Hi Nick. Thanks again for your videos. Been watching since summer. On the cladding. Do you ever have comments or communications from LFC or Rayner Rowen? Only It'd be great to hear what their views and plans are for the gaps in the cladding. It looks terrible most would agree. I'm also sure that RR emplyees will watch yours, Kevin's and Craig's videos hence why i wondered if they'd commented on these issues. Cheers and thanks again for your work !
there is a bit still to do. There's the cap stones all around the top of the brickwork to close the cavity. Random patches of tarmac that needs replacing with paving. Cladding inside and out. trim work on the bricks above the N and P entrances. and of course the favourite corner by the main stand that still needs terracing and seats.
Hi Nick, Happy New Year and thanks for your update. I was at the game against Arsenal on 23rd December, and I spent some time r having a good look around the new stand. To be honest, there’s still sh*t loads to do, mainly like you say snags. When you actually see it up close in real life, only then you realise how much is still left to do. It doesn’t look anywhere near as bad on your vids. The shankley gates won’t be there forever, I imagine if and when they extend the KD stand, they will have to be moved, probably somewhere where they look like they belong. Thanks again mate 👍🏻
0:47 Happy New Year Mr D. At this time good to see progress on the road, assume work continues on the interior fit out. I have thought for some time that the Shankly Gate looks out of place. I feel it needs a more prominent position on the main stand side.
That's the point mate, it's because there's so many little bits randomly everywhere. I don't doubt it will look great when eventually done, the time its taking is ridiculous.
There are areas everywhere that have been filed with quite a flexible tarmac. If this was the city centre, it would likely be left like that as the council are a joke but here, it is just to create a level surface (to avoid trip hazards on match days). I am confident once finished, all those areas will be replaced with the correct paving type for where they are
Alright Nick 👍 👌, you doing OK? Hope your festive celebrations 🍾 were memorable? Not too much good eating going on.. lol 😅😂 Let's see what been done. 2:55 that corner is awful, unforgivable, how did that get past checks. I know it'll get sorted, but really? Road and paving looks really good. Not sure about the grey shutters though. Yuk! Red all day long. Agree with what you saying Nick. Why have they not been done on cladding. Looks appalling frankly! All that money. Roof looks great, nice and clean though. Needs to be pukka. We'll done Nick. Good luck for this year in whatever you bring us. Good luck to Liverpool vs Arsenal and Everton vs Palace. Merseyside win on both counts. See you soon.
Great work Nick thoroughly enjoyed your updates mate Is it me or does the edge of the forever stones - where it angles - look dreadful? 4:23 The corners don’t meet and don’t even look close to meeting.
The forever stones are disgusting and are so badly fitted I believe this is on the agenda to fix but the focus is on getting the inside done to create revenue..
@misterdroneuk Happy new year La, with reference to the Shankly gates, what if they were placed on the border of Stanley park and the main entrance too Anfield road stand
Hiya, thanks so much for your videos. Just a quick question. When they come back at the end of the season to do that corner inside, will you be covering it? I've loved watching the progress over the past 12 months. Thank you so much
What i do find a bit stance is ehere the two stands meet they didnt design in corner stands. With the view of the possibility of one day doning thr centenary and maybe then the kop Though given the stands are vertually on thr pitch in anfield the angles may be to tight? Other thsn that i dont know why it wasnt designrd in to thr original stand for possible extentions into the corner. mist be 1000 seats you could but in each corner.
Thanks for another great video. Can I come with a wish? I’m a seasonal ticket holder on Brodies, with four seats in the section that isn’t open yet. The reason for the continuous delay is that the lounge/bare area for those seats isn’t finished. Could you make a video of inside the stand (bar/lounge area)? Cheers
I would imagine that being quite difficult for him as it would require access to the area(still a building site) As Nick is a blue I highly doubt he has any desire to pay for the hospitality once opened to make the video either 😂😂😂
I mean filming from the outside with the drone, not actually go inside😊 especially when dark outside you can get good shots from the inside when filming from the outside.
Great vid nik...but I disagree with you... The work looks shoddy...those snags should never have happened....!!! And don't get me started on those forever stones....!!! I've paid for one for me dad and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement......!!! Thankfully our team is performing on the pitch....it takes my mind off the outside when I go to the game...!!! Come on Palace....er i mean Everton...!!! 😊
I'm sure ALL Liverpool fans would be Happy with a Liverpool vs Everton final - just like they'd want Everton to avoid relegation as its not only great for the the city of Liverpool, but also one of the matches we all look forward to every year and a long time since we had a Merseyside Derby as a Final...
Not sure it's snags, the "trim" pieces are yet to be added to the edges of the large panels of cladding. Guessing that will be done in the close season?
The roof was leaking quite a bit on New Year’s Day. Needs more work to make it water tight. Especially at the main stand end where it pours out by the exit gate underneath the roof strut and if one is not careful they will get soaked!
The original subcontractors for the roofing went bust and the Buckingham Group took the work on. Some cladding work has been completed notably on the SKD side but they seem to be having issues sorting out the connection of the Main Stand / New Anfield Road interface.
My guess with the cladding. Since the other building firm went bust, they have had to re-source and re-order some cladding and the new firm have got to re-schedule a cladding contractor.
The Shankley Gates look alone and kind of forgotten where they are. Maybe if they were moved to the Park Anfield Road access point they’d look better and be appreciated more.
Thanks for all you have done, your reports have been superb 👌. However I can't agree that it's only snagging that needs to be sorted, looking through the windows appears to show a huge mess - I am assuming this is hospitality areas, don't think the hospitality is fully open for seating either. Then they clean the roof up, but don't do cladding, or external walls and pathways, signage...I could go on, but for me there is a lot still to do - not just snagging.
Nick and viewers, can you shed any light on the weird cladding on the inside, near the Kenny Dalglish stand? Its really irregular, with two holes in it - is that to put a big screen in?
They won't finish the cladding until the rest of the external works is done. I'd expect it's just a week's work once they get the chance and they get the all clear from groundworks
On the Shankley gates they need to create space on the other side, and then make something of them.. Some kind of monument in itself. The reality of extending your ground in such a large way is this kind of thing unfortunately...
If it took this long to do one stand, I dread to think how long it might take those Fenway creeps to bring stands 3 and 4 (and poss corners) into the modern era! Still with their obscene 5 BILLION quid profit I'm sure they aren't remotely bothered. PS that profit is enought to pay for every fan and corp spectator for entry, and all food and drinks for every home game for the next THIRTY NINE YEARS!!! (Correct, it is staggering!)
The snagging list will be quite extensive. When i was at test event noticed so much that is still to be done. It gets finished when it gets finished though. The laying of the forever stones is terrible. Am hoping they do something with the shankly gates as they seem so out of place
I just think the forever stones area could have been better landscaped and designed. When comparing to behind the main stand, it looks quite unimaginative.
@@aquissukthey did much of the landscaping and surrounding are well after the main stand was finished so hopefully that’s the case with this area.. I love anfield but am probably in minority that wishes we had built a bigger brand new stadium.

MR DRONE the roof and cladding will be done last ,they have to wait until the season is ended to one finish the roof pitch side and also to have crane on pitch to lift the floor in place to finish the seats on the lower tier of the anfield road stand ,and sort out the entrance to pitch and remove the camera stand put it in the corner. But as you say they need to fit the sand stone logo above the ain door ,they need to fit the stone ledge over both left and right windows which are on a taper either side of main doors .they have to fit the concrete slabs to the top of the building have a look at main stand and you will see AT THE TOP OF THE BRICKS ALL THE WAY ROUND.They have to fit the fence on the top of the building they have to finish the cladding to the two doors that come on to the top roof.they have to fit the rest of the special stones and finish the slabs and finish the drain covers and fit the six benches ,they need to finish all the blocks round the road and finish off by the main gate ,they have to finish off the first floor inside .they have to complete the ground work ie gardens to fill with soil and put in shrubs and trees .they need to finish the two doors which i think is for vehicals either side of main doors.quiet a lot to do me thinks.remove all the fencing on the roof clean the roof ,and finish all the cladding all over.

@@simonlewis720 just think they could have done a better job overall with both new stands, it all just looks a bit mis mashed together, when you think this is what your going to have for a good while, whilst other team's stadium's are all going to be A1, like SPURS ground, Everton's new ground, Arsenal's ground, City's new stand/ground and United will eventually do something with there's, a don't know it's a bit underwhelming
