This year I BARELY bought any products. Partly because I spent a lot of the year too sick to care. But I also wanted to save money & explore my collection, which for someone who isn't an influencer, is utterly absurd! It's absolutely gigantic. It's actually been fun. The amount of times I said "I forgot all about this!" was WAY TOO MANY!
You'll enjoy when you are better.... I've just come out of a long illness and i have spent this year going through clothes and make-up and ipgrading. 😊 its been fun.
23:49 this eyeliner worm moment was the most memorable makeup moment for me this year! as someone who loves reading and watching horror, it was sheer perfection in the most grotesque way! 😂
Yes what is Katie going to do with a glitter Vaseline?! Hahaha I feel like Patrick Ta’s highlighter and foundation are for his perfect models. I will not buy Patrick ta products.
I agree completely. I consider Colourpop drug store pricing and Nyx is another brand that has amazing all day eye liners. I love high end and luxury makeup but drugstore does eyeliners right. ❤
As a liquid lipstick girlie and a lip artist, I feel the need to defend the transfer-proof lipstick formula. 😄 I understand the wear lines that you are talking about and this really sometimes looks out of place. But. 🤓 Firstly, you won't do such a pigmented colourful ombre lip with bullet lipsticks as with liquid ones, not to mention the designs, if this is something you are looking for. Secondly, the way liquid lipsticks wear off depends very much on the brand - different formulas behave differently. Thirdly, if you are going for more neutral lip colours, but you like them to be transfer-proof, you can apply a liquid lipstick all over and then a few minutes later apply a bullet lipstick of a similar shade on the inner part of your lips just to sheer the first one out. 💄 That being said, of course, you can still like bullet lipsticks more, but what I am just trying to say is that liquid lipsticks don't look bad, they just need a little love. 💜
If I know I’m going to be out for all day and want my lips to last it’s definitely a tint, liquid lipstick in a thin layer, then bullet lipstick blotted and lightly powdered 😂 so extra and rarely do that but I definitely use liquid lipstick as a base!!
@Who-en2vo That's a great method, too! I also love applying bullet lipsticks over liquid ones sometimes, especially when I want to add some sparkle with the bullet one! 💄
Thank you for defending liquid lipsticks, lmao. I don't wear lipstick very much anymore, but whenever I do, I usually reach for a liquid because I don't want to risk my lipstick coming off mid-conversation.
@@themirrorbeauty Happy to join the party! 😂🤣 I really wanna try using a lip tint underneath, tho, to mitigate that harsh line in the centre. Sunset Makeup has a black lip tint which intrigues me greatly.
It's not the best quality but I've gotten some really pretty looks with it and the packaging with it is soooo flipping cool! I love the darker greens in it 💚
My Singe eyeshadow palette shipped today!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to get it on my eyes! I agree about the Tarte lip product. Ick! Thank you for this video.
“This is actual snot.” 😂 My most disappointing palette of the year was OE Mighty Monster. I was so excited about and have loved OE, but for me that palette was patchy mattes and dry or hardpan shimmers. It was such a letdown. I thought we’d see those Merit single eyeshadows in this video, but perhaps they were last year. Anyway, thanks for the video, Angie!
I love the Wet N Wild skin tint. I’m 52 with dry/combo skin living in an extremely hot/dry climate (desert). I’ve never received so many compliments on my skin as on the days I wear that tint. Definitely worth a try!
Skin products are the only one I don't usually agree with Angie on. When she says greasy, my ears perk right up! Lol. If it's greasy or shiny on her it's sure to look good on my desert skin.
I had fomo so badly for the Patrick highlighters but I was never so happy to be broke at that moment 😃😆. Nobody liked that! In general I don’t think I’m a Patrick customer and that’s ok.
I was sooo disappointed I couldn't order the Kiss palette when it came out. I was stalking the website for the launch and everything! But then I saw the reviews and I was like "ok, maybe it was just as well I missed it". I got the Rick & Morty on your recommendation instead and I am very happy with that
So in substitution of that make up revolution, precise contour use the make up forever wooden pencil in the shade endless cacao… so much better results and that undertone 🤤
I agree about the Colourpop multichromes. They look better when just swatched. When they fully dry down they're less shifty. I have one of those Tarte glosses... it's pretty terrible lol. Thanks for keeping it real!
I really like the MUFE lip liners and matte lipsticks, they also do a satin version of the lipsticks which aren't as dry and look pretty nice, last very long too. The fenty lip liners were a favourite of mine this year too, I really like those ultra creamy liners rather than the traditional firm and wooden liners, as I sometimes use lip liner like lipstick and like good pigment.
I have those Hard Candy liquid shadows in a very light neither nude and a mid brown and I think they are really nice and easy. I can see the more colorful ones not looking good tho. I wanted to try the purple but we all know purples are usually difficult
Re: the Tarte Lip Vinyl, I think any lip product with the word "vinyl" in it is a makeup red flag! The texture is usually super sticky and the finish doesn't wear well. I'll stick with my glosses, even if I have to reapply them every 15 minutes. 😄
So a question for the community those of us who have large eyeshadow collections. Should we start posting collection videos even though we don't have a main Channel anybody interested in stuff like that anybody else want to do that. I just love seeing other people's Collections and I have a collection of well over 200 pallets😂😂. I think we should all share. So what's the consensus
I love that you have your affiliate codes up while roasting the products! 😂 Yes to the hustle! I don't buy much makeup (gone minimalist & stopped using eyeshadow) but I did buy Catrice laminating gel, which is actually glue you can remove in chunks once it dries down. Truly disgusting. It went in the bin after one use.
The Patrick Ta highlighter was SO TRAGIC. I ordered it before any of the reviews came out because it looked so promising and while it was in transit to me I saw like 3 terrible reviews. I almost returned without swatching it but... I had to try it and wow, what a let down. For indie brands, I tried the lab version of the Rituel de Fille creator concealer (which I believe launched as the Soft Sorcery Weightless Serum Concealer) and... I dunno, I think I have too many fine lines for it to work under my eyes--I'm also 40. I mix it with another concealer to cover blemishes to use i up but, it's just not for me
I have one of Makeup Revolution highligthers from this series, Pink Seduction, I believe and to be honest I love it. I`m at age 40+ and it looks nice on my skin. I`ve swatched others on my hand but they didn`t seem that nice looking for me.
I had the dark green and now new the dark red mascara from Lethal and love them. The colour actually shows which a lot of colourful mascaras don't. But I can imagine it really depends on the colour. Like blue mascara probably works the best in a thicker formula 😅
Those Elf primer sticks have coconut oil or cocoa butter or something that breaks me out so I avoided them. They look cute and I wanted the vitamin c one but they all have whatever that ingredient was
Wanted to test the elf foundation as they are now available in a German drugstore, have to think over it bc I also want to test the new Huda foundation so badly....🤔
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the so called dead space in packaging to accommodate the larger brushes and deter cross contamination between shades?
The Dior and the YSL mascaras did absolutely nothing to my lashes And my lashes are pretty dark, long and thick on their own so it’s not usually hard to make them look good I feel like these tubes just made them look dry if anything
Mine was the gourmande girls gourmandises palette. When I was testing it out, I had two of the dark shades (there was only three to begin with) blend out into nothing. And I love the GG formula so I was shocked that mine wasn’t working. I’m going to give it a second chance because I haven’t seen anyone else talk about there’s doing the same thing and because maybe it was just not a good day for me. But that dark purple and blue shade didn’t work and it made me want to immediately trash it.
My worst products are the Charlotte Tilbury exagger -eyes mascara 😢😮 it flakes off into my eyes 👀 ! And then I bought the Maybelline super stay Teddy tint wanted to love it so much and it just peels off of my lips but I can use it as a blush! thank the makeup goddesses
If you liked the look of the texture of the teddy tints I highly recommend trying some kbeauty lip products, especially from rom&nd, they have great formulas and are pretty reasonably priced!
I loved getting to meet you! You are so sweet! When I get products I don't think work for me I rehome them or trash them. The only one that was so bad I kept was a A wet and wild gloss!
I have been lucky I didn't buy much new stuff this year! So far I only remember these products: -I have been disappointed by Makeup revolution recently, their metallic lip stain was very mediocre and didn't last beside those tiny pieces which got stuck in my lips and just gave me a very dry look. I have a bone to pick with this trend, I do not appreciate shedding skin like a snake in order to have a very boring and bland pink lip! Give me a damn pigmented metallic lipstick or just a clear lip balm! -Kiko Milano in general since the end of 2023. I think something changed like they got bought because I feel like everything (from the point system to the releases and the prices) do not seem from the same brand. It feels even more boring than before and more expensive with less points to redeem even???? That's not good!!!! -Neve cosmetics lippino (a very sheer lip balm) in cocoa... it didn't taste like chocolate, it tasted only bitter. Sadly I used it only once, luckily it was a small amount of product.
I bought the Armani Eye Tints in 3 colors because I thought they would last on my oily hooded eye lids. Perfect for summer holidays .... ehm noooo, messy, not opaque.
Hmm for me I think the only thing that really dissapointed me this year was I bought a Natasha Denona Nude lipstick in the shade Beatrice, i love the formula BUT I'd relied only on her shade swatches online and the shade Beatrice is a lot paler in person than on her site. On me its not a nude but more like Ive put my concealer on my lips 😅 Im wearing it mixed with a darker rose shade though because the formula is too good to waste 🎉
To answer your question, yes, I tried the Bare Minerals Blonzer, I got a sample in Ipsy and loved it. But I do agree that for $40, there wasn't that much in the package. I did enjoy them, but I powdered over it. My least favorite, most disastrous palette of the year was Patrick Ta's new foundation. I had not problem with the old one, the one in the pan, but this new one was so greasy. It broke me out in a constellation on the lower half of my face. Not since KVD Good Apple foundation balm has that happened to me. Luckily, I had only used a sample so I didn't have to worry about returning it, but it was just awful So disappointing, since I like most of Patrick Ta's other releases and the shades were so nice, but no. No no no.
This year I bought the loose powder from refy hoping it would slightly mattify but still be hydrating, as I have dry skin. But it is the most mattifying powder I’ve ever tried… and makes my skin feel very dry :/ so maybe a good product for someone with oily skin.
I have not bought much makeup this year but there was still a couple of disappointing things, preference wise. Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk liostick is wildly overhyped, Juvias place Barbie Rose is a pretty colour, but doesnot sheer out, and the stupid expensive Cle de Peau face luminiser is not a translucent base so it is definitely not universal.
As your skin-opposite, the Nyx foundation is on my next to-try list. Also, when I hear "gel," I immediately put the product back on the shelf and sulk (won't be emollient enough). Sorry that one didn't work for you. They lied! 🤐 All hail the snail! 🐌🐌🐌 The Murad spf is super duper high in dimethicone. Excited to see your favorite sunscreen soon. On another note, I kind of want to smell all the H&M fragrances, but I haven't found them in store ever.
I bought the make up forever, Matt lipstick in that funny red tube you’re right they are the worst. Everything else was good this year too drying and fine lines around your lips.
Damn, I was thinking of getting those Colourpop shadowsticks but looks like I need to reconsider. Many shades looked great in swatches, but I understand though that with that price you cannot except much multichrome pigment. I think it's pretty usual in shadow sticks and liquid shadows that they look too thin on the eyes, no matter how many layers you add.
I think they are really nice! They are a subtle multichrome, but my opinion is that they look beautiful on. They were my one and done look all summer. 😊
I want to say something about Elf products I noticed that I don't know about you girls, but their products are often great at first but over time and with use they are not so good anymore For example, NYX can be used up to the last drop 😅
I was excited for the new Huda Beauty palette icy nudes. Color story right up my alley. BUT a disappointment. I can get a good look or two but too many light similar shades and couple of the chunky glitter shades are worse than my 2016 shimmery palettes. I don’t know what they were thinking. Great color story but didn’t do it justice. Could have been in my top 5 if took the time with it. I also had high hopes for the Huda Beauty gloss. I bought it in pink and clear. The pink which had pigment separated and looked horrific. The clear looks good when I put it on and lasts an hour which is better than some but what a let down.
A disappointment I had, was I bought BH - Take me back to Brazil palette, it was second hand, and the shades amazing in it, but looking at it, I can't tell what is mattes or "shimmers", because they are so subpar (the are satin at best, but most just have a shine to them, where they look like mattes, but are satin in texture...) And the mattes are so bad, not buildable and just blend away. I heard so much good back in the day about this palette, so not fun to see how extremely bad it was.
I think the elf power grip setting spray was more of a gimmick and didn't really work - also the sprayer on mine keeps getting clogged 🤦🏽♀️ other than that I haven't really had any big disappointments (but to be fair most of what I bought this year were indie singles and they NEVER disappoint 😂❤)
I hope Patrick Ta leaves the struggle makeup (and not paying back creators) in 2024. The worst makeup this year was Made By Mitchell liquid blushes and highlighters. I bought several of each when they were 50% off at Beauty Bay, and they're all in the trash. The colors were gorgeous, but they dried damn near instantly and were unblendable no matter what I tried. That makeup is the true reason I won't be trying any new brands in 2025.
I can’t remember what creator’s video I watched, but it was a purchase or pass video. The creator said that she was going to buy the Refy mascara, and I commented; I wonder how many are going to have that mascara in their “ worst makeup of 2024 “ 😂! 💕
Maybe the butt hole lipstick (😂) in black would work? It would end up looking like a you licka the Zebra butt hole. 😅 I love your descriptions. I love you more. 😊❤
Too Faced Kissing Jelly! I got one the other day that was only half full. My joke was that I got it around half off on their site but I do not think this is what it was supposed to mean!
I learned that I don't like the Blend Bunny quality. I don't know why everyone but me loves them, but I personally don't think they're even close to the quality of Nomad, for example.

Omg me too 😂. I have a large collection I have been trying to pair down and use.
me too, I spent most of the year in a semi-letargic state hahaha
I love "bad makeup" videos.
Same!!!!
I feel good about not impulse purchasing all the new releases !
I generally dont buy his stuuff either...the only thing i like is his brow gel..
I will say, the Colourpop multichrome eye liners are really great. they last all day, and you can readily see the multichrome.
I agree completely. I consider Colourpop drug store pricing and Nyx is another brand that has amazing all day eye liners. I love high end and luxury makeup but drugstore does eyeliners right. ❤
I was so shocked at how ACTUALLY multichromatic they are! I bought two & use them on the regular.
I love colour pop eye liner just in general honestly
I'll never forget the h&m eyeliner worm! What a mess. 😂
This is totally body horror material for me. 😨
As a liquid lipstick girlie and a lip artist, I feel the need to defend the transfer-proof lipstick formula. 😄 I understand the wear lines that you are talking about and this really sometimes looks out of place. But. 🤓

Patrick Ta in general is the worst of 2024…PMG gets a honorary mention lol
The only Patrick Ta item I’ve liked is the brow gel, the rest isn’t giving the quality for the price (in my opinion)
😂😂 Good one! ❤😊
Yes 💯
He doesn’t pay creators either for their work
Jajajajajajaja
“This is actual snot.” 😂

Now I don't feel fomo for not buying that palette
I love the Wet N Wild skin tint. I’m 52 with dry/combo skin living in an extremely hot/dry climate (desert). I’ve never received so many compliments on my skin as on the days I wear that tint. Definitely worth a try!

I also have dry skin and live in an arid climate. All of the foundations and concealers that Angie described as too dewy, I thought might work for me.
Wet n Wild has soo many good products..
I want to try it but I can’t pick a shade, they literally all look the same to me, very peach toned
@ I’m light or light/medium with a neutral or golden undertone I have shade Medium Warm Chaud. The shade range is very stretchy
I had fomo so badly for the Patrick highlighters but I was never so happy to be broke at that moment 😃😆. Nobody liked that! In general I don’t think I’m a Patrick customer and that’s ok.
Glitter vaseline , that's how I felt about made by Mitchell comet case, absolutely love his other cream products but not that
That Patrick ta highlight is the worst highlight I’ve tried in 5 years - both the powder and Vaseline sparkle sides.
Yeees, Angie roasting makeup 🥰 have an amazing Monday!
This eye look is killer!!! Thank you for always being our all out colour queen!!!❤🎉
I got that Patrick Ta highlighter... and returned it the next day. It is not functional! Way to expensive to be a subpar as it is!
i love these videos because I know what to avoid, which is so very helpful

❤❤❤ I hated the Murad sunscreen.
I absolutely LOVE the refy mascara. Once I got the hang of it, it stands my lashes straight up, beautiful curl, separate and long. ❤
Same. The first few times were a bit hit and miss. But then when I got used to it, it is just lovely! Gives me the most beautiful lashes!

I got the bella beaute bar lip gloss in love bite and its just so underwhelming and the stopper keeps getting stuck on the lid too. 😢
I'm so tired of Glamlite's lenticular packaging. It was fun the first couple of times they used it but now it's so overused.
I am autistic and I absolutely cannot with the touch and sound of it. There were many palettes I would have bought from Glamlite if not for that.
I have been waiting for this one!

The tirtir red cushion doesn't work on my dry skin. I tried it so many times and it's just not for me
High coverage + dry skin NEVER WORKS. A medium coverage dewy foundation is the best.
@ravynwebster279 high coverage is fine with the right skincare and prep. I wasn't knocking this foundation, it just wasn't for me
I found the silver compact (Aura Cushion) to work much better than the red on my dry skin. It also has a glowier finish.

No no no.
I bought the sigma eye primer, thought it would be great but I get crazy creasing😢
Omg, me too! I NEVER heat anyone disliking it but my eyelids are very oily and I am so happy to use it up and throw it in the trash 😅 I am nearly done
This year I bought the loose powder from refy hoping it would slightly mattify but still be hydrating, as I have dry skin. But it is the most mattifying powder I’ve ever tried… and makes my skin feel very dry :/ so maybe a good product for someone with oily skin.
For me, it was the whole kiss collection and the Makeup Revolution highlighter. They were absolutely terrible!
The actual snot comment made me bust out laughing.
As your skin-opposite, the Nyx foundation is on my next to-try list.
Also, when I hear "gel," I immediately put the product back on the shelf and sulk (won't be emollient enough). Sorry that one didn't work for you. They lied! 🤐
All hail the snail! 🐌🐌🐌
The Murad spf is super duper high in dimethicone.
I like them a lot!
The eyeliner worm is gonna give me nightmares now.
I’ve heard glamlite’s formula is very inconsistent
I fell for the hype and ended up with not one, but TWO Patrick Ta blush duos…. 🤦♀️
“Actual snot” 🤣🤣🤣
Sometimes when Ido my eye makeup I remeber the sight of you fishing the eyeliner worm out of your eye ;D
I thought it the comet case was going to be amazing, I gave it to my neighbours teenage daughter
lol, it’s makeup and a game 😂
I can’t remember what creator’s video I watched, but it was a purchase or pass video. The creator said that she was going to buy the Refy mascara, and I commented; I wonder how many are going to have that mascara in their “ worst makeup of 2024 “ 😂! 💕
That Patrick ta highlight made to last for 1 hour for a photo shoot-insane decision to release it for his brand
2024 - the year of goopy make up
I learned that I don't like the Blend Bunny quality. I don't know why everyone but me loves them, but I personally don't think they're even close to the quality of Nomad, for example.
Its makeup and a game 🤣🤣🤣
I bought the kiss palette on Black Friday for $8.40 even if there's only the shimmers I like for that price oh well😂😂😂😂
Me watching this after buying the Colourpop Multichrome stix 🤡
I really like them! 🤷🏻♀️ The multichrome is subtle, but I think they're very pretty! You may still enjoy them. ☺️
The first product? I wonder if it would be good to make slime from your description lol
I think it's funny that even though these products are "bad" there are links to buy them 😂
