Music Composed by Dave Grusin. Recorded in 1974. For information purpose only.
Suite comprised of: Prologue / Main Title / Tokyo Return / Sayonara Pt.2 / Apologies (Edit) / Bows - End Title (Coda)
I've always loved this movie. The story is both exciting and heartbreaking. But so much of its power is in Grusin's music.
GREAT YAKUZA MOVIE, ONE OF MY FAVORITES 👍
Mine tooooooooooooooooo
This movie is possibly the best ive ever seen and ive seen allot of movies from the 1900s all the way to 2021, it might not have allot of things that other movies capture but it does have two things accuracy and realism. oh my gosh their was so much stuff that this movie had that no other movie would ever have, i dont know what it is but the characters and plot remind me of something you would see in anime or video games not in a movie made in 1971. Whoever made this movie must have done allot of research because i cannot think of any type of media or pop culture that did something like this, because you might think that realism and accuracy makes things more boring than it already is but no of course not. Look at some anime like Berserk, some Isekai anime like Re:Zero they have allot of things that you would never see in any other type of media when it comes to realism and accuracy and thats really rare to see in anything. This is my opinion so im sorry for those fans who like some other movie that has more popularity but this movie is one that should never be forgotten and it needs more love eventhough its an old movie thats my opinion.
Superbly atmospheric soundtrack by Dave Grusin. Enjoyable film too.
Another Grusin gem. I've yet to hear anything by him that isn't utter class.
The warm music is a fitting compliment to a classic movie. It is also a compliment to the leading stars.
Masterpiece, like the movie. Thank you very much
The music makes the movie so intense.fighting parts are really cohesive with the music
Beautiful elegance
magnifique
One of my favorite films. I love it too much to watch it the 2nd time.
Absolute brilliance!
Thanks Chief! The Yakuza makes a great candidate for a Zerokomma treatment as the score (tremendously) plays against picture and would contrast quite well with a fast pace edit.
PAL|Soundtrack Specialist will do bud...one of my faves. Keep up them great posts.

What if there was a James Bond movie in the Far East/Orient/Asia, in this case, Japan ? (It might be a combination like "Black Rain" (Michael Douglas, Ken Takakura, Andy Garcia) with "Rising Sun" with Sean Connery, Wesley Snipes, Harvey Keitel, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa & Tia Carrere; maybe a rare appearance of a ninja or samurai).
Kevin, there's You Only Live Twice which is set in Japan.
Man With The Golden Gun?
@@paulfromdevon4707 the 1974 film with that "Tattoo" guy (Herve V. from "Fantasy Island" tv show). "James Bond Rock" was filmed in like, the southern islands of Thailand: Phang Nga Bay...
