Honestly I wish this arc was a bit longer. It was creative. The designs of the zanpakto were amazing. It forced the soul reapers to get creative without their usual powers and actually use their version of magic, which we rarely see. Honestly I would have loved to see a few more of the captains fight theirs. That and have White get more screen time. Knowing what we do now about White, the entire fight with Old Man Zangestsu literally is just him telling Ichigo to trust White and rely on him as much as Old Man Z to unleash his full power.
So many plot holes in this. 1. he is not a zanpakuto, but quincy powers. 2. he used black getsuga which belongs to shinigami-hollow zangetsu. 3. during his bankai he should take form of tensa zangetsu, but he remained the same.
It can make sense if you think about it, zangetsu kneeled to muramasa after beating quincy zangetsu to a pulp. its not like the other soul reapers couldn't use their zanpaktous powers either, it was just their bankai. The bankai part about zangetsu isnt as crazy because that wasn't even ichigos real bankai. Muramasas power is hypnotism, whos to say it cant work on a quincy spirit. Ichigo is a weird grey area because hes the only quincy that has an inner world. Plus at that time quincy zangetsu had more controll over ichigo, even hollow zangetsu said that quincy zangetsu was holding him back.
@@bleachfan2.029 Except that it almost did, ichigo had to snap hollow zangetsu out of his body so that hollow zangetsu wouldnt join muramasa. Thats why ichigo said " No you arent taking anymore of my powers."
@@saxophonerman1239 ok that makes sense , I haven’t seen bleach in so long I only remember parts of it plus what you can find on RUclips. The part I do remember is the battle between white ichigo and muramasa in the inner world.
Yeah it all honesty white should’ve been the one pulled out but at the time old man was full control of Ichigos power so it makes sense why he was pulled out instead at the time
Because zangetsu (yhwach)was in full control of ichigo ‘s power and hence he was pulled out . As we know ichigo is special being he has his own zanpakuto connected to his soul unlike other soul reapers who recieve nameless asauchi that’s why hollow ichigo didn’t come out whether those who was commanding ichigo s power came out
This whole movie makes no sense at all with the storyline. Unless white allowed yawach to use his powers to make the enemy believe he was the actual getsuga and because Ichigo didn't believe white was getsuga he never tried going into bankai

I think Zangetsu (White, the true zanpaktou) felt very happy and proud to work as one with his master even if it was through a lie and only once

I love how both zangetsu want to protect Ichigo by making him stronger.

Don’t forget that when muramasa tried to take control of the hollow it didn’t work, so ichigos zanpakuto never left him.

best way to explain it, was that this was anime filler.
