight in it. however, a few days before i fought him here, i had watched a video on kirby's entire lore. so when that butterfly came on screen, i knew exactly what i was in for and exactly what was about to happen. and i was terrified
SPOILER
can't believe Morpho Knight appeared in canon before Galacta Knight
Me neither pretty lucky badge from paper mario ttyd
if he absorbed galacta knight before that means he canon?
you will never guess what happened in magolor epilogue
If the theory of Galacta Knigh being the same we encounter everytime, like he's the same even though nothing should have ever happened and we are in a different timeline.
This may imply that his death in Star allies is definitive and he's never going to be canon.
Galacta knight is canon he’s just appeared in ONE canon game/gamemode
The fact that this one butterfly can do so much is just actually insane
SPOILER
Figured we'd see this guy the instant I saw that damn butterfly in the beginning cutscene
didn't that butterfly show up before and morpho knight didn't appear in the game in Kirby: return to dreamland? he was there at the scene when meta knight was reading the book. he watched it fly away before his attention was drawn to Magalors' portal and the Lor starcutter coming through. in fact, it has appeared several times afterwards in recent games like triple deluxe and Planet robobot, with star allies being his very first appearance as morpho knight, an indication that the butterfly was more than it seemed.
(Spoilers)
Me: Soul Forgo? Oh boy here we go this is gonna be a cool and tough fight!
Small red butterfly flys in and lands on forgo's nose
Me: oh no... It's _him_
if it wasn't a bait in switch for morpho knight, you realize, this would have been our second naturally forming soul boss in all of kirby lore
@@FieraDevilWings that sword needs a name. If morpho knight is canon, he needs his signature weapon, like Meta knight and Galaxia.
Butterflies in Kirby showed up as early as the first game's first cutscene, but Morpho as a character has been imagined since around 2005 as Kirby GCN antagonist hence why the first appearance of THAT butterfly is in Return to Dream Land (KGCN's successor), they were setting up Morpho as early as then
Not going to lie i almost fucking cried when morpho knight appeared. This tbing is so fucking cool and this is the theme it FUCKING DESERVES. Literal chills whenever i hesr this damn theme i love it
And i thought he needed Galacta Knight to exist
My headcanon is that Galacta is permanently absorbed into his system now. He still needs someone’s form to be a non-butterfly, then Galacta’s body shapes that form
We all did. We were *wrong*.
@@Batterykitten8 i think it's been confirmed that is the butterfly's true form, not to mention Star allies Morpho isn't canon.

there's probably a reprise of the main leitmotif just because it's the leitmotif, but I like to imagine Morpho Knight's theme here incorporates "Welcome to the New World!" because Morpho heard Neichel's music somewhere along the way and became a fan (sort of like Kirby did)
Around 3:52, I heard something that sounds quite close to Nova's theme, just a fun little thing.
That guitar in 1:26 was amazing!
Spoilers:
As much as I love morpho knight, I really hope we get to see Galacta Knight in 3D in the future.
@@lanluhylrean1122 i don't count star allies considering, you know, you literally don't fight him. I'm counting Robobot as his last full appearance.

@@The94Venom I will say, I have not gotten around to playing Kirby Clash. Is it good?
I did some lyrics to that song, they begin at 0:25:
The butterfly of paradise
Carries souls in the breeze...
This forgotten soul won't last
When the Morpho Knight appears.
And, as the hero of good and his forgotten friend are here,
Against their fate, they can have a fight.
(Could it be now that his adventure ends?...)
Judgment has fly for a knight of great renown.
Trough the timelines, his memory lasts, the butterfly fights in his honor.
Here we stand, in a forgotten world long gone in ancient dream lands...
You're still here, they all were judged, let's see if you will end the same.
Judgment came
For the all time greatest galactic warrior.
Judgment has come
For the forgotten soul that wants to destroy this ancient world...
Judgment comes
For the hero of good from the land where dreams take form.
Judgment will come
For the hero at the end of his adventure...
Judgment will come at the end of his adventure...
Judgment comes at the end of all adventures.
(And your adventure is not at its end...)
(And the forgotten soul's adventure fight against the end...)
(Take my blade, their time has come, make their adventure end...)
My time has come, the butterflies fly for this friend...
Now the judgment ends.
Those are some great lyrics! Great writing job on them!

Yeah, the fight is pretty visually similar. I swear Fromsoft and HAL are related somehow, because Kirby and Forgotten Land’s bosses resemble some of the main ones from Elden Ring, at least in theming.
i didnt think a butterfly would be a criminal of mass genocide
There are two types of people playing this boss-fight:
Hey look, thats kinda cool

Vague spoilers
So uhh, this was my first kirby game.

So I went through forgo dreams getting just about exactly what I expected from one "the end...?" Screen 😂 in fact as soon as I saw the Soul Fectis materialize I knew- and then there he was. I couldn't help but laugh and get excited.
And apparently some people had guessed morpho knight the second they saw the butterfly in the opening Cutscene, and that made me laugh too.
