Man I've really enjoyed watching your reviews on these Kiss albums, even though I don't always agree with you. My dad got me into Kiss when I was a kid. He had Kiss through Unmasked and I listened to them religiously. I definitely love the original Kiss over any other lineup. Again really enjoyed these reviews.

It's interesting noting the KISS songs and albums I liked as a kid and the ones I like now. It's changed a lot.

You nailed it on the head @ 5:30 when you said the "worst offender" of the rhythm guitar sound, part is great, sound is not. The Love gun era was the very peak of their power. Best costumes, and that Alive II Stage, Holy Fireballs Batman! So far I'm right there with you and I agree Got Love For Sales is a dumpster fire. Sounds last minute in lyrics and production. Shock me is one of my Favs also. Tomorrow and Tonight would have been a total gem on like Hotter than Hell or maybe KISS, I liked it, not loved it, too on this record. Love Gun Ditto. I actually kinda like Hooligan, always have. Almost Human starts out really cool until the vocals start then when it gets to the pre-chorus it gets lazy and from there I think it Sucks. Ironically, I think, is Gene's song Plaster Caster is about a real person he depicts having him on her list but in reality he's not. As far as "And Then She Kissed Me" in my 12 year old brain, I always felt like that's the one song kids could have their parents listen to and say, "See, they are a good band!" Cheers

I was a KISS newbie in 1980. My family knew I was interested in drumming and rock music. This band and that instrument were a great mix. I acquired my first 5 KISS albums from older relatives. I received the Elder as a birthday gift from an uncle, and Alive 1 and 2 plus Double Platinum from an older female cousin. I also received Unmasked from her. The first KISS LP I bought with my own money is Dynasty. Love Gun holds a very sentimental meaning to my wife and I. The tenth track, Than She Kissed Me, was our bride/groom dance. I realize most kiss fans think it's goofy but we both love the vocal by Paul. My favorite track on the disc is Shock Me with, believe it or not, Plaster Caster a close second. I do totally agree with everyone. Hooligan is horrible!🤢🤢🤮🤮. Happy that Peter Criss recovered from that awful 😞 mess. 😩!
I love this one, but it's my #3 of this 3-album period. It's actually the first one I might skip songs on, depending on the mood. Back then, we had a ping-pong table in basement and Dad would play around with us, until he got bored. He'd hit play on this tape, and just destroy us. Once in awhile, I can still feel that ball sting me in the face. Thanks Dad (1951-2007), lol. Both sides start off with best songs of the album
Plaster caster is the best song of the album and one of my all time favorite kiss songs.

Seriously though, I do agree that the songs sound way better live. The production was kind of thin on the studio album. Still some really solid numbers on this and it's probably a top 5 Kiss album for me.
Tell our congressperson that I have agreed to say I like it more for some free beers.
I definitely agree: some GREAT tunes on this album, just more I don't feel that way about than on previous efforts.

Can’t believe comments on Love Gun ? It’s a fantastic album with Eddie Kramer producing. You guys weren’t there anticipating it’s release in 1977 !
Yeah, I was there. And I absolutely LOVE a little more than half of it. But some of those other songs just don't hold up for me, personally. Still a classic album, just not an overall favorite album.

Well at least you're not bitter about Got Love For Sale 😅. I totally agree 👍. One of Gene Simmons worst. Who does the high falsetto background...I got love for sale 🤮🤕. Tomorrow and Tonight. I would give 4 ⭐ to the studio version but I have no idea why they included it on Alive 2. The live version does nothing for me. I'm going to let you talk now. You are doing great 👍
3 5stars I Stole Your Love (alive2), Christine Sixteen and Shock Me. Hooligan 2stars. To me some of album gave a clue on what was to come, solos, dynasty and unmasked! More pop than hard rock.
I like Love Gun a lot, but for me it’s definitely the weakest of the first 6 albums. I remember buying it, listening to it a few times and feeling like there was something lacking compared with the albums before. The songs on Alive 2 are excellent, they definitely sound powerful. I love the cover, it’s definitely iconic. Great video.

For me is one of the best sounding álbums except plaster caster which sounds horrible in comparative, I stole have great solo of ace and Paul but I think it’s too much deep purple burn, I absolutely love shock me , tomorrow, love gun and of course hooligan and almost human, got love for sale it’s stupid song as rocking in the USA
Almost Human is killer and the bongos in the background funky and killer To each there own
I love this album. Then She kissed me is crap but the rest is great imo.
I really love your rants about kiss songs.... But you must be better at editing. I in this video, see your stars before you say them ;) But i''m a die hard Kiss fan born in 73, so i have my own feelings about the songs. I just to say them and in my mind, i compaire them to yours. Cheers

Holy Shit! The Asylum Album ruined English Language to me. Every time I hear someone say "anyway" by brain adds "you slice it" after it. And thats not even a good song
